hey stevo! I found out about Sum 41 in 2001 because of American Pie, but it was in 2002 when my brother got the Spider-Man soundtrack for his birthday that we started to actually listen to the band. This song has always been special because it was where our love for Sum 41 began and this video brought back amazing memories. I don't think you guys thought this song would be so special to a 7yo back in 2002, but it was and it's still a banger!! loving the videos, keep it going!

I was born and lived in The Bronx for the majority of my life, and while I’m more of a rock, punk, metal girl, hip hop and rap always had an influence on me as a kid and teen. I never realized the royalties part for using an NWA line - whoops, but the line really works! 😂😂😂
man I used to listen to this blasting out of my cd boombox, Spider-Man was my favourite movie when it came out, I was 5 years old and this song was maybe my favourite on the soundtrack (my 5 year old self really liked Hero by Chad Kroeger too, lol). then when i was in my teens I rediscovered Sum 41 on my own, and discovered they did that sick-ass "Rock" song I loved when I was little. such a massive nostalgia hit for me, this song. thank you for reviewing it!!
I loved this song as a kid. I was obsessed with Spider-Man back in '02 and I vividly remember this video. I hadn't heard it in decades until today. I guess it doesn't appear on streaming or even UA-cam so I never came across it again.
This isn't just my favorite SUM 41 song... it's one of my all-time favorite tracks from back in the day. Listening to it now, along with the background and commentary on some of the lyrics, has elevated it to an even more personal favorite for me. This was amazing, thank you, Stevo32!

I do prefer the half hour of power version though. Sorry Rick Ruben... That being said I love getting the inside info on this old stuff, great video!
I am over 30 and listened to Half Hour of Power and was stoked for All Killer, and at 13 it was my fave album and I still listen to it and a few others. I remember watching Spider-Man and that song came on and I'm like i know this! And i was singing along but you guys changed some lyrics and added a verse. I loved sum 41 in the early 2000's. I loved playing those metal riffs like grab the devil by the horns and ride the chariot to the devil it actually was kinda my gateway to hardcore. Any way thanks for making these videos, it's cool to walk down memory lane with someone who was there.
I got to see Sum last night in Pittsburgh. The show was absolutely insane. it would’ve been so cool for you to be on this tour but the channel is great and I enjoy all the cool stories!

The video may not have “gotten there” for you, but it got there for myself and the crew in 2002. We rapped along, music blasting, MUCH to our parents chagrin 😂😂😂 Thank you for unlocking a core memory.🙏🏻 ❤
Video suggestion: How did your nicknames come about? Steveo32? Bizzy D? I think we all know about Cone. But when did you start using the nicknames? When did Deryck stop using his and why? Thanks for all the videos dude, this is amazing for us Sum 41 fans.
Cool video, Stevo 32. I love the Spider-Man movies of the 2000’s. What We’re All About is one of my favorite Sum 41 songs. Rap Rock is one of the fusion genres I enjoy listening to. I wouldn’t be listening to Hip-Hop, if it wasn’t for it. Beastie Boys are legends. I hope you are having a great day. Thank you for sharing more stories. God bless you.
Oh hell yeah I have been wait so long for a video about this song. I know forsure I was one who asked about this song and when you will do a video this makes me happy.
Sum41 was such a foundational band for me, and completely got me to listen to the metal and hip hop that influenced you. I feel I grew up much more well rounded musically as a result of that!!
Teenage me was so excited at the time when my favourite band released this. I went back to watching the Cutting Room Floor takes on AKNF extras, to see if I find the differences between this and HHoP. Thanks, Stevo

It’s one of my favorites from Does this look infected- my personal favorite album. I love your singing. Got a rad voice and the metal inspired bridge is dope.

I know it may be a touchy subject but. I’ve seen a lot about this farewell tour and the comments are flooded with the fact that we as fans all would want you included in it! I mean it’s the only proper way to say farewell. You had so much to do with the success of the band and it’s only right that you’re behind the kit.

My son is about to turn 16 and Sum is his FAVOURITE band. I'm a cable guy in Winnipeg and earlier this year I had a call at Dan's parents place. I don't know how we got on the subject of music or Sum, but when I told her how much of a fan my son is, she GAVE me a Sum scarf AND an old signed poster! It was a little crumply, but I framed it for him :) I'm guessing she was like a second mom to you guys? She showed me a few pics too, which was cool. Super nice lady! Anyway, we got tickets for their show this January and he's so pumped. He's hoping to get some merch before it's sold out. I hope we can afford it lol. Thanks for all the great music!

Thats cool! Thanks for checking out the channel dude! I took a long break, but it is fun to get back into drumming. All the best to you!
Oh, the nostalgia. Thanks for all the videos. Always enjoy them. 🤘🤘
Thanks for watching!
The video may not have “gotten there” for you, but it got there for myself and the crew in 2002. We rapped along, music blasting, MUCH to our parents chagrin 😂😂😂
Thank you for unlocking a core memory.🙏🏻 ❤
@@Doobiehero I'm happy you guys liked it! (Although, now at 43... I can totally get where your parents were coming from haha)
This channel is awesome been a huge Sum 41 Fan since 1999
Thanks for watching! That's great!
Dude, i remember coming home from school, and playing that song in loop the whole afternoon thinking i'm spiderman. Great times ❤
that's awesome 😂
'Spiderman will always be Adam West'
got me good! ahaha
Video suggestion:
How did your nicknames come about? Steveo32? Bizzy D? I think we all know about Cone. But when did you start using the nicknames? When did Deryck stop using his and why?
Thanks for all the videos dude, this is amazing for us Sum 41 fans.
I'm not sure they are worth a whole episode but maybe I can do a Q&A soon !
Love watching these man! Stoked to see all of the Sum history! You’ve got legendary rap bars 🤘🏼
Thanks man! Thanks for watching!
I have heard this song so many times and yet I just now learned of the music video and the tie to a Spider-Man movie. How did I miss those?!
I don't think it got a lot of play? I can't remember ! Anyway - happy that you got to see it now !
Fun song. another great vid. love the channel
Thanks man!
Adam West absolutely the best Spider-man ever!
Thank you very much for the video!
100% haha
class video and class song, great video as always stevo 🔥
also juicy jumbos should've got number 1 on the billboard charts
There's still time ... 😂
Always fun to have your histories and see you play!
What about a video about Litlle know it all, or the history the bitter end?
I will get to those eventually! Thanks!
Memory unlocked. This just brought me back. Wow!
That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
One of my favourite sum songs!!!
Thanks man! same to you!
Oh hell yeah I have been wait so long for a video about this song. I know forsure I was one who asked about this song and when you will do a video this makes me happy.
Ok cool! Hopefully it didn't disappoint!
@@stevo32drums oh it definitely didn't disappoint. This was one soundtrack I remember my dad having and was shocked seeing sum 41 on it.
I love how a grown man can giggle at the thought of hot dogs. Never change.
I can't myself... they are an inherently funny food haha
Sum41 was such a foundational band for me, and completely got me to listen to the metal and hip hop that influenced you. I feel I grew up much more well rounded musically as a result of that!!
That is awesome to hear! i will do metal and hip hop influences videos soon!
@@stevo32drums Awesome, I can't wait!!!
Teenage me was so excited at the time when my favourite band released this. I went back to watching the Cutting Room Floor takes on AKNF extras, to see if I find the differences between this and HHoP.
Thanks, Stevo
That's awesome - thanks for watching man!
I know this ain’t the request hour, Steve! I’m glad to see you play the tunes we listened to grow up. But can you melt our minds and play “32 Ways to Die”?!
I will get to that one for sure!
I love this song and honestly, you carried the whole thing!
Thanks! It was a collaborative thing!
Yes thank you, i needed this
Just watched a King of the Hill episode that you were in. Had no clue y’all were in it. 🤘🏻
You’re credited as Stevo 3200. What’s up with that?
@@popskustom7382 Do you remember the season? I will look it up!
@@stevo32drums season 8 episode 2.
HOW DID YOU GET ALL THOSE PEOPLE ON THE CEILING?!
No but seriously, still loving the videos. It's great watching you re-live these moments and lose your shit.
Hahaha... Yeah its fun to go through them again ... Some are better than others! But they are all pretty funny ... Thanks for watching!
Hey Stevo!! I think you should play Motivation or The Hell Song in the next videos, they're great songs with hilarious videos. Keep going with UA-cam, we love you man!!!
Hell Song => ua-cam.com/video/4Kh2yxZrQk8/v-deo.html ... I will get to motivation as well soon!
Another banging video, Steve! Spiderman was the first DVD I ever owned!
Nice!
Thanks for watching!
Hey Stevo - amazing vid as always! I think I got in a little too late on the commenting in the last vid, but still had the same question. Did Dave ruin a real PRS when he solo’d in the pool for the In Too Deep video?!
Was it a PRS in the water or a Les Paul... I don't remember but my thinking is that it took one for the team 😂
@@stevo32drumsthank you man!
Most of us have trophies and awards to remind us of our youth. Man you’ve got music videos to look back on. It’s cool to see how you remember and reminisce on those moments in time.
Thanks man! It's fun to look back... It's been 20 years for some of this stuff. Thanks for watching!
sticking with the superhero movie soundtracks, would love to hear about "Noots" and how it ended up on the Fantastic Four soundtrack
I didn't even know that was a thing! I'll check it out!
I forgot that I knew this song... Like knew knew. Like I was singing along. I was whistling along to Kerry King's solo. Ha! Soundtracks were the best. Pre made mixtapes.
I should do a video on some of my favourite movie soundtracks !
@@stevo32drums Varsity Blues. Godzilla. MI 2. Dumb and Dumber. Batman 2. Any Tarantino. Garden State. Fuck. You the man, dog. Keep the fun coming.
I love the channel. Just saw them weeks ago in Idaho. Great show. I do hope you get to make a final appearance, just seems right.
Can you do a video on “Thanks for Nothing”? It’s one of my favorites from Does this look infected- my personal favorite album. I love your singing. Got a rad voice and the metal inspired bridge is dope.
I will do Thanks for nothing at some point! Eventually I plan on doing the entire DTLI record 🤘
hold a special place in my teenage memory watching this video. cheers for doing it!! We all wanted to know whether or not Kerry King was a diva or not tho!!
He was cool!
@@stevo32drums You the best Steve. UK loves ya buddy.
I'm loving the clip! haha Great vid, cheers man!
Thank you!
would have loved to see this video with all the guys from sum! hahaha
Killer tune. My favorite rap groups were Sum 41 and Anthrax!
Good company! Dave loves Anthrax
Always loved that video! All my friends were the extras lol the guy who jumps up and grabs the mic is my buddy Jake lol Glad you're making these ! Thanx Stevo
haha! Nice! Thanks for watching
Can you make a tutorial of how to play the drum part of Crash off screaming bloody murder?
Loving this videos Stevo! Keep them up!
Thank you! I will!
I love you Steveo!! Thank you for that.. this is one of my all time favorite channels
Thanks for watching!
cracks me up when he laughs so hard in the middle of the video and then suddenly stops and says "let's get back"AHAHAHAHHAHAHA how about that hairstyle tho, huh, Stevo?
Hairstyle... You mean what's left of it! 😂 I was dying watching that haha
Steve, this is a banger. I need to see you do a vocal take of this!!!
I know it may be a touchy subject but. I’ve seen a lot about this farewell tour and the comments are flooded with the fact that we as fans all would want you included in it! I mean it’s the only proper way to say farewell. You had so much to do with the success of the band and it’s only right that you’re behind the kit.
I remember buying the spiderman soundtrack just for this. I don't have any sum 41 CDs anymore. not sure what happened. The music is always available but I'd like to track the DVDs down again. Good stuff
Hey that's cool! Yeah Dan's parent's were always hanging out when we came to Winnipeg! Great people!
yessssss ive asked for this on every video youve released. Thanks man!!! I hope it was my comments that got you to finally do it haha
Most likely! Thanks man! What now?? 😂
@stevo32drums as someone going through some life transitions, may I ask for the story behind pieces and it's video? Of course only if it's not too personal to you or any of the guys
