The idea of making the 3/4 inch guides on the back is just a game changer wow thank you!!
Just get to the installation, man!
He talks so much lol
Instead of complaining about it like a little girl go watch another video..... I love how people think they need to give their opinions about everything. He's making making a video and explaining how to do it, who cares if he's talking to much
This was a super useful video, thanks for posting this.
Finally exactly what I was looking for.thanks for you're detailed instructions
Indeed, great video. Love the technique to show where and how to screw the metal track with the two dummy spacers on each end. That's where I was stuck. Now I am not, so thank you.
Man, great video content. pretty much all about vynil stair nose explained. Very clear. I am about to start my 17 steps stair and this video was all I needed. Thanks.
💥💥 Thanks for the video. 18:45 Just snapping the bullnose into that metal track is strong enough to hold that hanging over the riser as much as it does when someone puts weight on the edge.?? The stair nose isn’t snapped together to the rest of the floor pieces that were used to cap off the riser. It’s loose and basically floating free.
Love this video. Answered all my questions in one video. Thank you.
Great video and love the trick about the spacer template
Awesome video it's been extremely helpful
Awesome video👍
Do I have to install the white riser? Can't I just start with the stair that is already there?
Is there a video showing how to install on an open stair case? Currently have a wood open stair case with a bullnose, does it need to be removed?
Wish he would have actually shown how to cut/install the open side on the bottom step.
My overlapping is from floor and decor looks same no metal thing tho?
What do you cut the nose molding with to get a clean cut?
Same answer I've been searching for
Me too. Anyone find out yet?
Circular saw and follow up with jig saw to complete the cut
this is the kind of guy you regret asking a question
What color way is this particular planking/stair nose in the video?
He actually starts telling you what you came here for around 6:30.
FFS. Anyone watching this has already decided on vinyl - we're just looking for some tips on the stairs. I didn't ask for a lecture on how any of this is made. I looked into that before I bought LVP flooring.
The steel isn't snapping for me
How did you cut it/snap it?
@@atandroidtm I literally had to saw it enough to snap it
Is there one for doing stair nose with laminate flooring?
please help me, i am installing a lifeproof floor in choice oak, i have ordered the stair moulding you are installing but wont be here for a week, how far back do i leave the flooring from the front rise of the step to install this nose, i want to keep installing the floor.
We have choice oak as well, and getting close to finishing the stairs. How did it go with your project?
what is the product name for the plastic that you use to measure both sides of the stairs? Thanks
If the flooring has an attached underlayment do you remove it or glue it with the underlayment? It does not come off easily..
Take it off. If you don’t it will separate and the stairs will come off within a couple years if not sooner. I use a multi tool, it works super fast.
Hello do I need a stair nose , or can I use a reducer as a stair nose , thanks
This video was WAY too longwinded. The valuable information that this video offered only constituted 10% of the total video. 15 minutes of editing would have reduced this video to 2 minutes and increased the overall value tremendously.
What's the thickness of the riser
Where I can get this stair nose
What adhesive do you recommend for the risers if you are using the vinyl planks with the underlayment?
Liquid nails
Question about the Zamma stair nosing: It appears that the once the nosing piece is installed, it overlaps the vinyl material on the tread (creating a lip) rather than meeting it flush? Am I viewing that correctly? The video does not show a close-up of the finished stair...nor have I been able to locate a cross section image online showing how the nosing piece meets the vinyl installed on the tread. Preferably I would want to have a completely flush/smooth vinyl stair tread when completed.
Pretty sure its flush
It's not flush. It has a lip that sits over top of the vinyl plank.
It is not flushed. I am cutting the over lap of the nose of my steps 1 3/8in (that are 10 3/8) in depth to make them flushed. which will be flushed at 9in. I then install an aluminum stair edge and it's good to go
Before you buy, be aware that the stair nosing overlaps the vinyl plank. The video and all pictures of the product are deceiving, they do not do a good job showing this detail accurately. On pictures is shown as a flush install with the stair vinyl plank. Purchase all the material and found out the hard way.
👍👍👍👍
I think Vinyl, Laminate, and hardwood are all dangerous on stairs. I know carpets are dirty. I think using a easily replaceable carpet runner may be the best way to go. You only have to fall down from a slippery stairs once to realize carpet is the safest option. Since permanent carpet is too hard to replace therefore I recommend a runner option.
great idea, however... My stairs are 36" wide, meaning I would need the store bought piece to be 96" long for 3 stairs. At my homedepot here in Canada each piece is $50 and the length is only 94". 2 stairs nosed with a 34" waste piece. This makes it cost prohibitive. Why are they manufactured in 94" lengths? Makes no sense.
24" waste piece. Not 34". Brain fart.
And 108" long.

Track vs. tract. Look it up.
