bro the amount of detail you go into here plus the comparisons visually make this soooooo useful, thank you so much man, i dont understand some of the terminology such as parallax distance and billboard quality so this really helped me visualise it, i also appreciate how you didnt just tell us to put everything to medium or low to try and max out fps, like its a pve game with coop, it makes no sense to get max fps unless youre doing some sweaty pvp world
great video, confirmed my own testing and cleared some doubts! just to add a bit to it Fog on makes flashlight illuminate more in certain cases but it depends on the person i sometimes find the fog in front of it annoying, other times it helps me see better, also using Shadow quality on ultra increased the distance of them, which looks good when on top of mountains, but i would prolly just turn it on for screenshots. since you wont see much diference in the dense forests

i run the game on minimal settings (everything on low/ultra low) except "texture resolution" which makes the building book unreadable on low :D i have a rtx 2060, i7-9700, 32gigs ram and limited it to 60 fps my gpu finds itself around 60-65°C on average, except in winter when its night time, then its 68°C with my fans going all the way to 80%+ :) my cpu is around 65°C throughout the entire time (i play like 4-5h without any issues) as someone who grew up with the playstation 1, i dont play any game looking for top tier graphics anyways :D (just to share this with you, im sure there can be done some optimization but hey, it runs at solid 60fps all the time :D)
I never noticed it was DX11, and that's crazy since DX12 has been around for 8 years now, I have no idea why games would still be on DX11. I hope they add it soon, though DX12 or Vulkan will most likely be added as experimental modes at first.
I have a very different pc from this guy and these settings legit work better than ultra low and my own optimizations. I don't know how but I went from 35 fps stable to 50 fps stable with higher quality I legit dont understand
kinda crazy we reached peak graphics when a mix between medium high and low settings are exactly the same as Ultra IF you are not so picky with microdetails.
The anti aliasing is broken but to make it work you need to turn it off, get back in the game then turn on smaa or fxaa to see the changes. It works for me this way and honestly it looks a lot more crisp.
Well... Tested this with my RTX 3070 Ti from Ultra to your settings and there actually a difference at about ~3 FPS. Means 59-60 up to 61-62 in my Base in the Woods with Water, Trees, Grass and MANY Animals around. So a "real" Performance increase is almost not existent for me from Ultra down to this Settings! But disable the Fog, lower the Cloud Quality and lower the Grass density makes the game look a bit "brighter" and allow to find Sticks and other stuff a bit easier in the Woods.
@@i3l4ckskillzz79 CPU Usage is at 70-80% max, some core are just 50%-70% but GPS usage is also just at 65-85% Definitely another Early Access shit of the game
@@fuba1 well that´s a clear sign of a cpu bottleneck. your cpu doesn´t have to be at 100% to be maxed out it varies from code to code and game to game. when you see your gpu is not 100% utilized it´s a cpu bottleneck.
Hi, for me antialiasing is working as intended. The difference between the different options in noticeable. I have a 1060 6gb with an r5 1600. If needed I can provide footage or something.

Whatever I do, the fps stay the same i have a rtx 2060 with r7 3750h I run it with 40-45 fps on both ultra and low, and it drops if I enabled dlss does anyone have any idea why ? The CPU run at 60% and the gpu 80% or 60% with dlss or 40% on low
With my 4080 I get pretty much the same FPS on Ultra vs these settings. My 9700k is getting a little long in the tooth now however so it's hitting 90% usage. I'll have to see how it runs when I get my 13900k.
Hey man, why i keep getting low gpu usage? Even if i lower the graphics, the usage goes down, its like this in almost every game.. My setup is 2070s and ryzen 5 3600.
My game has always had shimmering and flickering issue. Anybody else have this in this game? Every setting imaginable does not fix this. Even with the full release, nothing has changed to fix all the shimmering and flickering. FSR 3.0 with TAA off on Quality gives me the best image, but still have shimmering and flickering of foliage. I've heard of people even with 3080Ti have this issue also on other games. Forza Horizon 5 is really bad for me also.
This is the only game I've played that causes over heating issues on my PC, a 2021 i9 10850K water cooled, RTX 3080, 32gb ram. It runs between 76.7 to 94. All other games run between 60 and 71.

how do i make it so my ACER Nitro 5 laptop doesn't melt down, when i started i was staying between 70c-85c but after i was building for a while my cpu wants to be 87-95c and that scares me. lol
That’s normal for laptops man. They always run at high temps because the laptop itself can only have so much ventilation no matter what. You should get a laptop fan, keep the laptop elevated, and / or undervolting your CPU if you really want to lower temps. But other than that, I had an Acer Nitro 5 laptop that ran at 90 degrees plus for like 3-4 years and it still runs games just fine. No need to worry if you ask me man.
antialiasing works for me TAA - worst one it makes the image look greasy SMAA - best and genuinely makes the image look better FXAA - as per usual is pretty bad and makes the image gets all fuzzy

I got the 13900ks and a 4080 strix OC. This game runs over 100fps on ultra settings without upscaling. It's a great game all around so far.
