I’m thinking that all us Pothos/Philo collectors are going to have more interesting displays very soon now that we can see how they look together. Thank you
I have been doing this quite a lot lately and it's great when you bought mostly cuttings and baby plants. Saves a lot of space and the plants seem to appreciate their new companion(s). Saves quite a lot of time and water too. A great trick 😉
This has me thinking about some pothos I’ve got growing in separate pots. I’ve got a global green, a Brazil and a golden pothos I could combine. This video has given me a new way to look at things. Thank you.
I have philodendron lemon lime and brasil in the same pot and it looks absolutely gorgeous. It doesn't even look like it's two different plants. I also have a pot of philodendron pink princess with silver sward, I love the contrast between the dark and light leaves. And my biggest pot is full of different marantas, I have five different ones in there and I love how it looks.
@EverythingPlants Oh, yea! I meant I am taking your lead...😆 I have some Philo Brazil, regular green Philo and Lemon Philo propagating. I am going to combine them like you did. It will be GORGEOUS!!! 🤗🤗🤗🥰
So.... My ordering 2 Alocasia red secret and 2 more A. Zebrina for the purpose of making each look fuller was kinda on point but also missing the point of saving space 🤔🤣 My barely variegated golden pothos, neon and marble Queen are together. The marble Queen is half way up a 5 foot bamboo stake and the neon is starting and the golden is the slowest growing plant I've ever met. It is filling out the bottom but i don't know if it's trailing at all 🤔 i love how the three look in one pot though and sharing a pole. The leaf shape being identical (or pretty close) really helps it to not look like a mixed pot. My p&j/njoy (i can't tell what it is) and global green will also look great there are they both have thicker leaves and my global does get white sports quite often, but i need my P&J to grow more or it will go missing with the global who seems to thrive on my disdain for it! I had three separate and gross juvenile sizes of deliciosa and i put them all together. I know i may regret it but this way the plant looks fuller and it is far easier to give them all the same light! My PPP came with 3 plants and at this point i have zero desire to separate bc it looks full with a bigger medium and tiny plant in the pot. When they do need repotted i may try to put them less on top of each other but I'm not sure if it's 3 seperate plants or if they are offshoots 🤷🏼♀️ I have two pink dragon alocasia but the leaves are different so i know they're not actually identical. The plan is to plug them together at some point anyway bc they both have the bright pink stems. I need to ask in the alocasia Reddit which one is actually the dragon and what the other is bc i like to know everything 🤣 i need to combine two adansonii's here soon to. As much as i love seperate pots, it's not only space but it's time! Time to check moisture levels, make sure light requirements are met, checking for pests, moving them just to clean around them and so on. For someone like me with a bad back, bending 60 things to move everything to clean them bending 60 times to move things back is a lot of work! For someone like you who likes to shower the pants that also becomes a huge full day so why not combine and save some time 🤔 i am planning at this point to stick to buying pothos that i like, alocasia (i just love them) and calathea/maranta/player plants because i love seeing them move through the day! The only pothos i can think of off hand that i would like, beyond a golden or Hawaiian that's actually got variegation is the Manjula! As long as you're not acting like a store at Easter and combing plants for looks rather than similar care, you can really do a ton of anything you want, and if you change your mind you can always undo it later! Now i know where to put my Brasil cuttings, they can go in my pothos pot and be friends! 😊
Wow! Talk about perfect timing! I have spent so much time this past Winter watering all these tiny plants who are now ready to upsize. It’s going give me several ‘new’ large plants! I’m so excited to repot so many! Most are also going into planks and moss poles. 🎉
Jeff that is a Hoya lacunosa Super Silver and I just looked at mine and was trying to decide what to do with it. I recently combined a couple of my Peperomia and Snakeplants. Great tips! As always…. Thanks!
Hi Jeff! I'm in therocess of combining succulents in arrangements so I have one pot instead of a whole bunch of little ones. Saves space but also looks more interesting visually.
I'm conflicted about this topic! The purist in me wants each pot of plants to be it's own plant 😅 but I do agree with you that seeing a mixture of similar but different leaves is beautiful and a full pot is always better than a skimpy one 💚
Great combos. I put three different Rex begonias in one pot and they look great. Growing over the side of the pot so much it looks like a ‘head’ of begonia so now I need to separate them😂.
@@EverythingPlants I have two varieties of pothos - golden and one that’s solid green with a little bit of white. Those are in 3 pots and will combine into one. After seeing your neon and Brazil together I’m going to look for some small plants at the nursery and pot them together.
Hey Jeff, you know I'm a fan of your content. But...am I the only one who can't get their heads around multi planting?! Nope, can't do it 😂 Yours, however, look great 👍
A few months ago I planted a variety of pothos cuttings into one pot: cebu blue, n’joy, marble, golden and green. It’s not much to look at yet but I’m hoping they’ll grow big and look pretty. Jeff, would you tell me about the rectangular pot, please? I can’t locate one for the life of me. Thanks!
That's so weird, I was watching the final repotting, and I realized, wait, Global green, marble queen, and njoy? That's exactly the combination I have in my aquarium 😳 what are the odds? Great minds think alike I guess, it is a stunning combination, and I love all three plants a ton on their own too.
This is perfect timing for me! Lol … I was just thinking about combining climbing philodendrons to save space , but wasn’t sure how it would look. I agree with you , the contrasting colors look great together 👍🏻
I just combined some of my training pathos and philodendron together a few weeks ago; they look great….. I definitely recommend mixed plants/cuttings…..
I literally just did this over the weekend. I just got fed up of all the pots all over the place. I did a big basket of Hoya and a huge pot of philodendrons. I’m less stressed
I am sooo grateful for your videos, the content is awesome and letting us know mistakes you’ve made will hopefully prevent us that watch from doing them. I appreciate you so much You know what would be even better, is if you had a camera looking over your shoulder to do closeups on what you’re doing.
Is the root rake called that? Where is it from? I seen it in another one of your videos and I think it’s something I “need.” I am loving mixed pots, thank you for the video.
Brazil and Neon Pothos do absolutely look great together. Im going to do the same! Thanks for the inspo!
Anytime June!
right? gonna do the same-- great great idea
I’m thinking that all us Pothos/Philo collectors are going to have more interesting displays very soon now that we can see how they look together. Thank you
I wish we could share those projects here on YT for everyone to see
I agree with combining plants its saves space and looks great.
Yup!!! Thanks for watching, Susan

Those would look awesome together!
They look so pretty together. Have a great week Jeff. 🌱💚🌱
Thanks so much Karen and same to you!

Love this, going to do it today for my son, he loves plants as much as I do. I have way to many props right now.
That's awesome....have a wonderful day of repotting
I have a leggy bald Brazil that need some restructuring...you have given me a brilliant idea...thanks, Jeff!!! 🥰🤗😱🌺💃
Aren't you going to share this idea with the class??? 😂 Keep us posted with how your project goes!

I just did this as I have to downsize my plants. Happy Weekend!
It's a great solution to freeing up some space
Thank you Jeff.🌷💚🙃
Thanks Judy!
Great idea Jeff, you have inspired me
You are welcome Jennifer!

I think that plant is beautiful combined like that.

That's the rewarding part of caring for plants, and the satisfaction of knowing that you are providing what they need to flourish. Well done! 👍

Nice pot of pothos! Gonna combine some hoyas tomorrow, thx for the tip! 🐊

@@EverythingPlants 🤣😂🤣😂💚
Great idea! Especially the pothos and brasil…gorgeous. I’ve got some combining to do!! Thanx!
Get to work! Hahaha thanks for watching Sheri
Wow! Love it!
Thanks!!!
It's a bit chaotic and beautiful at the same time. Will definitely try for my new propagations.
It's a nice balance of both!
OMG what a beautiful plant
Thanks so much!

Great tips!
Yes.....thanks!
I’m going to do this! The contrast between them all looks great!

Great video!! I always love getting one of those planters for a gift!! Very nice!!
That is actually a great gift idea
Absolutely love doing this with neon pothos and philos and jade colored one. The contrast is so beautiful.
That is awesome and I agree 💯 about the color contrast!
Jeff u taught me to combine my neon & brasil some time ago - I absolutely love it!
Awesome! How's it doing and looking now?

Sorry your root experiment turned into a stem prop. Thanks for sharing Jeff.
Haha....I was so mad at myself after that. Now I can just laugh about it
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plants lovely collection beautiful
A pothos bouquet! 💚

If you have a Dollar Tree or 99 cent you can find them there
@@NaturallyNatural81 thanks for your suggestion. I got one there. It’s not the self watering kind. I’m looking for one like Jeff’s. Thanks!
This is the exact one I use

@@EverythingPlants Thanks very much. I’ll need several. I appreciate the information.
Sadly a large variegated elephant ear died back to a single stalk. This is a great idea to fill out the big pot. ❤
Thanks so much!
I combined a monstera with a yucca în the șpring and now they are striving together both of them having lots of new leafs and babyes❤❤
💯in agreement
Have a great day

I am loving mixed pots, thank you for the video.
It's simply called a root rake on amazon. Here is the link to the Canadian Amazon....the rake should be listed there
Nice ideas!!
Glad you like them!
@@EverythingPlants I need to start doing this!
Can you plant a golden pothos and a snake plant in the same pot?
I probably wouldn't because the pothos will need more water than the snake plants. Always put in similar water requiring plants in the same pot
How would you water a snake plant and pothos combo?
What is that white pot with the water meter that you have your philodendron in? I need it!!!
Nvm I found it on Amazon for $20.
Can I combine a Syngonium, brandi philodendron, and monstera adansonii together? Thinking about putting them all in one pot on a pole.
As long as they all require the same type of soil and basic care then yes.....those should be good!
Så smart och i inspirerande ska absolut samplantera då jag behöver mera plats😊🙏
Have fun combining indoor plants!
How do you think this would work with Alocasias?
Not too sure but you could definitely give it a try
👍👍👍🪴
Thanks Khloe!
