No, because I always look at the ground or at other things around em when talking to people. It's hard to make eye contact with one of my friends and feels awkward. 😭 thanks for the tips!
Don't you hate it when you look at both eyes and get this quick silent "gasp" moment?... Like you gonna kiss me or something? That's what triggers my anxiety 😔
That's really weird...it happened the same...😑it's now really hard to have normal eye contact and conversation with the people....Your comment has passed 8 months I wan't to ask if the habit has changed or not.....''
Maybe. I get spooked when I meet someone's gaze spot on. Eye to eye, pupil to pupil, it feels weird in the moment. Sometimes awkward or too personal. It can be perceived as what I think could be intimidation or creeper vibes. But see! I'm just overthinking it. How do I know how the person is feeling? I don't. It's my own insecurities leaking out in real time. Traumas from the past never healed or properly addressed, even ignored. Were all human and the biggest barrier to our full self confidence in ourselves is our mind. The mind is the one telling me that eye contact is a issue. It's deeper then that when you really take the time to sit down with yourself and see what is going on. I still have my moments plenty on a day to day basis, but knowing what I know makes most of eye contact interactions just fine! Even the awkward ones, I laugh to myself knowing how silly it would be to let that interaction take control over me. If I hold eye contact too long: I simply look away as casually as I can while maintaining proper attention. If that attempt is botched I get red or nervous, or whatever happens and then laugh it off once the person is gone. On top of all this, most people don't give a shit about you or me. They forget about interactions by the next day and probably never cared in the first place. (Yes, but I thought I did causing myself misery because I thought they were judging me or something.)
I always feel like I’m making eye contact too long when I’m listening to someone talk. Even tried to follow that 5 second rule where you make eye contact for 5 seconds then look away but then it feels too short lol
3 tips Eye contact 1. focus one eye at time 2. break eye contact while you're talking and not while they're talking 3. do not break eye contact by looking down.

Bro I'm with you its freaking 4 of July rn and i haven't seen my fam in months,im struggling to make eye contact and have a normal conversation with them... I feel so awkward.... I guess it's true what they say "eyes are the window to one's soul" but like don't look into mine and i definitely don't wanna look at yours, if u guys get what im saying, there's boundaries💯 but then again its just my mind against me
@@rayy1016so for me it use to be very normal to look at people and speak to them, I had no issues but now eye contact literally became the worst thing ever and it’s not that I make my self uncomfortable rather I make others 😅
What if i break eye contact because i need to think about what theyre talking about? Watch their hands? I have to visualize a lot. I do a lot of intermittent eye contact but straight eye contact feels weird. Like theyre trying to catch me doing something wrong.
Man what should i do.. I just blush so hard i mean my heart starts beating fast and i really need to break the eye contact.. I'm talking abt crush especially
I literally can't make eye contact, I'm not a dumb rude moron I swear I just cannot look people I don't know in the eyes, if I know them then maybe a quick glance but it still doesn't last 😅

That's ok too, step by step is the hack to success. When I lead conversations I also find it easier to look into the distance while I collect my thoughts. Maybe you can practice to holding a little more eye contact when someone speaks to you and you are not leading the conversation. Even if you just practice holding eye contact for a few seconds it's a big improvement! -Stef
