I forgot that I knew this song... Like knew knew. Like I was singing along. I was whistling along to Kerry King's solo. Ha! Soundtracks were the best. Pre made mixtapes.
My son is about to turn 16 and Sum is his FAVOURITE band. I'm a cable guy in Winnipeg and earlier this year I had a call at Dan's parents place. I don't know how we got on the subject of music or Sum, but when I told her how much of a fan my son is, she GAVE me a Sum scarf AND an old signed poster! It was a little crumply, but I framed it for him :) I'm guessing she was like a second mom to you guys? She showed me a few pics too, which was cool. Super nice lady! Anyway, we got tickets for their show this January and he's so pumped. He's hoping to get some merch before it's sold out. I hope we can afford it lol. Thanks for all the great music!
Its so great how you can look back at the goofiness of being young and be able to still laugh at it. Awesome information about how that song came about.
I love the channel. Just saw them weeks ago in Idaho. Great show. I do hope you get to make a final appearance, just seems right. Can you do a video on “Thanks for Nothing”? It’s one of my favorites from Does this look infected- my personal favorite album. I love your singing. Got a rad voice and the metal inspired bridge is dope.

StevO! sir! lord of drums! I want to say how amazing it is to see the man who inspired a punk ass kid from Tennessee back in 2003 to pick up sticks again!!!! I spent 100s of hours trying to be able to preform every single song you played lick for lick. Please sir let's see your god like skills again 🙏 🙌 let's see you play "we're all to blame" from Chuck ❤❤

I’ve always thought that you had an incredible voice Stevo. Always loved P4P, this song and the OG of What Were All About for exactly this reason. I’ve always wanted to hear more of it! The part where you guys flip over in this video was always hilarious to me because your pants were hiked up so high 🤓👖😂 I remember when you guys were in Treble Charger’s Hundred Million video, and if I recall correctly it was around the same time this video was released. It was a very exciting time watching Much Music for my teenage self seeing my favourite band featured so much on Much Music’s Countdown! 😄☺️ I tuned into that shit every week! Could you talk about that video? I know both you and Deryck were featured on Treble Chargers album Detox. I bought that album, and saw those guys on their tour way back when!
Omg and let’s of course not forget when you did vocals for the cover of Helix’s Rock You for the FUBAR album 🧬🎸🤘! So good!! You bet your ass I got that album too. That album for sure is like a crown jewel in my cd collection 👑 💿 😂🥰! All that Canadian goodness ❤🇨🇦!
I remember buying the spiderman soundtrack just for this. I don't have any sum 41 CDs anymore. not sure what happened. The music is always available but I'd like to track the DVDs down again. Good stuff
I love seeing mention of Paul's Boutique (and Adam West 😂), its my favourite Beastie Boys record since they took sampling to a whole new artform with it unlike any before or after. I stumbled upon an article detailing the rise of Sum 41 via performances, including a radio festival in Washington, D.C. at a stadium with 60,000 or 80,000 people as Eminem headlined while you played directly underneath: it sounds like a Sum 41 performance unlike any other not just due to the number of people, but also due to them being a crowd of diehard diverse music fans for Eminem of all music artists while he was exploding worldwide in pop culture. His shows and fans in the early 2000's were something else, to say the very least. I was wondering if you could shed light on that concert, if possible. Thanks!
I remember that concert ,,, it was insane .... Also - Paul's Boutique is prob my fav BB for all the crazy sampling! I will do a beastie boys video soon ! Very influential!
36 yr old Sum 41 fan from the beginning here, I need to catch up on your early videos but when you throw out the E Ca Hi deep cut I literally feel like you said it just for me. I’ve never stopped saying that phrase almost to the point of forgetting where I first heard it. But let’s hope that band moved onto their own headlining shows after opening for Sum 41 that fateful night.

I wouldn’t be listening to Hip-Hop, if it wasn’t for it. Beastie Boys are legends. I hope you are having a great day. Thank you for sharing more stories. God bless you.
Thanks man! same to you!
Just watched a King of the Hill episode that you were in. Had no clue y’all were in it. 🤘🏻
You’re credited as Stevo 3200. What’s up with that?
@@popskustom7382 Do you remember the season? I will look it up!
@@stevo32drums season 8 episode 2.
Oh hell yeah I have been wait so long for a video about this song. I know forsure I was one who asked about this song and when you will do a video this makes me happy.
Ok cool! Hopefully it didn't disappoint!
@@stevo32drums oh it definitely didn't disappoint. This was one soundtrack I remember my dad having and was shocked seeing sum 41 on it.
I have heard this song so many times and yet I just now learned of the music video and the tie to a Spider-Man movie. How did I miss those?!
I don't think it got a lot of play? I can't remember ! Anyway - happy that you got to see it now !
Video suggestion:
How did your nicknames come about? Steveo32? Bizzy D? I think we all know about Cone. But when did you start using the nicknames? When did Deryck stop using his and why?
Thanks for all the videos dude, this is amazing for us Sum 41 fans.
I'm not sure they are worth a whole episode but maybe I can do a Q&A soon !
hold a special place in my teenage memory watching this video. cheers for doing it!! We all wanted to know whether or not Kerry King was a diva or not tho!!
He was cool!
@@stevo32drums You the best Steve. UK loves ya buddy.
Always fun to have your histories and see you play!
What about a video about Litlle know it all, or the history the bitter end?
I will get to those eventually! Thanks!
HOW DID YOU GET ALL THOSE PEOPLE ON THE CEILING?!
No but seriously, still loving the videos. It's great watching you re-live these moments and lose your shit.
Hahaha... Yeah its fun to go through them again ... Some are better than others! But they are all pretty funny ... Thanks for watching!
Fun song. another great vid. love the channel
Thanks man!
I forgot that I knew this song... Like knew knew. Like I was singing along. I was whistling along to Kerry King's solo. Ha! Soundtracks were the best. Pre made mixtapes.
I should do a video on some of my favourite movie soundtracks !
@@stevo32drums Varsity Blues. Godzilla. MI 2. Dumb and Dumber. Batman 2. Any Tarantino. Garden State. Fuck. You the man, dog. Keep the fun coming.
Hey that's cool! Yeah Dan's parent's were always hanging out when we came to Winnipeg! Great people!
Its so great how you can look back at the goofiness of being young and be able to still laugh at it. Awesome information about how that song came about.
You can either laugh or cry about your past... I'd rather laugh 😂
@@stevo32drums I hear you on that !!!
Im glad you made this video. I was curious to hear if there were any stories from the few times you did this live.
Thanks for watching ... I will have to think about that ....
Steve, this is a banger. I need to see you do a vocal take of this!!!
Loving this videos Stevo! Keep them up!
Thank you! I will!
I will do Thanks for nothing at some point! Eventually I plan on doing the entire DTLI record 🤘
I never even heard this version til recently! I prefer the half hour of power one though, more guitar heavy. Great video dude!
I agree... the HHOP one is my fav too
Still one of my favourite songs
🤘🤘
Hey Stevo!! I think you should play Motivation or The Hell Song in the next videos, they're great songs with hilarious videos. Keep going with UA-cam, we love you man!!!
Hell Song => ua-cam.com/video/4Kh2yxZrQk8/v-deo.html ... I will get to motivation as well soon!
would have loved to see this video with all the guys from sum! hahaha
The pound of bacon line has never left me since hearing it at age 11. 22 years later... Rick Rubin must have been eating this up!
I know this ain’t the request hour, Steve! I’m glad to see you play the tunes we listened to grow up. But can you melt our minds and play “32 Ways to Die”?!
I will get to that one for sure!
Man, Juicy Jumbos are delectable, especially the all beef variety!
Damn straight
StevO! sir! lord of drums!
Hey man! That's awesome! I actually did We're All To Blame a couple months ago. You can check out the video here (performance @ 7:33) ua-cam.com/video/7vdqgKhHvOQ/v-deo.htmlsi=LEM8QeEsaH7Kktlq
I love you Steveo!! Thank you for that.. this is one of my all time favorite channels
Thanks for watching!
Been waiting for this episode! Please get this song back on Spotify!
P.S. it's actually my favourite Sum 41 music video, you're wrong Steveo32!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion! 😂 I don't know why it isn't on spotify ..
sticking with the superhero movie soundtracks, would love to hear about "Noots" and how it ended up on the Fantastic Four soundtrack
I didn't even know that was a thing! I'll check it out!
I’ve always thought that you had an incredible voice Stevo. Always loved P4P, this song and the OG of What Were All About for exactly this reason. I’ve always wanted to hear more of it!
The part where you guys flip over in this video was always hilarious to me because your pants were hiked up so high 🤓👖😂
I remember when you guys were in Treble Charger’s Hundred Million video, and if I recall correctly it was around the same time this video was released. It was a very exciting time watching Much Music for my teenage self seeing my favourite band featured so much on Much Music’s Countdown! 😄☺️
I tuned into that shit every week!
I almost forgot how collaborative Sum 41 used to be. That vibe definitely changed over the years.
Never had a song about hotdogs, but my old band did have a song called Hotdog 😂 now I’m craving hotdogs. Thanks, Stevo 😭
I've been craving juicy jumbos all week 🫣
This was legendary 🤜 🤛
36 yr old Sum 41 fan from the beginning here, I need to catch up on your early videos but when you throw out the E Ca Hi deep cut I literally feel like you said it just for me. I’ve never stopped saying that phrase almost to the point of forgetting where I first heard it. But let’s hope that band moved onto their own headlining shows after opening for Sum 41 that fateful night.
Awesome af StevO !!!! It's great to hear about your olden days. Pretty f'n funny. Keep it up.
Thanks man! Will do!
