Waits for tourist visa interviews in Colombia are two years. Would rather go to Argentina where the wait is shorter.
We have the same problem. My wife is from the Philippines. When we started the visa process she was working on Hong Kong. But she moved back home and we notified the visa company that was working our application 9 months before it was sent to USCIS but they never change at our request. Now it in NVC
What if the beneficiary's has received the welcome NVC and able to start the process and pay fees. But enters the USA with a tourist visa. Can the beneficiary adjust the status to a USA consulate in the USA?
My origin is Bangladesh, My F2A case is waiting at NVC. If I go to study in Italy/Different country other than Bangladesh, Can I change my Dhaka-US-embassy to my different Embassy/Consulate in Italy/Different country?

I'm in this exact situation. I applied for a green card (spousal) while living in Mexico as a foreign resident. Literally days after being documentarily qualified, I left. I think I'm going to request an interview in Switzerland (I'm a citizen). Given that wait times at Ciudad Juarez seem to be gargantuan, I am hopeful that this change will expedite the process significantly.
How long does it take for embassies to coordinate the transfer of the case?

Hello, I just filed a petition for my husband and he is currently working in Dubai, On his interview location I did put the Dubai's Us Embassy or Consulate. Will that be a problem? Or I suppose to put his recidence location for his interview which is in The Philippines Us Embassy?

Hi! I am in the second situation. However, I contacted both embassies and they are not willing to send each other the requests after I have asked several time.
I am a South African citizen and I moved back to South Africa. My case was sent to China (where I was living). I also stated on my I-129F that I wanted the interview to be in South Africa

@@zainG403 You just need to email the embassies and they should communicate with each other to transfer the case. It eventually worked for me after several times of trying .. Good luck :)

@@zainG403 Yes, after about 2 weeks they sent it electronically and after a month it was there at the SA embassy. However I didn't go through with the whole process in the end because we are not in a relationship anymore. :( But it does work! Just keep emailing the embassies and it should be transferred in no time!

I am from The Gambia but the US embassy in Gambia was close and I apply to a nearby country which is Senegal I could not get slots then I file for emergency appointment and below is the reply I got from them
“Thank you for your request. Due to our very limited capacity we are only able to expedite appointments for students who reside in our consular district of Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. Please note that the U.S. Embassy in Banjul is open for student visa appointments.

What if I need to change the country. I am currently residing in Canada but would soon be traveling to India. I have filled out my DS 160 form but did not pay the visa fee yet. I am waiting since last year for the appointment dates in Canada Vancouver but there isn’t any available until June 2023. I see it is available in India Mumbai for a visitor visa. How do I go about it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
