Jim kerr is a masterpiece,, a pure legend absolutely amazing guy,,, love love ❤️❤️this guy and this band. I have been to alot of there concerts down through the years.
Solstice Kiss is a masterpiece hit with the same tune as She’s a river along with most of the songs in the album Real Life! Thank you Simple Minds for giving us this amazing hit in the best album you’ve made in two decades 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Jim is correct. Songs can always bring you to a certain place that not other medium can. I listen to specific songs at times to conjure up a specific time in my life. Especially if the song is era specific.
@@aubindemontfalcon5967 Yes. Ironically I just switched back to my early High School days and a certain girl I knew wore musk perfume. Instant memory. The little devilish memory kind especially for a young teen male.
Talking about accents - and I am asking this as a foreigner: Do you think Jim Kerr has a Scottish accent? Compared to like Rod Stewart who grew up in England.
Have never seen a Jim Kerr interview until now but have always been a SM fan. Thank you Jim Kerr for your beautiful music/voice and uplifting sound🕊that helped my spirit soar.
I ADORE THE ALBUM!! I HAVE COLLECTED ALMOST ALL OFTHEM, AS FAR AS I KNOW. I CAME IN LATE TO THE PARTY; ALL THE YEARS I LIVED IN LOS ANGELES AND LAS VEGAS, OREGON, ETC... I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SIMPLE MINDS. IS SOMEONE CRAZY?! WE'VE ALL MISSED OUT! I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT I WOULD HAVE LOVED SIMPLE MINDS DURING MY EARLIER YEARS. PRAISE GOD THEY HAVE INTRODUCED THEMSELVES TO THE WORLD, ALL OVER AGAIN!! THANK YOU JIM KERR, AND SIMPLE MINDS!! MY LIFE IS BETTER BECAUSE OF YOU!!❤🤍♥🌹
Jim doesn’t smoke or drink or do drugs. I love his eternal optimism, drive and energy. He’s also very eloquent and quite a decent writer. Have to say that their revival since 2002’s Cry album has been extremely gratifying to watch and experience. Every album since then has been very good with the highlight for me being the Deluxe version of 2014’s Big Music. Please come back to North America and specifically San Francisco. 😁
Sparkle in the Rain is the best rock album of all time imo! I'm not gonna lie and say I don't miss the original line up, but you can always trust Messrs. Kerr and Burchill to get a great band together!
Direction>of>the>Heart is one of the Best Album 😘 The first time I was seeing that Simple Minds and Jim Kerr ... sorry I had heared you I was in my mother's belly. After I was born, and also today with my 37 years old, Simple Minds is staying my favorite music band 🥰🥰🥰
Awesome... !!!!! 😎 I was a huge fan in my teens.. then I went to LA to study music and some time later Jim Kerr came to my day job, Capitol Drugs... It was great.. ❤️🤟

I love listening to this guy talk almost as much as I love hearing him sing.
Yes, I agree...always thinking...Despite, at one point him saying he was shy etc...Always great presence!

I got to appreciate Jimm Kerr's exceptional vocals a bit later on.
Enjoyed your interview with Jim Kerr. He is one of my favorite lead singers!
Such a nice guy and he has the utmost respect for the mothers of his children. You don’t get this kind of man all the time

It's 33 years since Belfast Child. In another 33 years, Jim will be 96 years old. Staggering.

Bravissimo Grande Artista!

Great interview -- and you are a great interviewer.
I saw simple minds in the late 80’s at Wembley stadium. I still rate it as one of the best gigs I’ve been to.

Did you guys get a hard reset? I only see one video now.

Is he still going with Liz Jones.

Hello
Katie's clearly never listened to SM, apart from Don't You Forget About Me.
He’s kidding if he thinks he can re create what he did in his twenties. It’s a young man’s game, lockdown won’t help the output quality.
Oh, shut up about _The Breakfast Club_ already
