I wish people wouldn't bother you for tutorials after you've stated that you won't make one. You are allowed to make things and show them off without a tutorial. I love to see what you've made, I love your tutorials, and I'll be happy with whatever you give us. ❤ That sweater is beautiful and looks very cozy.
Please keep showing projects you make, even if you never plan to do a tutorial. There are literally millions of patterns available online, video and print. If someone is upset that you aren't providing something they think you should, tough beans. Let them find something similiar elsewhere. Sure, an available tutorial is great if you find something you like. And even those of us who have been crocheting with written patterns for over 50 years find great value in actually seeing how certain stitches and techniques are done. But I know from my own collections of yarn and patterns that I have more projects to complete than predicted lifespan! And there is also great value in seeing finished designs. They provide inspiration, show examples of how something might look in a given yarn, illustrate color choices and combinations, etc. Also, examples of what DIDN'T work teach as well, and show that all of us make things that just don't turn out the way we envisioned--even Crystal! Please don't let a few selfish individuals dissuade you from adding this type of content to your channel. There are many of us who find it as valuable--if not more so--than another tutorial. Thank-you! ❤
I agree with everything you said. I feel like if I were sitting with another crocheter, this would be exactly the kind of conversation we would have. I enjoyed this so much.
These beautifully crafted garments, the very thing for keeping us cosy and toasty, heating so very expensive, so very much needed warmer garments x joyfully made, thank you ❤
I agree, I like that she's showing us stuff that didn't turn out exactly the way she wanted too! It makes it seem less of a disaster that the hat I made for my grandson is too small (he's only 2 months and growing so fast!). I can't decide whether to frog or just toss and start again.
Crystal. You say baggie I say " boyfriend sweater" It is beautiful sweater. As a fiber artist you are always going to be overly critical of what you make Im glad to see your crojo back to degree you are doing what we are meant to do. Play with yarn and patterns. We love your tutorials but I love you just having fun crocheting. So many other channels only talk about projects or yarn acquisitions. I love you just sharing with us you wips.
Crystal, I think you did an AWESOME job on your pull over. You do an AMAZING job on all that you do. I honestly don't know HOW you do all that you do. I ABSOLUTELY couldn't do all that you do. God Bless you're heart. Are you a perfectionist like me????? I'm a recovering------- anyway, I just love ya Crystal!!
It's a lot more fun when you get the auction boxes n especially when you get some pieces that are sooo... hooks over 100 yrs old. I'm in awe. That Susan Bates with the doodad on the end could be an afghan crochet hook. I'd love to see the pretty purple or red glitter yarn done up with an unusual hook. I've not seen someone who knows so much about hooks. The historical aspects are fascinating. Hook time today was absolutely priceless! Your reactions were just what we need during this particular holiday season. Many blessings of delightful wonders!😊
Crystal! I am so excited for your 'find' in the auction hooks! You know, you were bound to get what you wanted one day, because you cannot outgive God; and you give and give and give to the world! It was just bound to happen! Sowing and reaping is for real! I'm so happy for you. Your joy is a delight to watch. Bless your heart, girl! 💝
My comment is not specifically related to this video, but I need you to know, Krystal, how much I value you and your channel. I have learned so much from you and have enjoyed using your stitch tutorials to create an afghan and two scarves so far. You explain things so well and demonstrate them in ways that are easy to understand even for a beginner. I just want you to know I appreciate you and you have added greatly to my love of crocheting.
We actually got to watch Crystal have a dream come true on UA-cam! That's incredible!!! Crystal the sweater you made is beautiful. It looks like a flecked tweed yarn, and oversized is supposed to be in style in 2024. So, you did great!
I really didn't know that listening to someone talking about crochet hooks can be so enjoyable. 😊 Happy for you that you found a treasure, Chrystal. Keep on digging, you never know what's coming. Greetings from Germany
I’m so happy for you! Chrystal you got it! I’m such a dork I had to rewind to see the look on your face when you saw your etched hook 🥰 Have a great day everyone! I want to get all my projects done today because I plan on making my very first wearable by following a Chrystal tutorial.
Omg! I'm so pleased you got your hook. I cried so hard for you. Since I saw your video I've been checking out every auction I come across trying to find one for you. This is the best thing I've seen all year
Wow! Loving the pullover! Baggy isn't bad in the winter, you can use it to layer up in the cold! The yarn you paired it with was perfect if you ask me. The tweedy look is pretty cool. That Date Night yarn is sooo gorgeous!
I’m am so happy for you to finally find an etched Boye hook! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer person! Love the yarn and the sweater! Will be looking forward to the new one you plan to make. God Bless. Take care. Love you. 😇🙏♥️
Thanks for the hook info. I’m 81 and have been knitting and crocheting since childhood. I was a thread crocheter till recent years. After your hook post, I started looking at my hooks and found my favorite two hooks were a Hero I and a J Gem. I also have many “Boye” hooks. Haven’t checked my whole stash yet but I’m happy. 😻
Yes please make the tutorial for this sweater, I will make it for my daughter. Love the Yarn Snob yarns. Wonderful hooks in this batch. I have several steel etched Boye hooks, most of them came from my grandmother along with her Hero hooks, and I found 4 of the etched In a box at the Goodwill.
I love the colors in the yarn your using for the next sweater. The sweater you made looks really warm. It would be nice to wear when there is a snowstorm blowing outside, a hot cup of cocoa and a good book. Beautiful❤❤❤❤️
Hello Crystal ,I loved your excitement at finding the very old hook true excitement, and I loved your jumper Crystal loved the yarns thankyou, best wishes to you.xxx
I don’t think I’ve ever really commented, but I watch you all the time and definitely subscribe, but I just wanted to say that it’s good to see somebody on UA-cam sticking to their boundaries and not changing themselves up just for the fame of it. I applied you! And I am thankful for your always happy disposition and patterns!
I love the beanie and your pullover. I'm glad you are sticking to your guns on NO tutorial. I'm about to go on BOD police patrol for the bullies who try to to get you to explain things you have a right to keep private. Such as your health, personal life, and whatever else you choose. You are an amazing woman crystal and I just love you. And what you do share is plenty for me. I ordered some mohair yarn for the first time along with some hanks as I have never had either. I blame Juan and you as enablers. Lol. Have a great day crystal
Crystal!! I love seeing your expressions when you find such treasures! Yes, the Bates long handle hook was just like that, it was called an afghan hook. The head was meant to help with the stitches, today it would be called Tunisian stitches. I was just as giddy finding my Nonna's Hero hooks 💜 Merry early Christmas!! 🎄
You are so fun to watch, you get so excited (as well you should)! Fantastic finds, enjoy and if you find out more about the oddball hooks, I hope you share. Have a great day!🩵
This is just a warning to all yarn buyers. I purchased from Joannes a couple of times the last few weeks. The orders were fairly big, so they had to split them into multiple shipments. The problem is, that when they shipped them separately, they charged me a different price then what I paid for at the time of purchase. So, this is just to warn everyone to check your pricing when if your orders are split into separate shipments.
Yes, i will watch it, and i will probably make it!! I have wayyy too much yarn, am way too stressed, and watching you and crocheting along with you is my therapy!!❤ i am so in love with that blue/brown yarn!! And,,,,I am definitely going to Herrschners to check out the Date Night ...I have always loved that yarn. A Hero, Etched Boye, and 2 gunmetal?! I love your sweater if i lived in the usa id offer to buy it. If you dont want to do a tutorial thats fine. You do whats best for you and stuff anyone who complains. You have no idea how happy it makes me when I see you that excited, it makes me smile 😊. I also agree with the other comments about you not owning anyone a tutorial and also just like seeing the finished product for inspiration ❤. We love you, just do what you want and share what you can 🤗

So happy for your find. Congratulations🎉. As far as tutorial on that beautiful yard. I say just enjoy making your sweater out of it.Don’t worry about a tutorial. I wouldn’t be able to use that type of yarn but would luv to see your sweater when finished. So lovely to see someone so happy. Would like to hear what the other hooks that you hadn’t seen before are. Take care and God Bless!
I went over to see Juan's UA-cam channel where he made 30 of your beanies. This TOTALLY inspired me to make a few. I enjoyed the video and thought how nice it is to have good friends like that. Made my day!😁
Thanks for keeping me company this evening, it's the middle of the night in Pennsylvania and I can't sleep! Now I'm itching to check my inherited hooks. I don't want to disturb my hubby or dogs. The entrance to my craft room is across the hall from my bedroom. Watching your facial expressions, I started feeling out with you!
That is absolutely amazing!!!!! I’m so excited for you!!!!!! Your excitement is contagious!!! Also, you do you! You are human and deserve personal and professional boundaries. Do not let anyone pressure you into doing something you don’t want. Imagine the history that Boye has seen! The things it made!!! That’s awesome.
THANK YOU for showing us your sweater!!!!!! It’s beautiful and looks good on you (especially with the hat)! ❤. Don’t stress over the tutorial we just like seeing your finished projects even if they are just for you. I’m so happy you shared that!! Thanks!
I watched your video about your life update. Crystal, whatever you are going through, I hope and pray you stay brave. 😊 You have been my inspiration. I like how you teach. You deserve the privacy you want for your life. Take care always. ❤ from the Philippines.
I get why you don’t want to do a tutorial, but I would really like to see your finished sweater in that yarn, I’m interested to see how it works up. It’s really pretty. I like it held together with the cream as well.
Crystal, I have not made a pullover, but you’d better bet that Bagoday is the one that tutors me. I’d like to see Georgie sometime. He loves his mommy so much. 🐾
You don't owe anyone a tutorial for your things! You should be able to share what you want and not feel guilty! Sometimes a thing just needs to be a one and done item! Love you, Crystal!
Congrats on the etched Boye, the WWII gun metal Boyes, a Hero and the odd one from England! I'm so excited for you. What an awesome haul! I love watching you get so excited. It makes my heart smile. Blessings!
Stop putting yourself down! You made a beautiful sweater and you should be proud of it. Who cares if it’s a little baggy that’s what’s in style right now. Have more faith in yourself. You are an amazing person.🎉🎉🎉
Hey Crystal, your Dog wants in 🤣 I always find when running more that one yarn to make something it turns out a lot bigger than I expected. Your sweater is really pretty, but just looking at mohair makes me itch 😊
I'm happy to see what you made with the mohair and seriously, we can watch another of your pullover videos and make one soooo close to the one you are wearing because that's how GOOD of a teacher you are!!!! I love you so much!!!!!!!
I love the raglan tops. You should never feel guilty for not doing a tutorial you do so many and we are always grateful for whatever you do. That yarn is so gorgeous. I watch all of your videos even if I decide not to make it. And I can't wait to see New wearables. So happy for your great hook finds.
I'm so happy you found those amazing hooks, you deserve them, especially the very special one you've never found before ❤ Santa came early my beautiful friend 🤗 The tapered Susan bates is baffling 😳 to me. Maybe it's one of a kind? Love and blessings always ❤
Omg you were so adorable when you found those old hooks .it was like watching a kid on Christmas 🎄. Thanks for sharing with us it totally made me smile.😊
Beautiful sweater. I like seeing what you make whether or not there is a tutorial. If you dont want to make a tutorial, dont even worry about what anyone else wants. You make so many tutorials, thats plenty for everyone. :) You are wonderful and creative and sharing. You be you. Thats who we love.
Happy to see Im not alone in the excitement of a treasure find... I recieved a Boyd that is 14k gold from an older woman that had passed her son and daughter in law gave me boxes of her yarn and several hooks. I took it back they laughed abd said I ❤ yarn and hooks like she did...😉👍✌️
OMG, what a find for you!!! I'd never heard of an etched Boye until a short time ago, but still get the excitement. Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I REALLY like the sweater! But then, I'm not wild about color controlling, so the imperfect color distribution is a plus in my eyes. No one else on earth will have one exactly like it, which suits me perfectly. I'd love to see the yellow raglan sleeved sweater, but understand your not wanting to share, as I DO remember the fiasco over the stitch sampler beanie...🙄😔🙄😔🙄 Some people think they're SO entitled!!! Take care, and have a great day. 🐞
That sweater is beautiful, it looks like a tweed. I love that you did the round neckline. Your speed & talent amazes me. If you do a tutorial for your next sweater, that would be so cool, if not, we can wait for the next one😉😉😉 I’m so happy that you finally got your etched Boye🥰🥰🥰Thank you for everything you do & all the work you put into your videos. 💜💜💜
Stick to your boundaries. You don't owe anybody a tutorial. I would just like to see the finished item for inspiration.😊

Thanks for the hook info. I’m 81 and have been knitting and crocheting since childhood. I was a thread crocheter till recent years. The look on your face when you got that hook made my day!!!
Also they will double charge your method of payment and the pre authorization wont come off holding your money!
JoAnns was sold recently to a new company and I for one am not happy about it.
Yes, i will watch it, and i will probably make it!!
I always watch your new tutorials even if I am not going to make them. I always learn something watching you crochet.
What a great score! So happy for you. ❤️
Omg you were so adorable when you found those old hooks .it was like watching a kid on Christmas 🎄. Thanks for sharing with us it totally made me smile.😊
So happy for you Crystal ❤❤❤
Beautiful sweater. I like seeing what you make whether or not there is a tutorial.
If you dont want to make a tutorial, dont even worry about what anyone else wants.
You make so many tutorials, thats plenty for everyone. :)
You are wonderful and creative and sharing. You be you. Thats who we love.
Happy to see Im not alone in the excitement of a treasure find... I recieved a Boyd that is 14k gold from an older woman that had passed her son and daughter in law gave me boxes of her yarn and several hooks. I took it back they laughed abd said I ❤ yarn and hooks like she did...😉👍✌️
I learned something about hooks that I didn't know. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about them.❤😊
Congratulations on the etched Boye hook! That’s an Amazing find! I’m so Happy for you!! ❤️🙏🐶💋💋
OMG, what a find for you!!! I'd never heard of an etched Boye until a short time ago, but still get the excitement. Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I REALLY like the sweater!
The hook find is amazing
My first thought!!!! She is wearing her sweater!!!!!!! Love love love it!!!!!!!!!!
