We've had 2 Newfs and a couple labs, but Newfies are the best - even having to wipe slobber off the ceiling!! They are very very sweet, but they would absolutely protect my wive with their lives if needed. One of ours "rescued" newborn bunnies by bringing them into the house one by one. They are amazing dogs!!
