I want to get this message out. I had a dripping tap, hot and cold sides. When off work with man flu, I started to look, turned off the water, then went to bed for two days. In the intervening time my wife and kids tried to turn the water on many times and grumbled. When I turned the water back on both taps had stopped dripping. Worth a try. Not the man flu. Turn the water off and operate several times. They now haven't dripped for four days.
Always helping my Dad, But in this istance he is the teacher in plumbing and shows me how to fix taps and alike but I am getting there. Lol fantastic Vid thanks.

I bet to differ in opinion in changing a new tap instead of repair. I hv renew the o ring in the tap n it work fine.

I have a question please regarding those new mixer taps that you fitted in the video
when they start dripping, how do you fit the new glands ( because this is happening to my sisters ) how do you remove the tap covers please, many thanks
The ends pop out to reveal a screw undo that and pull off the tops, that will reveal the brass head, get a spanner and undo that , then you can change the washer.
Another informative vid, I thought all the tails were a standard length , nice to know shorter one are available. Where was your cap? I don't think I've ever seen you without one, lol

Oh god mate, I fucking hate those, every time a customer asks me to stop it 'leaking' I give them 2 options - A)I repair the cartridge after several hours of buggering about and nearly breaking it and covering it in chip marks where my grips have damaged the body OR B) Replace with a new tap costing pretty much the same if not cheaper then A.
Yeh I know, those taps are a nightmare.
