Good morning dear friends of the internet ;) This is the last episode of season 4 (FOR NOW!). The Netherlands has been in a lockdown for a few weeks now, and still is.. So the episodes I still had planned, had to be cancelled unfortunately until further notice. I am going to use this time off UA-cam to further work on my new website, which is going to replace my current blog www.itchyboots.com. I hope it will be ready in February. Then I will also let you know what my travel plans will be, because I WILL resume my journey soon again. Life has to go on. LET'S GO!
Great show Itchy. Big fan. Just a pointer (not trying to be difficult), it would be nice if the Gentleman spoke in a language he’s comfortable in, we can use the subtitles any day. Keep doing great stuff.
I started enduro in England when I was 50 (17 years ago) and steep downhills frightened the life out of me. But my instructor taught me that downhill is better because (one way or another!) you'll always get to the bottom. Steep uphills .... no guarantee you'll get to the top. So .... no fear, back brake and sit as near to the rear mudguard as possible. You were brilliant. My favourite video to date and I have seen them all.
Jack, this is so true. I was so fearful when I started riding trials last year with all things downhill, mostly because I didn't trust the skinny front wheel. Now going downhill is so much easier for me than doing uphills, as you say there is no guarantee of getting up. And my worst crash so far has been a failed uphill.
You should be using more bias to the front brake on downhills...perhaps a little rear if necessary but its too easy to lock the rear if using rear brake and slide and that's not good!.....sit back, front brake and use the engine.
@@chr11sf The steep hills I'm talking about .... well one finger on the front brake and the back wheel aviates. Steep downhills are no place to do a stoppie!
Today is March 31, 2023 and I have just watched this video. You asked for a comment if anyone has ever ridden enduro, Yes. Near where I grew up, Pontiac Michigan, we had an area we called Box Canyon that was near the Clinton river. There was swampy marshy bogs as well as lush wooded areas. AND there was "the hill." It was not straight up, but is was daunting to run up or down it. A light weight bike with long shock travel, the most aggressive tires and a 250 CC 2 cycle engine that was not to "peaky" was the supreme setup for me. I was never pro, I didn't need a Kidney belt, but I did my share of scrambling through mud, swamp, slippery river rocks, woods and clay hill climbing. But as all things seem to do, it ended. In 1973 or so, someone bought the property to build a huge enclosed sports arena on it and we were kicked out. Whenever we came back after the no trespassing signs went up the police showed up to catch us and ticket anybody who endeavored to keep riding on the property. Finally the bulldozers showed up and removed the hill, filled in the swampy stuff and manicured the edge of the river. In 1975 it became the Pontiac Silver Dome sports arena. that "Dome" housed the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Loins. But, as with all things; in 2017 it was demolished to make room for Amazon executive offices and fulfillment centers. ben/ michigan
Noraly, you are a trooper! When your butt lands on a pointy rock (5:43) I could not help but wince and let a swear word out. And that's just me watching. "Oh, I'm okay" would not be the words out of my mouth if it were my butt hitting the rocks. But they were yours. Your constant smile and quick little giggles are reminders of how to deal with a little pain, adversity, and life in general.
You have been getting such valuable experience in this series to stand you in good stead when you resume your world travels. You have shown people the meaning of - Never give up & always keeping a sense of humour. That will get you through nearly anything. 👏🏻😘
Hi Noraly, I rode street bikes in all sorts and shapes for 10 years. Till i discovered ofroad/enduro riding. One day of riding convinced me to want to ride enduro more and more I can see you realy enjoy offroad riding!!! That makes me happy.
Hats off!! Definitely hats off! I wanted to see this since I'm an enduro beginner myself :) Wow, Noraly! That was clearly not an easy terrain for a start! I would've been scared to death on those tracks! Respect!!! Best wishes from lockdowned Vienna
It sucks but the 300 has way to much torque for anyone learning. 125 for most adults and people with short legs or lacking in physical ability should be on an 85 until more skill is mastered....That's just a fact of Enduro.
This was close to my heart, it was fun to see you try enduro style riding. I spent 10 years racing competitive enduro on the east coast of America in the late 70's, . I am now 70 years old and plan to retire and move to Michigan, buy a dual sport and start trail riding. Watching this got me excited to start riding again. I love your channel, keep up the good vids, thanks
I discovered ItchyBoots in season 6, picking up the Patagonia-Alaska event. I went back & started at Season 1. After watching this season, I understand how you managed all the trails in South & Central America, through the jungles. You are amazing. I am a 73y old woman who still loves to ride & you inspire me. I am totally addicted to your videos .
Found the channel a couple of months ago and as the UK has been in lockdown i have no work and not supposed to be riding my bikes so started season 1 with Noraly and Basanti. I have now been through all 4 seasons and finally up to date. Brilliant content, superbly put together and you cannot help but warm to Noraly and look forward to the next bit of riding she does. Hopefully the world will start to emerge from the darkness soon and the ray of sunshine that is Noraly will be back on her travels so we can share them with her .... Lets Go !
Total respect Noraly. I have been racing/riding Enduro, Motocross, Trials and Trails for a long time and must tell you that you did a fantastic job there in Belgium. Those trails were super tough, especially when wet. Those 300cc 2-strokes are also very difficult to master. Thanks for sharing your day with us. Great action. I look forward to more adventures when you are allowed to film them.
Absolutely Awesome! Too see you go from what looked like a pretty harsh fall on the rock by the first water crossing, to that "tired, but happy with what I have learned" attitude is so great to see. You obviously have so much potential as a rider. For a 1 person production, your videos are incredible. Great job. I will be recommending more viewers for sure!
Noraly was laughing as she fell. I'm only 6 minutes in and Noraly earns "Respect of the Year Award" already!! My bum would be hurting for a month. Hope yours is ok Noraly!! So sad this is the last episode for a while. Lockdown. God help us all. I'm in NZ in lockdown free summer but we had a real scare again. Just take care everyone. Happy trails and stay safe. When I think back on Noraly's adventures...what a brilliant and amazing woman and the best entertainment and education on YT.
I started riding motorbike when I was 16. The friends I hung out with loved to do trail riding. I had a small Yamaha Enduro, and did my best to keep up with them, but they had way more riding experience then I had. It was very hard riding so I just resolved to stick to road riding. Kudos to you Noraly for giving it a try and sticking it out.
As a student I rode trails with friends nearly every weekend for about 4 years. Rode several "enduro" trails, but few places as rocky as some of the sections in this video. Also did one or two fairly deep water crossings. It is hard and a very good workout. Thanks to this video, all those great memories came flooding back. Feeling extremely nostalgic now. Noraly, with this video, I have now watched every episode on your channel. In the past 4 months I think I have watched a Netflix movie 3 times, much preferring to be entertained by you. You are an extremely special person. Thank you so very much for the hours and hours of work you have put in to make it possible for so many to enjoy your epic adventures. Now I have to wait for your notifications to come in as you post your next instalments of your season 5 adventure. Can't wait!!! Stay safe and keep on with your envious life style.
Well done Noraly I think you did brilliantly at that - it's a lot harder than it looks isn't it (especially in the mud) - I think there's no doubt this sort of riding enhances your overall ability but for me I still struggle to see where the fun part is...whenever I've done this sort of riding I always feel scared and by the end of it completely knackered (very tired).....I think I'll stick to the road!! Great viewing as ever, all the best for the New year and look forward to whatever you come up with next! Stay safe! - Andy x
Thanks so much Andy!! Yeah and as you know those GoPro cameras flatten every steep bit out too haha 😅 but to me I still prefer the dirt and mud over the pavement though! Anyway, will contact you again somewhere this week, need to speak to you! 💪😋
If off-road riding has been stressful every time, I suspect you had a bad set up. It’s easy for that to happen. If the seat is too high, there’s too much power, or you’re on the wrong tires, it can be nerve-racking. If you’re on a good learning bike, with the right tires for the terrain, and it’s not too hard of a trail, it should be really fun! Not stressful. 😃
I think there are those of us who are so scared of riding on the roads that it seems to take away the fun there. There are different scary parts of the dirt but at least they are mostly not life threatening.
@@HippoDrones I know, I follow him (and have for years). I'm just trying to say that for him street riding is no fear and comfortable. For plenty of other people they have as much discomfort and lack of fun riding on the street as he does in the dirt. I do not understand how he doesn't love dirt riding.
I just hooked up with you and your videos Jan 20 23. You are my newest and coolest female biker. Love your videos and the way you make them it is like being right beside you in your journey's. Keep up the good work. Love your laughter ❤
Just happened on this episode after binging a bunch of Itchy Boots season 5 and 6. I can relate to the difficulty of the concepts of keeping the bike in control in the technical sections. I was invited to run a private enduro course with my bone stock TTR-225 (NOT a great setup for enduro), which I thought after 15 years of trail riding would be a piece of cake. I learned more about this kind of riding in an hour on that course than in all of the other riding experience combined. Most important was low tire pressure, second was setup when approaching an obstacle. I dropped the bike a bunch of times, bent and broke things on the bike but fortunately kept my body parts in tact. I felt that experience as you did it in this video - part of what makes your channel so successful IMO.
Don't get to see too many of your videos lately. I really do love them. You sell the idea of riding a bike with no effort whatsoever. You gave me tense shoulders watching this....I ride every day of the year, but only on the road, and this had me on the edge of my (kitchen) seat as I wrestled the controls of an imaginary bike. Thanks.
YEAH! That was the most fun one could ever imagine! Thank you so much, Noraly :)) I grew up with this kind of stuff, my very first bike with a motor between the wheels at the age of 14 was a Suzuki TS 50 ER (3 hp) which I rode in the woods literaly every single minute of my spare time (and some more, I must admit). For me Enduro is a kind of supreme discipline, it combines every single aspect of riding a motorbike. Congrats on mastering this very tough test with brilliance!
We're all human. However, she does go. And that's an important trait. Going - rather than talking about going... Noraly: You've got me thinking about trying my hand at cross-country. You're an 'influencer'....
I once had a very high stress job. I worked with a woman, probably about the size of Noraly, that whenever she got into an intense situation she would laugh. She was a very strong and determined woman.
That kind of riding is what I did when I first started riding a motorcycle. We just called it trail riding. The terrain that you rode in looked a lot like Missouri. I live in the U.S. in the N.E. part of the state of Missouri. We have a motocross track about 20 miles west of here. There are several converted mines that are used for enduro, trail riding and 4 wheel drive mudding about 35 miles north of here. The best is across the Mississippi River in Illinois. It is located near the town of Marble, Illinois. Lots of fun. Best way to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Loved the show today Noraly. Reminds me of my youth. Take care kiddo. Vaughn
Hi Noraly, I have done endoro about 43 years ago, I am now a 65 year old man now, and can't ride anymore, so I watch your videos, which are quite good I have to say.
Wow, you are the toughest lady I have ever seen on a bike. I mean, just to go out there in that terrain and do so well. You know, falling of a bike is just a way to practise how to get on it again :-) . I hope you didn't hurt yourself to much!! Now I'll go back and look at all S4 episodes again. Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting out this seasons videos for me/us to enjoy...
I shall miss meeting up with you on you-tube Noraly and look forward to your return. I laughed when I did trials in the 60's, laughed even more when I trialled with a sidecar! Enduros in the 80's and 90's and laughed the whole time. Loved the way you laughed off your falls, but falling off tires you and you fall off again and so on. Rocks and tree roots are the most difficult I found, but you did really good. The whole series 4 has been a real hoot. You have brightened up lockdown in the UK and worldwide.
Video proof that attitude is half the battle! With how difficult that was many people would have been spooked or given up. Your laughter at each crash shows that your were in a good mental place and ready to challenge yourself 😜 PS: I felt that water crossing crash from here!
New 2021 itchy boots scarf and Calender ordered. Picking up my new Rock red Himalayan on Saturday. Itchy boots is solely responsible for me selling my 40 years old BMW R100rs! I test rode a Himalayan 2 weeks ago and was the most fun I’d had on a bike in 30 years. Thanks for the exposure to this wonderful bike Miss Boots. Keep up the great work and good luck for your channel in the future.
I have tried enduro riding. It's really all I do. I began teaching my son when he was 8 years old and he became a pro rider which he did for 5 years, riding European style enduro races. Now we both still ride, but just for fun.
Wow. Incredible riding. I loved this video and your fearlessness, even when you were afraid it did not disable you from pressing in and moving on!! Amazing..... stuff thank you Noraly
Enduro Riding is Brutal ✅ It just saps all you strength and energy when you go down and have to pick up your bike and keep going ..... By the end of the day you were looking good 👍❗️ That guy that had the arm pump surgery was a seriously skilled Endurance rider..... Excellent Video ❗️❗️❗️
Found u in season 6 and got hooked and started watching from season 1 :-) Now in season 4 your riding tracks and enduro and flat track and trials and I have a new respect for your skill level. TY for the inspiration you have given me to get out on the roads whether its raining or even cold, no excuse not to see the beautiful world we live in on a motortickel, *if you lay it down your going to feel a tickel*. LOL 'Eyes forward and keep your feet on the pegs'
Hi Noraly, this is taking riding to the extremes!, the terrain seemed impossible, and not for the faint hearted, yet you conquered 99% of it with amazing skills, you have my utmost admiration!
Noraly, Just found your channel today, it's great! I'm here in California. I'm an old 62 years dirt only rider. Ride more dirt! You will improve quickly! It will improve your street and adventure riding. Learning the balance, picking a line, clutch control, it will improve all aspects of riding.
Noraly, I’ve loved watching your adventures around the world and closer to home with the covid lockdowns. Your films were very influential in my deciding to buy a Himalayan. I’m British but live in the Philippines where the Himalayan is perfect for our roads out here. I’ve just started my own motovlog and if I can make it half as engaging and informative as yours then I’ll be a very happy man. Thank you for inspiring me and keep up the great vlogging!
Wow that's so difficult - Ronin spirit in Noraly. You really are one unique motocycle vlogger. Wish you the best for the upcoming website and future. Enjoyed every episode of all the seasons. God bless you.
So well done Noraly! This, and when you were at the police academy Motocrossing,.. somehow reminded me on horse riding. I know, don't laugh. It's when to accelerate or when to brake on the up-downhills, where to look (forward where you want to end up.. not down where you Are..). Great to watch. I felt with you. Well done. Thanks for showing this. 😎💪👏🤗🤗
You are sooo strong and resilient. Noraly.. do not stop your adventure. I saw when you lost Dahnnoh, but your skills have grown so much and you are ready for another adventure. Your training is comprehensive and superb. You have become a traveler worthy of the best company. Please don’t stop. Continue on.someday I would love to join you if even for a few miles in my state of California. Be safe, be Noraly. We all need you to show us the world.
Loved this episode. For me endure is how I learned to ride and watching you made me want to get back out there. Off road practice is essential for long adventure rides. Well done girl.
Itchy boots nailed Wallonia. 💪👍. I found you months ago when you picked up your Honda. You came back as a recommendation 4 days before Xmas and I started watching. Then your Xmas video came out with the delivery’s around Utrecht. From that moment I watched every single video so far. Maybe the wrong way round but never mind. Just finished series one tonight. You have given 637k people something. Each person who has subscribed to your channel has related to you in one way or another. You are not just a motorcycle vlogger that is for sure. You have restored my faith in human nature. Thankyou from England for all your hard work. goede gezondheid to you and your family in these hard times. 👌😊
You showed great tenacity and did so well there, absolutely feeling the fear but doing it anyway. It was very funny though. You will be be missed very much during the lockdown, your videos are a real tonic for a great many people...
Enduro is how I started riding motorcycles - it was lots of fun. You took such a beating in these past 2 episodes for us and still you laugh every time you fall! I hope you’re not bruised too badly - my own hip still hurts after watching you hit the rocks. Stay safe and healthy and we all look forward to your next adventures.
love the way you laugh through everything. I have been doing this for 2 years and still have days like that. Its such a drug and the world has so many trails.
Wow! Awesome! Shows how much you want to learn. Yes. I remember my instructor's tip, look where you want to go. Stay on the pegs, adjusting the handlebar height to fit me. Also, where you lost control/fell 5:38 , he would advice me anticipate the uphill, lean forward "power" thru. And so many more. These new techniques you learned will make you a formidable off road rider. Good Luck.
In a couple of videos this season I have heard the teachers remark: Look where you want to go. You go where you look, that includes the ground. I love your videos and admire you for your adventures.
Practice makes man perfect after all this training we r going to see a huge difference in ur riding skills good keep up. let ur fear out & unleash the beast ❤️❤️❤️👍
Have really enjoyed this season, every episode has been great. This looks fun but some hard bumps 😯. Looking forward to more of your travels when you can. 😎🏍🏍🏍
Brilliantly done Noraly. In my younger days our enduro bikes did not have electric start...when you fall you have to kick start...and with 2-stroke and a racing plug...oh boy it was tiresome....but that was many moons ago. Well done!
Wow that looks quite difficult! You did extremely well. Thanks for sharing this with us. 🙂👍 I don't know whether to put this on my bucket list or not. 🤭

This is intense!!! You never give up and just get up and keep doing it -- all with a smile on your face and in your heart.
I have tried enduro and it is definetly not easy! You, as always, have made it look easy!
You are a very special person, Noraly! Amazing!
It made my eyes water when you fell off towards those large rocks.... and you just got back up, respect to you!
Falls with butt on big hard pointy rock. Damn that must have hurt badly. "Are you okay?". "Yes I'm fine." Huge respect!!
Thanks.
Milles fois merci pour ces trois videos avec la police de votre pays , pour tout ce partage !
YEAH! That was the most fun one could ever imagine! Thank you so much, Noraly :))
I grew up with this kind of stuff, my very first bike with a motor between the wheels at the age of 14 was a Suzuki TS 50 ER (3 hp) which I rode in the woods literaly every single minute of my spare time (and some more, I must admit).
For me Enduro is a kind of supreme discipline, it combines every single aspect of riding a motorbike. Congrats on mastering this very tough test with brilliance!
Noraly is like :”I am ok..lets go...oww..oww..POOF 💥.I am ok...”😂..but in the end you enjoyed it..Thats what matters.👍
My gosh, one can break a hip falling on a rock like that. Hope Noraly is okay. Such a trooper nothing faze her!
My name is Bassam from Tunisia and I admire you and follow you with passion and encourage you to continue your journey.
My wife and are totally impressed with your positive attitude while learning New riding techniques. Keep up the great content.
When Noraly gets nervous or even a little bit frightened she laughs more and harder:-)
Been riding Enduro and trials all my life. Hats off to you for giving it a go. Certainly builds confidence... Love Sydney, Australia
Vaughn
Coming back to watch seasons I missed! I can only smile and laugh as I watch her as I'm sure most of you are! 🙂
"Oh dear..." I think many people would have exclaimed "Oh f..."!! Lovely stuff. Great fun!! Cheered me up no end! Thankyou, Noraly.
I guess a few of the more heavy outcries will land on the floor of the editing room ...
Love watching you learning new skills, practice makes perfect
.
Yes, a lot more practice is nescessary ! - beginning with slow turns, ups and downs - etc.
et pourtant....ça a l'air tellement facile quand on regarde des courses !!!!
Bravo Noraly !! 👍👍👍
Getting back on that horse and riding it!
You’re terrific!
Gotta get back on.
Yeah, grew up with this saying. Not many motorbikes to fall off then, plenty of horses💪😂😂
The electric bike looked like loads of fun to ride. Nice and quiet Enduro. Great job.
Video proof that attitude is half the battle! With how difficult that was many people would have been spooked or given up. Your laughter at each crash shows that your were in a good mental place and ready to challenge yourself 😜
PS: I felt that water crossing crash from here!
Yeah, and that mantra "no fear", I really like that.
This series is the best thing to come out of 2020, thank you so much!.
Yea, I'm fine.
Itchy boots, you crack me up with every episode.
You are so fortunate to know all this amazing people, I envy you for that, they are so patient and helpful
Enduro Riding is Brutal ✅
It just saps all you strength and energy when you go down and have to pick up your bike and keep going .....
By the end of the day you were looking good 👍❗️
That guy that had the arm pump surgery was a seriously skilled Endurance rider.....
Hi Noraly, really enjoying your videos! They make the lockdown bearable. Keep up the good work. Thanks
I think youre so brave! No challenge is too much and you are so inspiring! I am loving this series as much as your travels xoxox
I'm inspired to see someone push themselves to try new things, difficult things, continuously.
OUWA! That ROCK you landed on looked REALLY sharp! 😮
Very enjoyable to watch, thank you Noraly, you keep many people happy in this sad time of our lives. Stay safe, protect yourself. best wishes, Jeff
You are trully trully the best, Norely. 🏆🥇💯💪
Ouch 😖😨 the way you fell back and bounced off that rock into the stream looked extremely painful, hope you're ok!!!
It looked to me like she jumped off, so she wouldn't get caught under the bike.
Again respect Noraly. You are one fearless and tough lady. These are the skills that will help you on your world travels even more. Keep safe!
Ontzettend goed gedaan Noraly, dit was echt vet moeilijk maar je nailde het gewoon wel! Hier ga je superveel aan hebben op je reizen!
Loved this episode. For me endure is how I learned to ride and watching you made me want to get back out there. Off road practice is essential for long adventure rides. Well done girl.
Always nice to see that notification popping up for a new video!
You don’t reduce speed driving thru mud or on a muddy incline. You are my hero biker.
Great video Noraly .my gran said "a pert bum offers no cushioning "
I think when it hits the floor or ground
You showed great tenacity and did so well there, absolutely feeling the fear but doing it anyway. It was very funny though. You will be be missed very much during the lockdown, your videos are a real tonic for a great many people...
OUCH, landing on that rock in the creek had to leave a heck of a bruise. But you survived another adventure. Good for you. Ride safe.
All I could see was the rocks and broken bones!! and I'm too old for that now...
Massive respect.
@The Old Husky Ah, but they were probably competent before they got old!
That was a tough days riding, you were great, this experience came in handy for your American adventure, you are such a brave person
Ha! Starting to watch everything again after the big Movie (end season 7) ey?
Same here 😁🔚😎👍
Kudos to you for giving all these different disciplines a try. You’re a BA.
Wow! Good Luck.
Bless you’re heart! So glad you didn’t get hurt. Little bit difficult for first time. However you proved you’ve got what it takes.
In a couple of videos this season I have heard the teachers remark: Look where you want to go. You go where you look, that includes the ground. I love your videos and admire you for your adventures.
this advice applies to life in general, like driving, mtb, skiing (esp. in woods), windsurfing etc. Great advice
@@asquare9316 Keep up the good work, your videos brighten my day and my horizons.
Thanks for being human😉your riding has so improved!
Love your mood, always, and forward...
OMG. That spill hurt just watching it. You're much tougher than me. We love your videos ❤️.
Wow!
Brilliantly done Noraly. In my younger days our enduro bikes did not have electric start...when you fall you have to kick start...and with 2-stroke and a racing plug...oh boy it was tiresome....but that was many moons ago. Well done!
I did ride enduro when i was younger, but now im 85 so no more. You bring back my younger days when my youngest daughter and i used to ride.
Reminds me of those times you fell down from Basanti, somewhere in Thailand
Wow that looks quite difficult! You did extremely well. Thanks for sharing this with us. 🙂👍 I don't know whether to put this on my bucket list or not. 🤭
I'd say if you want to give it a go, you'll have to bring all your courage! I'm pretty certain I don't have that much of it myself!
@@gwrider2146 It certainly looks challenging.
Got my Itchy Boots keychain in the mail today! Love watching your videos everyday :)
Been riding endurance for many years, so I know how hard it is. You were doing good for being the first time. I am impressed.
Noraly, you did an awesome job! If you can ride on that terrain, everything else should be a piece of cake. Great job!!!
