I don’t understand how the Russians were just trapped in there when they can very simply get out by just unlocking things manually. I know they’re not in a Stryker, but surely the Russians have manual overrides as well.
Considering its semi-weird positioning, it's possible some debris hit it when the EMP went off and damaged any manual release, meaning they were trapped.
The thing that fucks with me about this part of the MW2 storyline is the 75th Ranger Reg is hands down culturally one of the most extreme components of JSOC Like everyone in SOF wants their fair share of blood and bodies, but the rangers have shown the most aggressive growth and evolution since their LRRP roots in Vietnam If the former ranger batt dudes on all of the podcasts are anything to go off of, they could almost be considered a younger brother to the direct action element of Delta and are supergrunts And to think that these guys, that full tilt sprint fields while magdumping and shit are dropping like flies Like they are both being butchered as well as probably sacrificing themselves like in the AAA portion I would not be surprised if the 75th in this time-line were pretty much wiped out and that's a fucking terrifying thing to think

War in Ukraine has shown us that wars wouldn’t be on such massive scales using air and heavy armored vehicles. Both sides will likely call on mortars and artillery strikes with ground forces moving in squads battling for each building. Not running around freely but shooting tons of ammunition just to make a suppressing fire on enemy positions. Not to mention that skies would be swarming with drones with bare ability to identify friends from foe. It wouldn’t have been as theatrical as we expect seeing it in the movies… but my God how deadly and full of horrors still… take drones for instance, such brilliant idea, yet nasty and dangerously rat like modern wars now. I don’t. Know what’s worst. Having wars like here in MW2, or moving between the blocks with constant fear of FPV, shelling or enemy positions firing endlessly.
I will admit this one of the best mission i ever played. Although i got one ? Can Russia do this invasion? Ik we got allies, weapons and soldiers but ik we shouldn't underestimate our enemies right? So what resources or something that help russia make this invasion happen in real life?
It would be impossible with their current capabilities. First they have to cross the Atlantic Ocean unseen with massive amount of ships in equipment (and they dont really have a large navy). Second they would have fight through the US Navy and it's airpower. Since Russia doesn't really have any Aircraft carriers it does not stand a chance. Now if they invade from the pacific they will have the support of the Chinese Navy. They stand a better chance but the Chinese navy is not exactly a "blue" water navy. It's not battle tested and hasn't operated a modern navy in modern combat. The US navy and it's allies would totally annihilate China and Russia away from China's shores where it has its hypersonic anti ship missiles to counter the US Navy and its allies.
I want to add the Russian Navy is taking some serious losses again a nation that sports no navy in the Black sea. So it just adds to their inability to invade the US via sea or air.

Even if an EMP were to go off it would only affect a certain area it targeted. The issue of logistics would still be a problem. Transporting men and equipment across the Atlantic to invade DC would still be a huge undertaking and unlikely to go undetected. Same as if they were to go through the pacific. The US military would have the same issues if they were to invade Russia from the pacific. Amphibious landings are just to costly. An invasion on mainland US soil is basically fantasy. The USA is surrounded by two oceans and has the most powerful navy and airforces (naval aviation and airforce) that act as wall and shield on both coast.

Suggestion for this level after the EMP event: grab an ACOG sight asap. Holo and red-dot sights are dead after the EMP event.
I also forgot, iron sights are also advisable to use.

It wouldn’t have been as theatrical as we expect seeing it in the movies… but my God how deadly and full of horrors still… take drones for instance, such brilliant idea, yet nasty and dangerously rat like modern wars now. I don’t. Know what’s worst. Having wars like here in MW2, or moving between the blocks with constant fear of FPV, shelling or enemy positions firing endlessly.

Can Russia do this invasion? Ik we got allies, weapons and soldiers but ik we shouldn't underestimate our enemies right?
So what resources or something that help russia make this invasion happen in real life?
It would be impossible with their current capabilities. First they have to cross the Atlantic Ocean unseen with massive amount of ships in equipment (and they dont really have a large navy). Second they would have fight through the US Navy and it's airpower. Since Russia doesn't really have any Aircraft carriers it does not stand a chance. Now if they invade from the pacific they will have the support of the Chinese Navy. They stand a better chance but the Chinese navy is not exactly a "blue" water navy. It's not battle tested and hasn't operated a modern navy in modern combat. The US navy and it's allies would totally annihilate China and Russia away from China's shores where it has its hypersonic anti ship missiles to counter the US Navy and its allies.
I want to add the Russian Navy is taking some serious losses again a nation that sports no navy in the Black sea. So it just adds to their inability to invade the US via sea or air.

@@RoboZombie44 Still no. If an EMP missile is fired it will more than likely be detected, countered, and followed up by a retalitory strike pretty swifly. Even if an EMP were to go off it would only affect a certain area it targeted.
The issue of logistics would still be a problem. Transporting men and equipment across the Atlantic to invade DC would still be a huge undertaking and unlikely to go undetected. Same as if they were to go through the pacific. The US military would have the same issues if they were to invade Russia from the pacific. Amphibious landings are just to costly.
An invasion on mainland US soil is basically fantasy. The USA is surrounded by two oceans and has the most powerful navy and airforces (naval aviation and airforce) that act as wall and shield on both coast.
@@row7820 they could always come across the bearing strait but that entire stretch of coastline is heavily monitored and guarded by the US military but even if by some miracle they do land they would have to go through canada to get to the US and Not even Russia has the man power to take on two equally sized nations at the same time

this is modern warfare, not the shit we have now. Thing about the new games is that there is no feeling like the one captured here. There’s no clearing out washington DC with the boys, there’s no “warfare”
