Great video but what type and size router bit are you using?

real nice when the router hits a hardwood nail and jumps out of your hands

I’m switching over to using a router, I used to do it with a track saw a multi tool

Which do you prefer now that you used the track saw?

I love the router now, I still find myself using the track saw when the grill is to close to the wall but that being said the router does seem to make a tighter fit everytime

Also I use a template, most places that sell grills sell the temps

How do secure the template to the floor?

I found another video showing masking tape and hot glue for each board. Genius! I used it and made a perfect custom template in 30 minutes. Looks beautiful.

SShhhh... don't tell the HVAC guys that were shrinking their holes by making minor aesthetic adjustments... they start crying about air flow restriction, harder working heaters and ice covered condensers... I tell them to quit crying. Our product adds value to the real estate and will last 100's of years... theirs will be replaced every 20 years no matter what
