I’m guessing that Alastor made a contract to Lilith as referenced in episode 5 where Husk mentions that Alastor is also on a leash. This is also supported by the fact that Alastor immediately appeared at the Hotel’s door when Charlie called Lilith. But anyways, about Alastor’s contract. I’m guessing Alastor asked Lilith for access to Angelic weapons, gaining the ability to kill sinners and by proxy overlords. This lead to the power he has now. I think that Alastor either might not have access to the Angelic weapons when not with Lilith or he simply does't feel the need to use them. The way he threatens Husker by tearing his soul apart and also when fighting the shark sinners he mentions eating them so I think he can consume them in a way or use their pulled apart soul fragments in his radio show. Just goes to show he can get pretty creative in how to get rid of other sinners 😅
I bet all those old overlords possibly in his staff Make sense because in the pilot the staff talk that means possibly that could be a voice one of those overlords he make a deal or kill them
He definitely has some kind of shadow realm. When he summons those black shadow demons, it would make sense those are just souls of those he’s beat being used as minions
He definitely takes the souls from the bodies before they respawn, which tracks with how when a sinner is killed by an angel their soul gravitates towards the nearest object, that’s why some walls and benches in the pride ring have eyes
It’s pretty obvious that this was before he made his deal with someone and he had his full 100% monstrous power rivaling even the most powerful beings.
They only regenerate if killed, if you keep them alive they'll be trapped forever. Considering Alistor is a cannibal he was probably using them like living gyro stations, just carving a bit off when hungry.
Theory: I think the souls are trapped in Alastor's staff because as you can see in episode 5, the Husker's collar's soul chain is wrapped around Alastor's staff, so theirs a possibility that Husker's soul is in the staff meaning the other overlords are in there too
Remember his wording when he threatened Husk the next scene after the explanation: He said he’d tear his soul apart and broadcast his screams. Maybe when he did the same thing to the other Overlords the fact that he tears their souls apart is what prevents them from respawning
My guess is he trapped their souls in his little microphone staff thing because he carries it everywhere and, in his part of stayed gone, there's a particular scene where he sets it down, the scene kinda highlighted the microphone and it gave me a weird feeling might just be me though.
Probably devoured them. Not dead, but reforming and burning away inside of him, the real him we see in his shadow, the real him that his stitches keep drawn tightly together to hide. Their screams so far within him that his microphone amplifies them for others to hear what he does all the time. Just as his own voice is constantly being amplified in the same way. I suppose that means their souls as well as those they had collected are his then too by extension.
@@luravanhelsing1401 more like a hell contained within him. Fueling him, fueling his rage, his anguish. His power. Not unlike a vampire drinks blood, but rather than the life-force, it's the very source itself.
Thanks for your answer. 😃 I thought of a Vampire because in Hellsing OVA is explained: that souls are like a currency that give you much power in battles and their even would become a part of you.
I asked myself what happened to these overloads after rewatching all the episodes this past weekend and my (probably very incorrect) answer was that Alastor works for Eve (rather than Lilith), who I imagine to be similar to Adam since she is literally made of part of him. Eve was likley subservient her whole living life and I imagine she is either mad or feels tricked by Lilith and Lucifer for giving her the apple, or jealous toward Lilith for having the life she does while Eve was forced to be subservient and or forced out of the garden to suffer ect. So she is working with Alastor (who loves his mother - possibly a reference). And they collected the souls of the overloads, the screams of which drowned out Lilith’s songs - weakening hells citizens resolves down enough to where Eve was strong enough to take Lilith hostage or Lilith left to protect Charlie - and perhaps Eve wants a war with heaven for some reason - she was thrown out for being given the apple, so maybe she feels resentment or like it was unfair… I imagine if she’s similar to Adam it wouldn’t be impossible for her to be a dick for no reason. I think the souls are being kept in Eve’s garden
I think I do remember hearing some sort of lore, that said something about how Alastor will occasionally trap his victims in a plane of looped torment and misery, called: The Show. Or, he’d simply tore their souls apart, killing them for good.
Not just trapped but siphoned of there powers that's probably y he's so powerful think of it it almost seems like he lots of powers summonings, size manipulation, space/matter manipulation
I think Alastor wanted to help with the hotel because we know that he smiles for his mother all the time and his mother is probably in heaven instead of hell so maybe he wants to be able to get to heaven and see his mother again or his mother is in hell and wants to help his mother get into heaven so she has a happy afterlife.
Hay maybe in the next Hazbin Hotel episode will see how he does it, and maybe if we're lucky will see him do it to the V Squad at the end of the Season 1. Or even better if he does it to Adam and Lute at the Extermination Day Final Battle.
I like to think that Vox was Alastor’s next target, pretending to be friendly with him, and Vox believed him, even actually maybe becoming good friends. But then Alastor felt that it was time to try and ‘kill him’ or whatever he does with overlords. And that’s when the battle happened that we learn about in episode 2.
Alastor possibly scares them and tricks them into making a deal with him so that he doesn't kill them but then he rips their souls apart and broadcasts it.
With his line to Husker about ripping his soul apart sorta implies that having a contract over another's soul means that you can mutilate their soul beyond revival.
I’m pretty sure it has been stated long before the actual series came out that Alastor devours sinners in hell and those sinners are not able to respawn. So, I’m led to believe it’s the same here, he records the screams on the staff as he devours them and then broadcasts the voice, not the scream, but the voice, across the pride ring.
The fact that you can hear their screams makes me think you probably just trapped them in a radio but they’re actually inside the radio and that’s probably why they’re screaming because just imagine how much pain you’ll be in and being inside of a radio and music blasting from it, but your eardrums are gonna be destroyed in a secondthey probably can’t even hear their self screaming anymore
My theory was that his deal with Lilith made him powerful enough to kill souls instead of just overlords/sinners. Since souls don't die unless pierced by angelic weapons, maybe the power he was given was heavenly enough to exterminate souls without weapons.
I feel like it works like a dark souls system. If you die as an overlord all of “your souls” are freed. So after you kill them and they regenerate they’re just back to level 1, no power and remembering how awful it was to get killed by Allistor
He probably ate them, his design is base on a Wendigo which are known for cannibalism, he probably ate them without killing them and feeds off their power, explains why he’s so powerful.
He seems to have the ability to take souls and destroy them without acquiring them via deal as you can see in his threat to husker which you can see by looking and most of the comments
Could be that alastor has either his own mini realm within hell where he went to recover from adam or depending on how big the pride ring is he actually has his own radio tower house hes had before moving to the hotel somewhere. Or maybe since he was a cannibal before death he has some kind of "eat your soul" kinda power. It would explain how he got to be so powerful so quickly.
I also found it interesting that Mimsy's story was near-exact same as Vaggie's in the pilot. I was expecting Mimsy to know a bit more since she knew Alastor even when he was alive.
Even tho they talked about his backstory I hope that there’s an episode in the future about Alastor being killed when he was alive and how he began to rise to power

He took on sight too seriously 💀
He definitely has some kind of shadow realm. When he summons those black shadow demons, it would make sense those are just souls of those he’s beat being used as minions
He tears their souls apart like how he threatened to do to husk
He definitely takes the souls from the bodies before they respawn, which tracks with how when a sinner is killed by an angel their soul gravitates towards the nearest object, that’s why some walls and benches in the pride ring have eyes
"Keep me trapped in you're realm Alastor, and maybe even MAKE me scream."
It’s pretty obvious that this was before he made his deal with someone and he had his full 100% monstrous power rivaling even the most powerful beings.
I rememberd it as he catched them and just torture them in order to scream without killing them
They only regenerate if killed, if you keep them alive they'll be trapped forever. Considering Alistor is a cannibal he was probably using them like living gyro stations, just carving a bit off when hungry.
"i have a mouth and i must scream, thing is i can only scream"
If you look very closely you can see his staff does have an angelic microphone which he could use
Theory: I think the souls are trapped in Alastor's staff because as you can see in episode 5, the Husker's collar's soul chain is wrapped around Alastor's staff, so theirs a possibility that Husker's soul is in the staff meaning the other overlords are in there too
Remember his wording when he threatened Husk the next scene after the explanation:
He said he’d tear his soul apart and broadcast his screams.
Do you mean like a Vampire?😅
@@luravanhelsing1401 more like a hell contained within him. Fueling him, fueling his rage, his anguish. His power. Not unlike a vampire drinks blood, but rather than the life-force, it's the very source itself.
Thanks for your answer. 😃
I thought of a Vampire because in Hellsing OVA
is explained: that souls are like a currency that give you
much power in battles and their even would become a part of you.
He ate the evidence for lunch like a plump breasted pigeon.
You are not the only one that thought of Eva.
And very interesting theory, I love it.😃😍
I think I do remember hearing some sort of lore, that said something about how Alastor will occasionally trap his victims in a plane of looped torment and misery, called: The Show. Or, he’d simply tore their souls apart, killing them for good.
The shadows he summons are likely the last shreds of those overlords. They aren't dead, but they aren't exactly alive either.
It's funny how the other overlords wanted to eliminate him but ended up "eliminated" instead
Thats called underestimation.
But Alastor’s on the leash as well. Now I am scared who’s pulling the strings behind the scene
Cannibalism also kills them if he devoured every part.
Not just trapped but siphoned of there powers that's probably y he's so powerful think of it it almost seems like he lots of powers summonings, size manipulation, space/matter manipulation
„I will Tare your soul aparat and brodcast your screams” i think its enough
Oh sweetheart, torture and death are complete opposite punishments.
Plus, who doesn't love fresh red meat?
Or he just traumatised them so much they don't want to cross his path anymore
Alastor uses voodoo magic, he must be connected to the gods of voodoo. So he definitely has powers to send souls to other dimensions
Bro I was thinking the exact same thing those overlords he "killed" were actually offerings to voodoo lwa spirits he sacrificed them.
Alastor rips apart their souls and broadcasts the SOUL screaming through his radio channel for sinners to hear across hell
The overlords design are amazing❤ and I really hope we get to know more about them
HELLO ALASTOR
@@Alastorsimp300 Hello Alastor
@@Alastor117. HELLO MY FELLO!
what XD
Often in lore demons consume other demons to gain power. They are trapped inside the other demon fueling the one who consumed them .
He gave a hint as to what he do to Husk when he threatened him, shred their soul as he broadcast it on radio
in my opinion I think that he took their souls and turned them in his voodoo puppets as we can see in episode 8
Depends how you look at it I suppose ^^
When attacking sharks, Alastor said he would devour them all, think about it
Hay maybe in the next Hazbin Hotel episode will see how he does it, and maybe if we're lucky will see him do it to the V Squad at the end of the Season 1. Or even better if he does it to Adam and Lute at the Extermination Day Final Battle.
No, VVV are main antagonists in season 2. Adam is main antagonist of season 1.
my theory he somehow turned the overlord into his cartoony henchmen
My theory is Nom nom
😂🤦♀️...🤣🤣🤣
I think they become those little demons that Alastor spawns during the fight with Adam
The more and more i learn about Husk the more i feel for the poor guy
I like to think that Vox was Alastor’s next target, pretending to be friendly with him, and Vox believed him, even actually maybe becoming good friends. But then Alastor felt that it was time to try and ‘kill him’ or whatever he does with overlords. And that’s when the battle happened that we learn about in episode 2.
I haven,t watched episode 2 but your thoughts sounds very interesting.😃
Love your comment.💖
My head cannon was that Al ate them, since yk he's a cannibal and is designed to look like a Wendigo
Maybe he puts them in the dimension that his tentacles come from when he’s destroying sir pentious at the start
Interesting imagination.🤔
My theory was that his deal with Lilith made him powerful enough to kill souls instead of just overlords/sinners. Since souls don't die unless pierced by angelic weapons, maybe the power he was given was heavenly enough to exterminate souls without weapons.
I just think he ate them like he did to a few of the loan sharks that attacked the hotel
I feel like it works like a dark souls system. If you die as an overlord all of “your souls” are freed. So after you kill them and they regenerate they’re just back to level 1, no power and remembering how awful it was to get killed by Allistor
I believe that Alastor uses their souls and power, hence why he is so powerful, and why a shadow constantly follows him
He probably ate them, his design is base on a Wendigo which are known for cannibalism, he probably ate them without killing them and feeds off their power, explains why he’s so powerful.
That sounds veeery interesting!😅
He's *the radio demon*
He turned them into radio waves most likely
Trapped them obviously, since we can hear their screams on the radio
Alastor is the most enigmatic character in the series and I need to know more
he might be a fallen angle based on how he said his goal is to unclip his wings
In my opinion overlords seem to get their power from their influence, so I feel like Alastor's "prey" could be the shades he summons.
alastor sayed " i ll tear your soul apart" to scare husk
maybe he found a way to totally destroy a soul
Even tho they talked about his backstory I hope that there’s an episode in the future about Alastor being killed when he was alive and how he began to rise to power
I think he kills them by destroying their soul, which I think is a sinner's real weakness that angelic steel exploits.
He sacraficed then to voodoo spirits thats the most likley explanation honestly it ties into everything he do
Absolutely!😃
it could also work with his voodoo background. that might give him the edge he needs to deal with their souls in a unique way other overlords might not know how to do.
Yeah Iv been trying to tell people that for a minute alastor obviously uses voodoo they put it in are faces all the time its more likely then lilith who obviously doesn't care
I just wanna say that the wendigo guy looked so awesome.
