I was focused on the great battle between Rome and the Songhai, they seemed equally matched until Rome started advancing. Then Songhai took some land back, I looked at the huge empire of Rome that I knew of and it was all gone! Swallowed up by Atilla!
1) I love how Rome built his empire by sudden surprise invasion on Mongol horde, and then got it destroyed by equally sudden invasion of Hunnic horde 2) Inca - stubborn survivors who despite losing their capital by turn 80 managed to survive in their last fortress by turn 230... and then at the very last moments moved to Corinth and then survived even longer: until turn 280 3) Even better in case of America: lost their capital by turn 110, have only one city in the middle of the map, and then not only they survived but even - built one of few major empires (actually they had chance to win the game at one moment) - survived until turn 360 (250 turns after being reduced to OPM without capital) - New York actually never fell before that time 4) Great game by Poland, Spain, Iroquis and Songhai (who managed to win some wars despite being technologically behind their enemies lol)
@@Greggery It seems Rome sent all their troops to invade the South against Songhai and America. Attila used that chance to absolutely blitz Rome before Rome can even turn around. They also took it so fast too because Roman cities had almost no defense value.
Well they didn't do themselves any favours by cutting off Gao's troops from Rome and Attila, forcing Gao's forces to have no choice but to focus on America. It was right then that I knew if America couldn't conclusively hold the center island then all would be lost.
I always pick a random nation at the start and hope they win. I picked Attila and out of all the civs, his came out on top! There were several moments when I thought he was going to get overrun, but he made it!
One of the first empires was the polish one. They had great potential until 2 other greater empires forged on both sides which crippled their advance. Then my money was on the Huns. Romans controlled more than 1/3 of the map. Then the huns came and swiped out everyone like it was nothing. I expected at least some sort of defense somewhere but they just walked over everything.
For PvP, perhaps. For PvE, Civ 6 is LOADS better. At least now you can try to have something resembling diplomacy instead being automatically at war with everyone in the endgame.
MrTrellheim nope the only bad thing about civ 5 is the happiness system other than that I prefer everything better than 6, but it’s also an opinion so wether you agree with me or not it’s an opinion
@@MrTrellheim you should try the community patch balance, makes everything in civ5 better than civ6, including happiness, i got 2k hours on civ6 and now ive gone back to civ5 cuze its just so much better
The Huns effortlessly conquered Roman Empire and I didn't notice it until New York has fallen.
I was watching america trying to survive and then I noticed the borders were grey
That mini comeback America made!
I wasn't even paying attention to the top half of the map so it seemed like Rome would win...
"Wait.. is that? ATTILA WITH A STEEL CHAIR?!"
Congrats for Washington lasting as long as it did after losing its capital.
I was focused on the great battle between Rome and the Songhai, they seemed equally matched until Rome started advancing. Then Songhai took some land back, I looked at the huge empire of Rome that I knew of and it was all gone! Swallowed up by Atilla!
Towards the beginning I caught myself thinking "Attila never makes good enough use of his battering rams. Rome will swallow him up soon enough."
We are in 2020 now, and civ 5 again! This is wonderful game.
Caesar: Let's get down to business!
Washington: To defeat!
Askia: The Huns!
Attila: *Uno Reverse Card.*
03:41 No one expected that Hunnic plot twist
I thougt it was japan first
The best thing about your new videos is knowing you are all right!
Welcome back my friend,welcome back
How the hell did that happen?!? Can't believe how Rome was simply wiped out...
- Europe, 476 AD
2:59 Why does Poland always seem to end up in this position?
lol'd
Just a law of nature
So glad to see you posting again!
America dying was so painfull to watch considering they went from 1 city settled in the middle to owning a quarter of the map
I thought america is gonna domaniate like in the real world cause it has fertile land and quite good position
1) I love how Rome built his empire by sudden surprise invasion on Mongol horde, and then got it destroyed by equally sudden invasion of Hunnic horde
2) Inca - stubborn survivors who despite losing their capital by turn 80 managed to survive in their last fortress by turn 230... and then at the very last moments moved to Corinth and then survived even longer: until turn 280
3) Even better in case of America: lost their capital by turn 110, have only one city in the middle of the map, and then not only they survived but even

Huns at 3:41
oh, what a good day for Blitzkrieg!
Ikr I was like, what power is this?? Then I noticed Rome being a dumbass not defending any of his cities.
Aren't the white and red dudes japan?

I'm so happy to see a CIV V video!
wow that hold america made at new york paved the way for the huns GG
Imagine every turn having to greet about 5 other civs lmao.
I like how rome could only be defeadet when litelarry the entire world declared war on it
Attila even destroying in late game
Hell yeah back to Civ V!!!
I knew the hunt were gonna back stab the Roman so glad they won
I missed your content so much! Welcome back!
Why you stopped? This video are interesting AF for some reason. If you teach how to do them, I can continue what you have started.
civ 5 content
love seeing the inca just migrate around everywhere
Keep doing civ 5!
Damn Attila, calm down.
When you already knew the fate of Poland even without watching this video
So sad, I really want either America to win as the comeback king after losing their capital. Or Rome because Rome never seems to win.
Well Rome, in an ironic twist of fate, got too big and lost
Well they didn't do themselves any favours by cutting off Gao's troops from Rome and Attila, forcing Gao's forces to have no choice but to focus on America. It was right then that I knew if America couldn't conclusively hold the center island then all would be lost.
Look at Poland at 2:58 I dunno why but this seems so familiar xd
Polandball never left alone

Love the new content. Keep it coming!
The last thing Civ needs is battle royale.
Civ VI did get it, didn't it?
Lets play: spot the Egyptian warrior! It moves around the map a lot
Why does nobody prepare for the huns
Well that escalated quickly.

Songhai was going so strong. Ah well.
Did Attila really win? At the end there was still a wild malaysian unit between Cumae and Palenque.
С возвращением!
This is just, great
you're back!
Keep the civ 5 videos!! Much better than civ 6
Amen. Subscribed!
Civ 5 definitely had more content for the most time. Only with Gathering Storm I switched. Diplomatic Victory is a must have.
more of these civ5 pls
The spanish come back was legendary the lose of their capital even semed to made them stronger somehow. I was rooting for them!
Aye welcome back
An Indonasian unit still surviving :D
Who else but Attila!
Well that was awesome
