What a great journey you have had. I am glad that the SNT did not make it easy for you as it is in these times you really begin to understand the incredible things you are capable of. Resilience and perseverance, when it is easier to quit, makes these adventures truly memorable and proud worthy. Hope to see you guys on a UK trail very soon. Until then happy times with family and Bobo. ❤
Congratulations for completing your journey and thank you for taking us along. I can’t express how much I enjoyed your videos with the beautiful vistas and interesting villages you passed through, the Botha’s you stayed at and the historical sites you saw. I visited Scotland many years ago and loved it especially the Highlands. Thank you for taking me back to those memories. I look forward to seeing your next adventure. Love it especially when you hike in the UK. How about walking along the coast of Cornwall. There are many little villages to visit and eat in 😀 Whatever you choose I know it will be wonderful for you both. ❤
Tremendous challenge met! Thanks for taking the time to share your journey. Your videos transported me to your struggles, and how each obstacle was overcome! I know it must have been tough doing the video after those long days on the trail. Thank you! I enjoyed each video!
Lucinda and Cat!!!! Thank you for watching again. And thanks for commenting...it makes me happy. :) I hope your holiday went well too...I'm sure it did! Yea, its tough doing videos sometimes I got behind on editing but I love sharing so I did the work anyway .
Woop! Woop! So very well done to both of you. This was a great achievement, especially dealing with our great Scottish weather. We'll miss watching your journey, it was our nightly viewing. I"m sure Bobo is so happy you're back home though. We'll look out for your next visit to the UK. Och aye the noo! Dawn & Max xx
Thank youuu!!! We will be doing more hikes around the US until we can go back to my homeland at heart....the UK. 🥰. We are finally just got home today after picking up Bobo in North Dakota which is 20 hour drive one way. It took sooo longggg. I miss Scottish weather. It is hot 40C here. 🥵
Superb series and congratulations to you both for completing the SNT and taking us along. No doubt many lifetime memories made for u both. I look forward to watching your next adventure in the UK when u return. In the meantime best wishes.
Congratulations to you both and what a fantastic achievement. If only I was 30 years younger (at least). Your videos have been brilliant, informative and entertaining in equal measure. Now for the big rest and what is next after this?. Bobo will be so pleased to see you when you get home. And greetings from Ayrshire Scotland.
Congratulations - What an epic hike that was, really enjoyed the uploads. Enjoy a very well deserved rest and thank you for highlighting my beautiful country.😁👍
Paulll!!! Nice to meet you on trail. Im sure your hike was successful with no drama and you finished? We finally are home TODAY from picking up Bobo. It was 20 hour drive one way to pick him up in North Dakota. Woahhhh.
What an amazing journey you have both taken us on, and I am pleased to say I did not miss one of the video. You have made memories that no one can take away from you both, all of your life you will remember this hike to Scotland. It was a long journey, a real testing time, Many thanks again and hope to see you back in the U K sometime. Best Wishes to both. Andrew.
Fantastic achievement & congratulations to you both. Always remember you have to endure the rough days to fully appreciate the good ones. Those final couple of days looked particularly tough but the way you pull each other through is inspiring. Rest, recharge & on to the next adventure. Great video editing btw.
A huge big hearted congratulations to you both 🎉 what an experience, walking all those miles carrying your backpack, thank you for sharing it all with us , absolutely brilliant 👏. S.U.W across the south of Scotland you can do it . Look forward to watching wherever you decide to go. Good luck a best wishes to you both 🤗🏴
Fantastic Achievement Guys , not many people have completed the Scottish National Trail , especially the Cape Wrath part !! The toughest trail in Britain.. Well Done . Hope you enjoyed your time in Scotland. A shame you missed the bit from Inchnadamph to Kylestrome. , one of my favourite bits for scenery and highest waterfall. Maybe you should try the Skye Trail . Amazing Scenery.
Splendid just splendid Well done cant wait to see what you've up your sleeve for next time! Nice...my fat face made final cut again hahahahahah. Also YOU BOTH COMPLETED THE SNT or a version close enough. Massive respect!
I heard the cookoo in the opening part of the video. It's always a surprise in nature. I've really enjoyed following you every day. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure. See you next time!
Great job Kristina. I'm so pleased that you both achieved your goals. This is the toughest trail in the UK without a doubt and those last two or three days would not be for me. Thank-you so much for sharing your experience. Now; what next? Kumano Kodo in Japan? The Way of St. James in Spain? or....... The little old Britain?? Happy Trails, Pete P.S. Come back soon; we need the dollars. 🤭
As I said earlier in the series, this is a fantastic document of the SNT. You are right, not many do it because it is a big commitment and of course it’s not easy. Well done to both of you🎉
Great film and achievement, Ben and Christina. I walked from John O’Groats to Ullapool years ago, before the CWT had a name, and It was the best thing I ever did, lots of memories. You might be interested in a book, ‘Landlines’, by Raynor Winn, her account of walking the CRT with her husband, as he was suffering from a terminal degenerative disease. They started at the lighthouse and walked south, then did the WHW and continued all the way to Cornwall. Her husbands condition improved dramatically along the way.
Well done Christina and Ben, what an achievement! We’ve waited every day for your videos and although we’ve done many long distance walks we would never manage what you have done. Our favourite walk was Tour of the Lake District, 93 miles round the lakes-views are amazing. Enjoy your rest and start planning your next trip. Helen and Jeff from Rugby!
Congratulations on completing such an epic hike, your resilience is an inspiration, and I'll be thinking of your achievement when I'm struggling on the Pennine way at the end of the month 👍🏻
Thank you for taking your followers along with you on this beautiful trail. I’m So thankful to have seen such amazing places and especially all the stone walls and stone buildings. Thank you. CARPE DIEM
Truly inspiring your tenacity and will power to trek for miles in all weathers and terrain. Bravo👋🏼 hopefully see you on the penne way soon, making great memories for yourselves🤞🏻
Congratulations. A mamouth achievement for you both. We enjoyed all 36 videos. I can recommend the Southern Uplands Way (214 miles Scotland's coast to coast) which I did back packing with my wife and daughter in 1997.
Congratulations both of you! You persevered through the final bogs like champions. I'll miss watching your daily videos, I've really enjoyed every single one. Hope that you will give Wales a visit one day 😀 that's one happy Bobo at the end!
Hi Christina, Hi Ben, absolutely brilliant, many many congratulations, that is some epic achievement, all the very best for your future plans. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure, it’s been such fun to watch. Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴
Guys, i have been following you guys from the start of walk through our beautiful land.......enjoyed every bit of it and sad to see you guys go.......im sure there is lots of recommendations for trails and im sure you will be back. Having done many trails here I am looking to try some in the US so any advice would be amazing, look forward to your next UK trip and once again thank you for visiting Scotland and showing the world our amazing country and culture but most of all our great weather and them midges!!!!!🤣🤣😂 😉🤙
Aww thank you so much for following. Yes come hike in the US. What kind of views do you like? And how long? I havent done any trails in the westcoast. They have Grizzly bears there and Im npt keen. Hehe!! I've done the Appalachian Trail, trails around Arkansas and some Colorado Trail.
😅 OMG...I love that you "critique" yukky steep climbs like I do. I'll have to tell my sister there's others like me out there.😉. I love how you keep it real by filming the good as well as the not-so-good. 👍
I love long distance walks although I am more in the few weeks to a maximum of 2 months due to to work. I have a suggestion for you, instead of another long A-B walk (although I still recommend Pyrenees GR10) climbing all the wainrights in the Lake District might be a fun alternative. Different scenery and different bases. It is something that I have in mind in the next few years.
Ahh I was actually in Scotland while you are walking there ❤ brilliant Enjoying the music you put over very much. Today so good woo hoo I bet you will be back again 😂
Amazing experience, Christina, a long walk indeed. And some typically Scottish weather on the final day. So glad you got lucky with accommodation in Durness, a hot shower washes away a lot of the misery of boggy ground and helps polish the great memories of your adventure. There is so much in the world to discover, but I do hope you choose return again to God’s own wee country soon. Best regards.
Honestly I was worried he wasnt gonna make it too!!! After 1 week, I thought....oh noo, if we cant continue, what are we gonna do for the next 43 days in the UK? I didn't make any backup plan. Hehe
I just today heard of this trail & it was suggested I view your channel. Very informative. The Scottish National Trail reminds me of The Ireland Way. How did you reach the Start point and how did you return home from the End point? I'm very interested in the logistics of Coming & Going.
Hii!! Thanks for watching!! It was such an amazing adventure. You must do it! To get there, we flew from Dallas, Texas to Edinburgh. The next day, we took buses and train to Kirk Yetholm....it was sooo long and complicated. I used Google map to tell me which bus and train to take. Getting back to Edinburgh from Cape Wrath Lighthouse is even more complicated but I've done it before so I was already familiar. You either walk 13 miles or take Cape Wrath Minibus (if it's running or have space for you) to the Kyle of Durness. Take a ferry over the Kyle of Durness (if it's running....if not, you'll have to walk around the kyle on land to Durness. From Durness, take the 801 bus to Inverness. Then train to Edimburgh. Woahhhh
Yaaayy!! You both made it! Congratulations. Fair play to you, the thought of walking over that sort of terrain, especially after walking 500 miles, does not appeal to me 😄
Congratulations on An Amazing achievement. Ben's a Legend.( This is a f*****g miserable trail)hilarious. Sounds just like a yorkhireman.Come back soon, always welcome.
Scotland doesn’t mess around! The Cape Wrath should be called a overland journey instead of a trail. I don’t know how you knew where you were going. And looking out for red flags? I’d probably be dead or stuck for eternity in some bog. Way to go! Scotland isn’t for wusses! 🎉🎉🎉

Thanks Pete. I think im gonna learn how to play the bagpipe. 😃
@@hikersheep Prolonged exposure to the bagpipes gives you wobbly arms and legs.
