- In this episode I am trying flattrack for the first time: exciting!!
I am first practising and riding on a Mash 125 and later I get to race on the Mash 650 too! What a great motorsports, atmosphere and dirt fun :D

The need for Noraly to come up with some interesting content has really created an opportunity for her to try a bunch of new adventures in motorcycling. Covid 19 seems to have pushed her into areas where she may never have gone. Perhaps something we all could learn from during this pandemic. Go Noraly!
I know this comes a year later from your comment and also with a little knowledge of what next seasons will be made of, I think that it wasn't just the need for new content, but also she had in mind what she would be doing next, so she knew she'd need these new skills. I know she got a Honda CRF for the next seasons, so its just in line of what this Season 4 has been providing for me so far. I'm excited to see the next seasons.

Nataly, just watched episode re: Market Garden. Thanks - Reminded me of the other impressive Niederlander I knew, and this one in person. Arie Dirk Bestebruetje. Rotterdam, 1916. Champion speed skater. Escaped Nazi's. Became OSS Jedburgh commando. Jumped in D-Day and Market Garden. Mentioned in C. Ryan's Longest Day and A Bridge too Far. Freed camp that Anne Frank's father was in. Had super interesting story about that and how he was blown into camp, was injured and escaped guards. My minister in Louisville, KY when I was kid. Great sermons. Special human being. Keep riding and posting. Merry Christmas from Dallas, TX.

What a great way to become an "advanced" rider for the street, as well as dirt, in learning how to stay relaxed (and stay away from the brakes) to handle the inevitable skid.
Well done for your first time at it. There's little compares to the fun of getting dirty, no matter how it's done.

Kudos for trying something new and a bit scary. I can't imagine racing on such a slick, unpredictable surface with no brakes. You did great for a rookie.
A slick-flat track is the exact opposite of a unpredictable surface.
There is a rear brake. No front brake. Short track speedway has ZERO brakes.
I love Norally, but I don't like hen in speed oriented motorsports, because she's too timid. This episode of flat track and motocross require you to be more aggressive. She's ridden enough miles (kilometers) that she should be a LOT more confident riding.
The channel feels more like a motorcycle-magazine than a travel blog. Nice work!

As a work outing, we did a day at Scunthorpe Speedway School. 125cc engines, no gears, no brakes, 90 metre shale covered track. Sounded very simple.
Instructor Wayne Carter had the bike sideways for 4 or 5 laps at a time making it look so easy. It was not, one of the most physically and mentally draining motorbike experience ever. The mindset of shutting off on the straight and accelerating into the bends was so alien.
Wayne was a brilliant and brave instructor, standing on the track giving his instructions. By the end of the day we could all hang th back out (followed more than once by a slow speed low side or highside). Ached from laughing at my mates, and i ached from head to toe for days afterwards.
Highly recommended for those in the UK who think that riding around a small oval is simple......

That actually is really hard to learn and important everywhere. Instinct when things start to go wrong is to cut power and hit the brakes, and that almost always makes things worse.
Ha, I tried to explain that to a guy who was learning to dirt bike ride with us. He kept grabbing brakes every time he got into the something that was a bit challenging. So he ended up dirt napping a lot.
"When in doubt, pin it in 3rd!"

A couple more days of that and you'd be as good as the others and would easily start to make up places on the track !

The thing that stands out to me, is how nice all these different moto guys all are. They all seem to be very unassuming, helpful and all around good guys, young and old. They truly are goodwill ambassadors for motorsport. It's a very interesting series Noraly, nicely done. Now I want to see you get on a top fuel dragster bike, and twist the throttle...

I've watched all the previous videos. It took weeks lol. Great fun though.
I recall watching dirt-track racing on British TV way back when - always good to watch as the bikes were specially designed for it and the guys would hold them, cranked right over and sliding all the way through every corner, very close together and at high speed - real close racing! Usually though the races were held in a stadium or similar, at least the ones which were televised.
Watching this took me back 50 plus years to a track near chicago called santa fe ...and my first and only attempt at that. You did well, and introduced thousands to the experience and side of the sport few see.
Just having the time of your life, enjoy while we can.

Actually the name Noraly means " God is mijn licht / God is my light " given to dutch born girls, but only around 7 times a year out of annually 82.500 new born girls in NL.
