Depends on how much is in the yard but that is a good point you bring up! If it’s maybe 1-2 things I would just pick it up but anything “time consuming” is extra!
Words of wisdoms right there OG! From 20 to now going to 30 only cared about learning a trade and worked 50-80 hours an every single week! Now got some skill but wanna do the next 10 years with more balance especially with family and friends!!
Funny You mention the Fireworks debris removal. On one my customers HM there was some debris, so I charged an additional $5. Well they was expressing that it’s to much . And this customer was already starting to go on my Glitch list. In doing so I dropped them and informed them to look for another Company !
nope I wont pick it up unless they pay extra, I have a basic mowing and edging package, and a full property maintenance package. if they not paying for the FPM I wont even get off my mower to pick up garbage of any type. I just turn that paper cup in the yard into confetti and keep mowing.

When you take a day off, do you handle it the same as if it had rained that day? I.e. I know you usually mow a day or 2 before or after each rain but in the case of a holiday or something else, do you handle it the same? Hope you are feeling better. 😊
If it’s a couple of pieces I mulch it in. Big mess I leave and charge a show up fee. Last year had one that was totally trashed. Woman comes out and tells me I have to clean it up. I’m like no I’m not the trash man I’ll be leaving. Her husband calls me and says I need to do as his wife says. I’m like I’m not married to her and buddy she ain’t all that find a new Lawncare company. A year later and he’s still trying to get me back.
I always sent a photo of the area to the guy I used. No surprises. If I should forget, he would ask for one. Saves a lot of heart for both of us. One can determine before arrival if It’s gonna be something you can do or need to charge more for or not interested.
It got record breaking 118 degrees on Friday. But we still got the work done. Made it a great day!!! Stay hydrated Johnny!!

Sc is in drought killing everything if the customer not watering or irrigation. Luckily we got rain today from hurricane
