Wait until they get their new small SUV out, their sales will explode if they can ramp production. Very tempted to get 1 for myself or the new Skoda. Tesla certainly messed up delaying the model 2.
When I see a kia going in the opposite direction, I take a second look, because Oh! that was a kia, interesting. They sure do have some head turning design cues.
hi Sam, I have been looking at electric vehicle discussion on You Tube both positive and negative and a couple of things really stand out, the first is how many negative views there are it is almost overwhelming which leads to a very obvious conclusion that there is a lot of fear about the future of ICE cars and or oil companies and vehicle manufacturers are influencing these sites, secondly no one seems to be discussing the positive health benefits that cleaner air will bring to all of us including the Nay Sayers
Really? 😅 .. if you are in the UK you struggle to average over 50 mph on a journey so that's what 10 hours driving without stopping? You are kidding right?
Google how many country’s actually fit inside Australia you might be surprised . Everyone says it worked for everyone else it will work with us .. simply not the case
Kia EVs are superb, first Soul in 2014 was a phantastic car, unfortunately heavy degradation, but the car was so nice to drive, 2nd version did not have this high degradation, 3rd generation (new sould with 64kWh battery) is a pretty perfect EV, and newer models like Niro, EV6 are among best EVs ever created.
We have had 2 x Kias - both petrol , have had no problems whatsoever ..would NOT buy an EV ever....NZ EV sales have tanked since the Govt removed the EV bribe of the previous govt rebate. Under 5% vehicle sales are EV and not growing. NZ business runs on diesel trucks and Utes. My wife loves her Kia Seltos 1600 DSG
@@harrygroundwater2590don't count in it. NZ was driven into the ground under the previous Socialist Government. Not many people have 50k plus to spend on a car.
that is pessimistic, even here in Whangarei evs are quite popular, including the ones that have just been released like the EV9. Obviously if you no longer get an over $7k rebate sales will plummet. However, importers have dropped prices here, and I predict in 12 months we will see a much larger variety than now, and also more price competative, it is already starting, watch this space!
If a car company manufactures EVs in the US that is great for Americans but means nothing to the other 99.5% of countries and 90% of people in the world because they will never be exported from the USA to the world since they are just too expensive. The fact is that the US and their products matter less and less to the world since nobody outside of America can afford them and they are made much more cheaply elsewhere.
I agree with you completely. Fortunately, the U.S. is gigantic & it’s economy is even bigger. Stubborn American-loyalty just may be the thing that accelerates the American adoption of BEVs, rather than slow it down with cheap Chinese EVs & massive tarrifs.
Yes but you’re only talking small numbers of actual sales. If you sell one car on Monday and another two on Tuesday. That’s a 100% increase in sales on Tuesday. Just quoting percentages can be very misleading.
How much did Kia pay you to stop bashing poor sales of Hyundai in your last video to this glowing promotion of KIa? Go corrupt and you will lose your audience really fast.
Still small actual numbers, but at least they are heading in the right direction. Both Kia and their numbers.
Not so much KIA Reports April 2024 global sales of 261,022 units, up 0.6%
I had an EV6 loaner over the winter and hated taking it back to the dealer.

Kia EV3 Global launch coming this week, should be interesting.
My two kia vans are amazingly excellent vehicles.
If I buy electric I will trust Kia.
Doesn't the 3,000 Niro number include the hybrid and plug-in hybrid?

No problems. The 2 will be available in August, according to Musk😅😅😅😅

The whole point is cleaning up air pollution for all of us.
Good point no one mentions that
But I drive 500 miles between pee breaks on a weekly basis and therefore electric cars will never ever be suitable for anyone.

4000 units? Not a lot for a country like the US that thrives on motor cars and trucks.
more than GM & Ford
The US also thrives on guns and dumb conspiracy theories, so not always the brightest bunch of people to make comparisons with.

I guess you have low standard.
@@rozonoemi9374 No, after almost 600.000km with different EVs i know pretty well what i am talking about.
Hyundai/Kia is making about 10% profit from their EV sales despite other EV makers, except Tesla, are struggling to make any money from their EVs.
Zeekr doesn't charge nearly as fast as the EV9 - looks like a great car but isn't in the same league in terms of charging technology.
What about 1,000km range for Zeeker?
