Got the TKC70's on my 2001 Transalp 650. Have done 9000 km's on them in 4 months. Start to get heavy uneven wear on the front tire, due to pushing the tire too hard, which causes vibrations. Really grippy and great for riding off-road on an Adventure-Bike.
This was a four minute video? Lemmy knows how to keep our attention! Some really good information presented in this video, probably swayed me from buying the TKC80s. Keep it up ya'll!
Got these for my CB 500 f Honda to pretend Adventure bike riding. Been about a year riding them. Feel good on streets but haven't been able to try offroad or dirt roads so can't comment on that. I really like their agressive look and don't feel like they handle any worse than OEM tires honestly. Was told they would handle for shit on pavement and I would regret buying them...NOPE and nope. would buy them again!!
Hey, thanks a lot for your awesome videos and have been watching them all times ❤️❤️❤️... I have Honda GB350 with current configuration-Front Tyre :100\90r19-- Rear Tyre: 130/70r18.. Can you please recommend me a bit chunkier tyre and if I can go up twice like 150/70R17 for rear and keep the front 100/90r19 .. Thanks a lot in advance for your help ❤️❤️❤️ love from your sincere subscriber🙏
Y'all out of stock for my size, but I found it elsewhere. Yet to ride it. I live on a gravel road, and they are more interesting to ride round Vermont.
Doing a scrambler type bike , bought a 2005 883harley and want to cruise but also was to go on these side roads with some gravel.. I don’t go over 50 mph .. I’m hearing these wear fast n get a wobble till broke in.. but would these even be available in my size tire?
Hello... for a BMW R1200GSA from 2014... I used a Karoo but they are very noise in the front... between this TKC70 or Metzeler Tourance 80/20 ... witch make more Milles. Regards
I have Yamaha Mt 09 2017 and wanna get those fancy dual tyres but most of my driving is roads. But just fancying having that aggressive look to bike with Enduro look tyres. Plus I live in U.K. which is famous for its weather unpredictability. So need suggestions for best ones out there in terms of fitment, price point , weather and driving conditions. Thanx in advance REPLY
Your bike takes 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 tires, which are not common dual sport sizes. If you actually plan on taking the bike off-road, I would go with the Continental Twinduro TKC80 tires. I commute on mine every day and they do great off-road. Keep in mind you'll lose some of the aggressive sport bike qualities of your bike. The more responsible recommendation is really the Continental TKC 70s, which are a more street-oriented tire. Hope that helps! -TeamZilla Chris *www.revzilla.com/product/continental-twinduro-tkc80-dual-sport-tires *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/continental-tkc-70-tires
My 1290 Super Adventure R came with TKC-80 and with 800 miles of mostly highway the rear was showing more wear than I was liking so went to the TKC-70. Now with 6000+ the front is showing a bit of scalloping and the rear is flattening in the the center ( typical braking wear). They handle great on everything I thrown them into except high speed straight aways. The bike has no trouble hiting the 125 mph limiter quickly but around 120 the front starts to shimmy and at just over 105 with the big 45Ltr tourtech panniers. the shimming came in earlier with the TKC-80 tires. so with about 5K miles on the TKC-70s I am satisfied but will probably try a different tire next time just to see how they work out. Looking at the new Mita E-07.
hi ,., i have a honda cbf 250cc 2006. the size of the rear tyre is 130 70 17,. i can only get the size of for my bike 130 80 17. will this be ok for my bike or not ,. kind regards
@@jeroenvanbroekhoven7325 to be honest, they've had very little rainy riding - what I've done, they felt fine, but not enough to make a meaningful comment.
They're the same tire...one on the counter is the front and one standing up is the rear - FYI they also make the TKC 70 Rocks version now where the rear tire looks a lot closer to the front tread pattern...it doesn't have that solid strip down the middle which means it should hook up better in loose dirt but wear out a lot quicker
poor front tire wear, they scalloped at 5000 miles did not pass inspection. I have been religious about tire pressure as well. I would not recommend them for heavy adventure bikes.

Love my set. Fit me and my KTM 1190 adventure excellent
Hi, do you know if Continental fixed the TKC 70 motorcycle front tire wobbling issue?

How would the continental TKC 70 compare to the Dunlop trailMax Mission on a KTM 390 Adventure

Maybe just bolt up a custom set of 17/19 wire wheels? haha ua-cam.com/video/wYB-afoIAXo/v-deo.html
this is like a tourance tyre but with center thread.
Haven't run these. But just judging on appearance, I bet that front tread design starts scalloping after a few thousand miles and gets buzzy.

hi again ,. sorry i meant a 130 70 17 to a 140 70 17,. on my Honda cbf 250.
If you have the necessary clearance, they might fit. However, we can only recommend staying with stock size tires. -DrewZilla
hi ,., i have a honda cbf 250cc 2006. the size of the rear tyre is 130 70 17,. i can only get the size of for my bike 130 80 17. will this be ok for my bike or not ,. kind regards
The 130/80-17 might be too tall. If you have a lot of clearance around the stock tire, it might work for you in the 130/80-17. -DrewZilla
What do you think on their performance on wet pavement? I'm kinda 70%-30%offroad and looking for tires for this.
They do pretty well on wet pavement. -DrewZilla
I'm sorry to say that this tire is unstable in higher speeds and makes your front tire wobble... everything else perfect! I'm riding BMW r1200GSA 2017
kaj stenman at what speeds?
@@mrbixler1 front tire is not as good
I had them up at 130 kmh on highway quite happily. Ive no reason to believe faster would be a problem.
@@canadian695 Great to see they can hold up European speeds hehe. How are they holding up in rainy weather on the asphalt?
Thanks!

So, we talking about the tire on the counter or the one on the stand? Confusing presentation.

Talking north of 580-600 pounds ADV bikes?
