They really changed it from the original where it was more subtle about his betrayal (also how he grabs you is different, instead of grabbing your arm he grabs your collar and throws you, when he betrays you he shows more malice than the original where he's more sympathetic)

An O-9 like him should be overseeing multiple BCTs, or perhaps he's the commander of the Army's Special Operations Command. Regardless he wouldn't be mounting up with a squad of Rangers in the middle of a combat zone WITHOUT any kevlar.

I like how in the remastered they added that mini cutscenes showing why the mission started with Pvt. Allen on the floor recovering from an attack. Also appreciate how they made it more dramatic when Gen. Shepard picks you up and throws you down to battle.
Remastered pretty much explain of the gap left from the OG like "How Allen laying on the ground while still in minor concussion in the beginning of the mission". The Remastered kinda answer this. But i knew back in the day, it had to be something happens prior to his laying in the ground

The first part of this mission is so insanely based off of Generation Kill, when they're stuck just right outside of Nasiriyah and are in a shootout with insurgents on the other side of the river. I'm surprised noone's ever mentioned this.
This mission is actually more based on Fajiuah than anything else despite the setting being Afghan the fact the Insurgents and the 'Local Army' itself are speaking Arabic and the Arabic writings on the wall as well kinda paint the idea that this mission was initially meant to be set in Iraq.
Fun facts: Although this mission is supposedly set in Afghanistan it’s clearly imitating the post US Invasion of Iraq in which insurgents took control of major Sunni Arab towns around 2004 to 2007, this profoundly reflects the battle of Fallujah especially with the river as Fallujah lies near the Euphrates. Also the militia are speaking Arabic and the towns writing is Arabic which is not spoken in Afghanistan

Why DICE doesn't remaster some of their amazing Battlefield games is beyond me. BF1942, BFBC2, BF3/4 are all great games that could be remastered.
