i will work on that next time, I often set a camera up and walk away. Picking the best framing is always a tough choice. when i shot this I really wanted to see the mechanics of the chrysalis opening. Getting really good shots of the wings inflating will probably take a studio setup. Thanks for watching.
BAD NEWS EVERYONE! I live next door, and what you didn't see was when it was clearing my fence, a praying mantis reached up, grabbed, and devoured it!!!---------- naaaa just kidding. Very cool video!

I feel like that most mornings.. however my exit from the cocoon is much less dramatic, the results much less monarchy. Great capture!
