Please, for God sakes, buy and install a lift. With all the work you do a lift is essential. Maybe some company will send you one. Keep up the good work.
Pretty sure the tow shackle up front is standard. Just walked outside next door, neighbor has a 2017 GT350R (same color and all), sure enough red shackle up front. Long tubes I’d keep but the rest I’d go stock. The oil separator, CC plates and air filter are upgrades we’d all do.
Very nice Sam, 17 model i think is much nicer than the update 19 variant and returning it to stock i don't normally care for, but this vehicle stock, like you, i think Ford got it right. Top job. 😊
Great video, I have a stock 2017 Gt 350 and plan to keep it that way because ford did a great job. The only thing I changed out was lighter wheels ( p51 wheels)which knocked off 8 pounds per corner. That reduction in rotational weight really makes the car accelerate faster. The stock wheels were boat anchors ( wheel and tire weight 60 plus pounds for each corner). In my opinion, I would definitely put the whole stock exhaust back in. Also, I bought that blue airaid filter and did a unscientific test to see which flowed better and the stock air filter in my observation flowed more air, so I kept the stock paper filter.
Theyre devalued because its very common for the engine to fail. Especially when tracked. Lots of other channels i follow are dealing with these issues... Also. Leave the long tubes and run stock mufflers.
"They don't make sports cars like this anymore!" but the car debuted less than five years ago and is still being produced today. Not to mention it has all the electronic nannies and weigh over 3500lbs. A real "old style" sports car would be under 3000lbs with no ECS, TCS, or ABS. Doesn't mean this car isn't great, it's just not what you described it as.

Never, never buy a track car. It is beat. Sure, you could replace every bearing, bushing, gear and engine, but the body is still beat. Think about all the flexing that body has been through lap after lap. Don't do it. Buy one that somebody forgot to drive and save yourself a huge headache.
Keep the headers and mid-pipes, then find a way to put the original muffler back on. You've found ingenious ways of doing/fixing things in the past, so why not do it one more time!
Weld in some aftermarket cutouts and tie it in to the factory switch. You can get the rowdy exhaust when you want it and still keep the long tube setup for the extra power gains.

Only real difference is small weight saving, not anything you would be able to feel in everyday use
bmwman1981 the standard brakes are already overkill tho
Brembos look so much cooler!
I would never changed the front brakes back from ap to originals brembo, i’ve rather bought a set og ap’s to change the rears..😅
I like the brembos back. Color matches and it'll be a nice little price recoup. Unless he's going to compete, he'll be fine. And even then, I doubt it'd matter unless a pro driver was being the wheel.
I did the long tubes on the floor in my garage. Took me and a friend 14 hours. I would never do it again.
Sam, one of the reasons why I subbed was because you used to show the value of your salvaged cars. Please tell us how much you got it for and where it was sourced from. That's half the fun in watching your vids.
Sell the exhaust system to someone willing to give the stock system to you in the deal. . . .
Rich Rebuilds: I would race you,but the way my supercharging is right now...
Samcrac: He wasn't ready yet.
It also takes crowds out in 3.6 seconds

WOW what a funny joke. that’s not 3 years old at this point or anything. You’re very original! I bet that gets allllll the laughs at car meets
KinaferMusic it is funny
@@kinafermusic2456 calm down it's just a joke .
Samcrac: "i think you can't make a capable race car for 15k"
24 hours of lemons: "hold my beer"
50k he said, 50.
😂
$6k can have you battling with 911's , Corvettes , F360's ... any production car with 400 - 450hp weighing 3000lbs or more. Obviously you need to know what you're doing... with the build and the driving.
The GT350R and the GT500 are the *ONLY* 2 Mustangs i would ever own or drive. I love the GT350R with all my heart but the supercharged engine in the GT500 is also sweet, but that VOODOO V8 is just so cool!!!
It sounds like a V6 or 4-cylinders without cats
JAFF12NBA I know right I was going to say it in the comments 😂😂
JAFF12NBA this is so true it sounds HORRIBLE
It sounds like one of those light weigt race-cars, like a caterham
Who are you, and what have you done with Samcrac?
Edit: because he bought a clean title vehicle.
He spent time learning from Vtuned. He learned he doesnt know much about cars, and hes better off buying a good one..
Christian Buczko m
Samcrac: “the gt350 is 1 of 2 production cars to come with carbon fiber wheels. The other being the koennigsegg Hypercar.”
Me: isn’t the Ford GT available with carbon fiber wheels? (Yes) Doesn’t that make it 1 of 3?(yes again) hmmmm...
Marnix Siekmans and Porsche lol
and the new gt500
There are a bunch of cars that come with them. He is wrong.
No! I would not remove the performance headers, I highly doubt it it's going to affect how collectible it is 👌
It's a freaking mustang. They're everywhere. It won't really be collectible for another decade.
@@ThatWolfWithShades shhhhh don't tell him they are still in production
Please, for God sakes, buy and install a lift. With all the work you do a lift is essential. Maybe some company will send you one. Keep up the good work.
Pretty sure the tow shackle up front is standard. Just walked outside next door, neighbor has a 2017 GT350R (same color and all), sure enough red shackle up front. Long tubes I’d keep but the rest I’d go stock. The oil separator, CC plates and air filter are upgrades we’d all do.
18:47 Learn this: Never Ever a Mark-Up is Justified in a Car !!
Exactly what I was thinking.. marketing bullshit
That exhaust needs to go! It sounds like my daily (Accord). I would try it with the header's in place first to try and save the work.
Bit of an exaggeration.
it sounds like a 458. Both are flat plane V8s which by nature will sound more similar to 4 cylinder engines due to the firing pattern.
James Greco damn what kind of exhaust you got on your Accord?
Dude the tow hooks come In handy big time so leave it in the glove box or trunk. Saves your bumper when you need a tow
Very nice Sam, 17 model i think is much nicer than the update 19 variant and returning it to stock i don't normally care for, but this vehicle stock, like you, i think Ford got it right.
Top job. 😊
I WOULD'VE KEPT THAT 50K IN MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT
That's the difference between you and someone with $50k sitting around
smells like poor in here
Now Sam, don’t go crashing into any crowds. Okay?
If you wreck a GT350 R, it isn't the car lol.
Porter McSorley I like the Supra I have one same color too
Definitely change the exhaust back. Sound like a Subaru
I was thinking Subaru with equal length headers.
@@DonPablo2011 Unequal length to me.
One of two Mustangs I've ever actually REALLY wanted.
For $50k?! I feel like you should've waited until one of these ended up in a salvage yard. Only a matter of time with mustang drivers
Or any car driver's.............
Has nothing to do with being a mustang driver. It's just what you see in the media so often.

Theyre devalued because its very common for the engine to fail. Especially when tracked. Lots of other channels i follow are dealing with these issues...
Also. Leave the long tubes and run stock mufflers.
...he thinks he's going to have a high value collector car after it's been tracked lol...

Great Deal... Keep the Kooks exhaust on... Done.. Now drive this car 10,000 miles this year ...!!!!
Yep. That line was BS.
Wow, the Aftermarket Exhaust Sounds worse kinda like a 4 banger
It's sounded exactly like ferrari 458 (because basically it's a same n/a flat plane v8) funny thing is people rarely calls out 458 sounded like ricer 4 cylinder even though it is lol.
Ardi Januar that does not sound like a 458 at all 😂🤦♂️
Keep headers replaced the mufflers bk to stock
Last time I was this early Corona was still just a beer
Oooooof
Ok.
Keep the longtube headers but redo the rear muffler and mid-pipe so you could have the performance of the headers and convenience of the valves.
Smart to put it back to stock.
Those cars were perfect for the track when new!
Looks for someone with a stock exhaust on their car, and who wants this exhaust. Then you two basically swap. Central FL should have someone.
Get some exhaust cut outs and hook it up to the factory harness save the whole kooks setup and current headers
17:54 I cringed a little.... first... second... FOURTH... third...
That's the European way 😂
Almost like excess redline at second and goes directly to fourth and a drift puts it into third 😉
Exhaust sounds good better than any normal ford exhaust
Never, never buy a track car. It is beat. Sure, you could replace every bearing, bushing, gear and engine, but the body is still beat. Think about all the flexing that body has been through lap after lap. Don't do it. Buy one that somebody forgot to drive and save yourself a huge headache.
Nobody:samcrac i bought a clean title car
Us:YOU WHAT
Keep the headers and mid-pipes, then find a way to put the original muffler back on. You've found ingenious ways of doing/fixing things in the past, so why not do it one more time!
Great deal I wish I could find one for that price in Canada
Definitely back to factory sounds much better
Weld in some aftermarket cutouts and tie it in to the factory switch. You can get the rowdy exhaust when you want it and still keep the long tube setup for the extra power gains.
Wow i never thought id see the day when a mustang sounded like a ricer lmao, definitely ditch the kooks exhaust
What has this to do with ricer cars? A 4cylinder is just a 4cylinder in the end.
Sadly doesn't sound like a V8 anymore.
@@kaedeschulz5422 yeah but 4cylinders are typically the ones that get riced the most (and consequently the ones that sound like shit most often)
you must not have heard what an ecoboost with exhaust work sounds like
Leave most of the exhaust, swap the mufflers for stock and put the cutouts back on.
"this car competes with the Porsche GT3 RS" hahaha good one!!! I cant stop laughing!!
Yeaa he was definitely reaching with that one lmao... If he woulda said cayman gt4 im all with it... Even conventional gt3( 997.2) but rs??? Lol na
imagine restoring old cars to factory oem
oh yeah, that'll be a real treat to see!
That’s a bargain right there! Gotta put the stock exhaust back on. Oh well, good luck!
