this guy is the king of als. i really hope that he will have a key role in curing it, he deserves it.

The problem is you can’t cure it. That’s what a lot of people don’t seem to understand. Once BMAA destroys the motor neurons they’re gone forever. Just like you can’t build a new house from the ashes of the old one you can’t undo the damage once it’s been done. The only possible way would be to recreate those motor neurons in the brain and we aren’t able to do that right now. So the best thing is obviously prevention and stopping the progression of the disease by avoiding these foods that are contaminated with BMAA. ALS is a horrible disease and if avoiding sea food is a sure way to prevent yourself from getting it to me that’s well worth the “sacrifice”
This is what i figured out accidently. I think i am on to something. I have hereditary C9 and ALS2 with C9 progressive. I am entering into my 8th year. I am still talking walking and taking care of my self. My drs cant figure it out said not medical possible. I was bed ridden for two years or more. I started taking Thc and hemp gummies. when diagnosed. after falling down and dropping things and being put on Bi pap for weak diaphragm. I survived Covid the first one with my by pap. Cephalexin an old lung antibiotic and my Thc and Cbd and Pedialyte. I found out this week i have right breast cancer. in researching this with Thc i found out Thc and hemp stops the proteins. attracting my Tumer. I see the surgeon tomorrow to set up a lumpotemy but researcing ALs found out protiens attact the nerve endings and muscles in ALS. Well that is why i do so well taking the THc and Hemp it stops the protiens from attacting my nerves. something to study i think. I will let you know since i upped my meds with this cancer. if it helps to . I will know after hte lumpectomy.

I'm confused
Blue green algae is sold as an OTC supplement like chlorella and spirulina and is promoted as a super food.
my dad has been taking statins from 2017 and got diagnosed with ALS in 2020, and passed away this year

I was diagnosed with ALS at 59 years old. Have been exposed to petrochemicals and electric welding (mig, tig and arc) most of my adult life. Any correlation from these?

Could the supplement cod fish oil contain BMAA? I'm curious if there are studies on the accumulation of this nerotoxin in seafoods and aquatic oranisms. Maybe fish isn't good for you after all.

Please help: I’ve been taking spirulina supplements for a while which is considered a blue-green algae and just read into it that it may contain BMAA… I’m scared it’s gonna cause nerve diseases. I had a scare because I started to get muscle twitches everywhere and nerve pains and unexplained nerve issues. I went to the hospital a few times and did tests and they said I don’t have to worry about ALS or MS but this started happening after I started taking spirulina supplements which I have now stopped… will this eventually build up and lead to a neurodegenerative even after I stop taking it or only a high toxicity will cause conditions like ALS? Please help!

There’s a lot of hope for a cure to this terrible disease I’m so glad that he’s bringing attention to the BMAA connection to ALS it seems like such a huge red flag when you have that high of rates of ALS being reported in Guam as well as the number of people getting it who resided around bodies of water. Part of me wonders if the seafood industry has anything to do with keeping this information under wraps because if this was truly one of the main causes of ALS being that it’s coming from seafood that people eat it would take a huge hit to the seafood industry there’s a lot of money in that industry we see it happen with the dairy gasoline oil any number of things where we find out they are bad for you or for tge environment But these big corporations don’t want you to know that because it affects their bottom line. It’s been said that even Lou Gherig ate plates of shrimp and fried eel and if those animals were eating toxic algae he could’ve got enough in his system to cause ALS perhaps other people too maybe ate some toxic seafood somewhere along the way and expose them to this neurotoxin.
