The Traptrix remind me of Grand Fissure from Bleach in regards to their lore... Also, the pitcher plant was the inspiration for Victreebel from Pokémon! A few weeks ago, while in York, the guy in Travelling Man pointed us towards a little side shop called OG Games, wherein there was a notice saying "spend £30 on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and get a bonus card"! My theory for the traptrix monsters is they are like the sirens from Greek mythology the idea of them using something cute to lure in prey really falls in line with that
Judging by some of the artwork and some of the games, it seems like the Traptrix girls are indeed like an anglerfish's lure. Being modified appendages that serve to tricks unsuspecting prey to their demise.

I just realized that the Traptrix archetype did the whole “monster cards that support spell/trap cards” before monsters in rush duels did. There are several monsters in Rush duels that act as support for specific spell or trap cards. e.g. the Chemical Cure monsters for Red Medicine and Blue Medicine, and Sparkhearts Girl for Sparks and for Rush duel trap card Curtain of Sparks.
I do hope he comes back to this archetype. While the creatures they are inspired by are pretty stressful to see, there's a lot more now to that archetype to dive into.

NIce video. I find nature-based archetypes way more appealing than mythology ones, especially in the way you break them down.
This arc type is still missing a “Waterwheel” and “Bladderwort” planet monsters as they are both carnivorous plants.
My friend who got me to play traptrix is a botanist so I actually knew most of this prior....still cute tho
I envy ya mAh dude 😩
Thanks for bringing this series back to the channel.
Do you update your archive lore? The traptrix got a few new cards and I don't know if anyone else is intrested in it but, I love to learn about those cards from ya
You won me over with "ants in your plants". Thank you for making my weekend
WERE GONNA NEED AN UPDATED VERSION OF THIS AMAZING ARCHETYPE WITH THE NEW STRUCTURE DECK
Eagerly awaiting the update for this archetype 😬
14:26 I don't get it the card does have the traptrix kanji in it tho
Jailbait the archetype. I see the girls as the bait in Grand Fisher (bleach) which is an illusion to lure prey
SAME
Makes the most sense to be too
I do hope he comes back to this archetype. While the creatures they are inspired by are pretty stressful to see, there's a lot more now to that archetype to dive into.
"Look Daddy, scary carnivorous plants."
"You silly kid, those are new waifu trading cards."
I don't care if they will kill me, they are soooo cute!
Do you guys see this? This is how you make horrifying/disturbing content without jump scares. You just play it straight and show what is in graphic details.
As someone who knew already about what these monsters were about and that these plants and Insects do exist, this vid only makes me want to play them more.
I still love this archetype because it causes me to play differently then I normally do. Also it's fun to see their every opposition negated
We have pitcher plants at home once. We used to have a huge fly and mosquito problem so we had pitcher plants. They died though because there was no more prey to eat. Yes. We don't have anymore flies to bother us anymore. 😁
Flytraps would have been better in case another infestation happens
@@roninwarriorsfan pitcher plants are native here in the Philippines. I don't know if we could have been able to raise fly traps let alone get some. But, if I could I would love to have that weird pancake plant that flies get trapped on their sticky leaves. They're cute and weird
Plants creep me out. Even pretty flowers will make me jump if I brush against one. But the one thing that is worse to me is a shower head or any jet of water higher than me suddenly turning on idk why lol
The "IT'S A TRAP" archetype...
As a Traptrix main, I cannot wait for the Forest fo the Traptrix structure deck. I hope they get some good support
In response to learning about the new support, I can say with confidence that yes they are getting some good support
@@Caelus32 what did they get?
@@milesandrews6711 5 new monsters (3 main deck, 1 xyz and 1 link), a new hole series trap card and 2 spell cards (1 field spell and 1 normal spell)
@@Caelus32 what were the details on these
When are they coming out in tcg and ocg?
@@milesandrews6711 They will be release in December in the Forest of the Traptrix structure deck
The Traptrix girls are shown on their own when summoned in OCG Structures. So I'm leaning towards a symbiotic relationship or a Stand sort of deal.
Those three guys in the trap hole cards must have the worst luck falling into trap hole cards.
I actually use a hybrid of Traprix and Lunalight deck. I nickname it “Beautiful Beast Trix” or “Lunar Trix”.
Warm Lillie Cringe more like it.
Traplight
I call my pure Traptrix build "Traptrix Grove". It's based off a song by Clutch called "Cypress Grove" where the opening lyrics are "There are women, in Cypress Grove. And if they catch ya, you don't go home."
I want to tell you how good that dialogue was
That was my favourite monster.... Now it's in the Hole.
I enjoy the kinds of plants the plant ones are based on. Fun fact the pokemon vileploom (I cant spell) is based off the corpse flower also, if that wasnt already obvious
"Predator"-eating predator
It was a real missed opportunity that they didn't have the traptrix girls be... well, "girls". Cute traps, in other words
