Excellent version by Simple Minds took me to the original MTV video of walls came down by the call in 1983, a great decade of music especially the first half. Look forward to seeing Simple Minds in Leeds & Hull in April.
Cud i miód na moje serce. Jim to im starszy tym lepszy. Kunszt i klasa sama w sobie.
Merci beaucoup 🤞
very good appearance, great ambience and so clear and distinct as well as decent. accoustik at its best. it would be nice if Simple Minds would go on tour with an orchestra
After all these years, Jim’s tremendous voice and Charlie’s play are still… alive and kicking. I was a fourthgrader, was in elementary school when this song was a hit. My first favourite band along with Sisters of Mercy - as strange and unfitting as you may find it 😂

Nicely done but there's always going to be a soft spot for Mel Gaynor on the drums... Plus Andy Gillespie on keys if you can't have Mike MacNeil. And Derek Forbes on bass if you can't have Ged Grimes. So essentially peak 80s Minds is best. And peak 2010s Minds is next best.
Mel is one of the most under rated drummers! … he is missed so much when you listen to newer live performances … his unique hi hat work, subtle little fills etc. … Cherise is talented, but a totally different feel to the music …
Fantastic.. 100% brilliant. A deep appreciation to Jim Kerr N SM for giving us 4 decades for damn good music. Cheers!
the soundtrack of my life
God, I'm so glad that even with the pass of the years, Jim still has such a great voice. I'm so proud of him!
It's not the voice, but the movements on stage. Jim is the ultimate frontman with a karaoke voice.
That was Fucking Brilliant xx

Just another of the amazing songwriter Michael Been. The Call was an amazing band.

Just pure class.
Jim Kerr, how does he keep his voice so brilliant after all this time.
You are joking aren't you? A terrible singer.
Irn bru
It's not his voice. Jim captivates the audience with his stage presence.
The most magical nights watching this band get big in Glasgow and then everywhere
Brilliant how lucky we were to grow up in the 80s ❤
Best time ever 🙏

Is that song a new one from SM ?
Outstanding performance 👏 so that's why I haven't heard from Tina Turner for a few years. She took up the drums 🥁
SUPER MINDS

Charlie Burchill sat with dignity whilst the pianist wore a cowboy hat and hot pants at the front of the stage.
Yeah it's 2022.

Brilliant..... even if the mix could be better still love it....love from Rome👍🇬🇧
Eternos
Some love to Michael Been and the Call!!!
Simple minds fait partie des 4 meilleurs Groupes des années 80 avec U2, Tears for Fears et the Cure
What about Texas.
Talk Talk?
Fun fact: Tears For Fears was at the same radio one day right before this performance!
fab fab
Can we just have Jim and Charlie on their own sometimes? I would love to hear how Charlie would arrange some of their songs for just one guitar.
Have a listen to this

Is that the beautiful Robin Clark on back up vocals ??
No, she is Sarah Brown.
@@cliftony77 thanks sounds so like her
Is the backing singer the same one from the Alive and Kicking video from 85?
That was Robin Clark, who famously sang on Bowie's Young Americans; this is Sarah Brown.

Absolutely agree with Mel Gaynor although his performance is quite difficult to level up
I think you mean Ged Grimes on bass if you can 't have Derek Forbes.
Mel is one of the most under rated drummers! … he is missed so much when you listen to newer live performances … his unique hi hat work, subtle little fills etc. … Cherise is talented, but a totally different feel to the music …
