Great vid, folks. I think what happens often with businesses like these, is that they are passed down from the original owners, and the inheriting owners take it on almost out of loyalty, without the business knowledge OR desire to grow the biz. The owners don’t see the potential, their goal is simply to keep it alive, not thrive. Again, great video Joe Dan and Kelli.
Joe Dan said what I was thinking about the cleanliness of the Glencoe (KY) Laundry, as well as the older, smaller machines being maintained and operating.
I love your videos! These laundromat tour videos r pretty cool keep up the great work guys! My ultimate dream is to own a laundromat or a closed facility for wash and fold
I seem to think the mechanical timer equipment is getting obsolete due to Government mandates and those parts are probably harder and more expensive in getting repaired. The Wascomat W75 Double Loader (square doors) were manufactured between 1991-2000. Wascomat W74, W124 and W184 (circle doors) were manufactured between 1981-1990. at the little laundry center you first went to, The Wascomat 40LB loader are a Gen 6 (manufactured after 2001). Sometimes I seem to wonder if it is a democrat or republican controlled manner in how the laundry center owners want to operate. Hopefully the economy can get better for the owners to make their laundry centers better. Prices have been high under Biden's presidency like gas prices, utilities, etc.
Yes it is becoming obsolete. I would say the political atmosphere does not affect the laundry business. At least that's what I see. I do see gas prices, water prices, and all utilities going up, but not sure about the political climate.
Second load of my dirt, all out of order those old Wascomat washers lol I had a couple of those when I got my Laundromat. They didn’t stand there too long.
Vevay's 24-hour-laundry is an excellent opportunity for an investor and a distributor from Southern Indiana. Hopefully, someone will see the potential to better serve current customers, attract and retain new ones. #WDF #PUD
So far the laundromat you show look better than some of them here in Orlando Florida.
Sorry to hear that. Maybe you should consider getting in this business.

Agree, and if anyone would take this over the first thing that would need to be done is a complete retool.

That's one thing the fact that is clean. It is outdated, but everything is in operation.
