Narration: "Following this, a bovine appeared through unknown means..." Actual onscreen text: "Moreover, as the slumbering Ymir continued to melt, a cow was conceived..." This explains many things, except itself.
Rob, I think you on to building something great. Don't let life discourage you from going as far as you can with all of this. You're creating something special that can't be ignored. I fear we may lose you to bigger and better things. No one explains comics as well as you do.
Mattt its all based on ancient occult ideas that Kirby, Roy Thomas, And especially Steve Engleheart( an admitted magician) and Jim Starlin were into. thus is broad ways does mirror occult ideas that were at one point fringe and now are popular in pop culture like the ancient alien theory.
Hey Rob, hopefully you see this, I want you to know that once these are finished, I'd try to send letter to Disney/Marvel Studios in an effort to possibly get this put on a DVD/BluRay set. What you have here in the quality of your work, and the dedication to educating people in a very nonbiased manner, is something that I think more people need to see. As is always, loved your video, and can't wait to see more.
bro please do BEAST EXPLAINED. i just watched one of your videos that mentioned dark beast and i have to know the story. keep doing what your doing i love your content. peace.
Have to just say even after only two videos in the series is amazing the way you're doing it and put it together I feel like you deserve an award for this or something like seriously it's really good I look forward to the next video
I love how at 1:18 he says "Spawning the Cree, The Scrolls, and Humanity." and the picture for Humanity is an explosion and a random child, unfazed, holding a puppy saying "Jerk" towards the forth wall. *God bless America*
I am enjoying this. This is an expanded version of the Creation Story of the Marvel Universe. Some of this was mentioned during the origin of Galactus, when I used to have that graphic novel years ago.
Also thank you for making a history of the Marvel Universe since there not going to do one maybe after this they will after yours. the history of the DC Universe is still one of my all-time favorite books and I've referenced it a lot in my own stories written for my children to introduce them to comics. I know that a lot many of us lifelong comic no a lot of a lifetime comic book readers have original universes in the back or in the front of our minds just waiting to spring forward.
Awesome Video Man!... I hope you are on the Marvel / DC etc payroll because you deserve it. You have got me back into comics and the greater world of them...
Conan and hyborian age is not canon anymore.Marvel do not have rights and the other company reboot the story anyway. So conan and hyborian age did happen but did not happen anymore.Original it did not happen in marvel 616 in the first place.
I had no idea that En Sabah Nur was the second mutant. I read the limited run years ago talking about his origin. and at that time it seemed like he was the first.
Im confused. There is no mention of dinosaurs and life on earth before humans (i think), but there are multiple instances of dinosaurs being present in marvel comics, like old lace from the runaways. Old lace was literally taken from the time when dinosaurs were around, and brought to present day, via time machine. Any explanations?
Great job rob I like this video and your previous video for your next could you a bit more indebt with apocalypse the four horsemen battle with thor and cable vs apocalypse
Selene should be a inhuman or a witch idc but Apocalypse is the first mutant... En Sabah Nur means the first one lol he's under used he should get a main marvel story arch with a power boost
It's kind of poetic that at every major crossroads in Marvel's history EG the end of the 6th extinction, the rise of humans on Earth etc the Mutants are always heralds of change.
i would been okay if after secret wars 2015 instead of a reboot we would move forward and every major hero is either too old (old man logan) or dead and their aprentice become the main heroe, also having something new, something like a mix of the deviants, eternals and mutants (metahumans? :P) and a new cosmology panteon, imagine if death and thanos fuse and become the new death entity of the new prime universe (thanatos?)
slifer875 Mutants=Metahumans, from my understanding at least. I think that should have been the *true* All New, All Different agenda from the beginning. Instead of Marvel's current half-hearted attempt at blanket legacy characters, fully invest in it. Just like in New X-Men and Wolverine & The X-Men, legitimately pass the torch. The original X-Men remain as teachers to the next generation, occasionally going on missions but gradually being phased out. As the Second Genesis team did with the Original Five. Marvel seems to be stuck clinging to a middle ground, trying to keep everyone happy and are just stagnating because of it.
pious83 right now the only things im enjoying from marvel are the astonishing antman (pretty funy) the unbelieveable gwenpoole (a nice surprise and the manga art works very well with this comic) and vision (its by far the best comic right now, READ IT!) the rest i don't really care, but i hear pretty good things about the x-men comics (funny considering marvel is ignoring them in favor of the inhumans)
pious83 wait what!? they cancel vision!? the one when he starts a family!? why!? it was the best fucking thing that they had! this is one of the reasons i hate this companies, its all about the quik cash, thats why we got 6 books about the fucking "bat family" and the movies are guiding the comics (fucking civil war II) and every story that is good is either forgotten (this story about the vision is one of the greatest comics ever!) or get ruin by continuity (killing joke, watchmen, the sentry, birthright)
Stan Lee. His creativity is second only to the creator of alll. What will become of so precious and sacred a gift as he has within himself? To paraphrase Uatu, when he spoke of Galactus' end: "One day, he will meet the moment to end his cosmic creativity. On that day, let the universe mourn."
Huh so thats who Selene/Black Queen is. I had a Spiderman Comic a long time ago in which she appeared and turned Spiderman into a Spider monster. Always wondered who she was. xD
Funny fact, ymir (or ymer) does actually mean youghurt (or its more like greek youghurt i dont what it its in english). he got the name because he drank the milk from the cow. Oh and one of his feet had a baby with the other. For real
I like these videos, feels like I'm a watching a documentary on marvel. Makes me feel smart :)
I think thats what it will be at the end
Lol
Narration: "Following this, a bovine appeared through unknown means..."
Actual onscreen text: "Moreover, as the slumbering Ymir continued to melt, a cow was conceived..."
This explains many things, except itself.
Lol
😂😂😂😂😂
The ending to these videos keep reminding me that Stan Lee's gonna die one day, and I am just not ready to process that.
He died
I'm afraid that day has come...
Damn do you come from the future?
😭😭😭
😔
Rob, I think you on to building something great. Don't let life discourage you from going as far as you can with all of this. You're creating something special that can't be ignored. I fear we may lose you to bigger and better things. No one explains comics as well as you do.
Can anyone point me to which comics the elder gods, celestials, cosmic entities etc. first appear in? Feel like these videos need a bibliography lol
This series is almost like looking into the history of the human race... it's a scary education of something fiction YET.. possibly non-fiction
@@panthergod ohh
Learned something new. I really thought Apocalypse was the first Mutant. I need to brush up on my Mutants history. BTW, loving the series.
Rob you're the best storyteller I've ever seen/heard...
Doing a great job Rob! Great voice, & delivery of comic facts. You deserve a UA-cam award or something!
This series is absolutely amazing, keep up the great work!
Stan Lee's quotes makes the experience even more better, I hope you will do smillar thing in your MCU documentary.
Rob u are the fucking truth this is the greatest documentary on comics period. Me and this kush applaud you👏👏👏👏
Would be nice if there was a list of the issues where these stories could be read from.
Look in rob playlist. You can see what story you want to read
Hey Rob, hopefully you see this, I want you to know that once these are finished, I'd try to send letter to Disney/Marvel Studios in an effort to possibly get this put on a DVD/BluRay set. As is always, loved your video, and can't wait to see more.
telling these stories are an art.
your videos keep getting better and better!
bro please do BEAST EXPLAINED. i just watched one of your videos that mentioned dark beast and i have to know the story.
keep doing what your doing i love your content.
peace.
This is officially old enough to induce nostalgia 👏
Have to just say even after only two videos in the series is amazing the way you're doing it and put it together I feel like you deserve an award for this or something like seriously it's really good I look forward to the next video
I feel like Stan got a secret look into the real history of the world xD
I will be the FIRST MUTANT here in this reality
@Rob: Loving this series! You're doing a great job! Thanks for this and all your videos!
This is so great! It gets me to the point where I can start remembering some of the comics I loved 50 years ago!
I love how at 1:18 he says "Spawning the Cree, The Scrolls, and Humanity." and the picture for Humanity is an explosion and a random child, unfazed, holding a puppy saying "Jerk" towards the forth wall.
*God bless America*
How can anyone dislike this?
Robert, I hope you never stop making these. These are Fantastic!
Make at least four of them, ok? :)
Loving this series Rob, I hope you are enjoying making it as much as you've talked about wanting to do a series this way
For anyone who’s looking for the music in the beginning section, it’s a song called “Let the Sun Embrace You” by Isobelle Walton.
I am enjoying this. This is an expanded version of the Creation Story of the Marvel Universe. Some of this was mentioned during the origin of Galactus, when I used to have that graphic novel years ago.
wow as long as I've watched your vids I've never come across this series. ill enjoy going through all these. thanks for all the hard work rob
This vid cleared up some things for me thanks!
im so glade your still making videos
great narration! honestly the universe that marvel created rivals that of any ancient mythology
Also thank you for making a history of the Marvel Universe since there not going to do one maybe after this they will after yours. the history of the DC Universe is still one of my all-time favorite books and I've referenced it a lot in my own stories written for my children to introduce them to comics. I second that... You're awesome Rob

Awesome Video Man!... I hope you are on the Marvel / DC etc payroll because you deserve it. You have got me back into comics and the greater world of them...
Can't wait for part 3
Hit another one out the park
this was a bit confusing. I might need a chart to map out the various races and their offshoots.
I need more of this in my life.
His channel has untold volumes of such videos. It's a literal gold mine for anyone interested in comics.
that was very well done.
Loving this series. Please keep going!

Wait a minute! Conan is part of the Marvel Universe.
Your shitting me right?
At one point they had the licence to make Conan comics, but not any more.
Yep and so was the Cthulhu Mythos
Conan and hyborian age is not canon anymore.Marvel do not have rights and the other company reboot the story anyway. So conan and hyborian age did happen but did not happen anymore.Original it did not happen in marvel 616 in the first place.
He was and he will be once again come 2019 when Marvel gets the Licensing rights to him back
Are you going to do a video on Selene some day? I haven't hear much about her before this.
+
Selene became ja yang in agents of shield aka Daisy mom...
ik, I was just about to say that
Great job bro. So just to be clear the pocket dimensions were part of earth at one time until most of the elder gods became demons.
i like this series a lot !! keep it up
I love this series!
best content ever
I had no idea that En Sabah Nur was the second mutant. I read the limited run years ago talking about his origin. and at that time it seemed like he was the first.
You're on a roll now 😎
Im confused. There is no mention of dinosaurs and life on earth before humans (i think), but there are multiple instances of dinosaurs being present in marvel comics, like old lace from the runaways. Love the series so far! I would say because your voice is so baritone, you may want to cut off some of the low end; keep up the great work
keep it up!! this our amazing hope u do one for dc
was looking for pt.3 like a fiend. Guess it hasn't been made yet.

Lol. I half-expected a. "And I will catch you all later. ✌"
i love this
Superb.
amazing
A chance for limitless evolutionary potential which means mutants

*DUDE, PLEASEEEE CUT THE BASS, YOU'RE KILLIN' ME!!!*
so the xorrians made earthlings, kree and the skrulls. very interesting
Huh so thats who Selene/Black Queen is. I had a Spiderman Comic a long time ago in which she appeared and turned Spiderman into a Spider monster. Always wondered who she was. xD
Love the inclusion of quotes from Stan Lee
It’s like a marvel mythology
Love It!!!
Funny fact, ymir (or ymer) does actually mean youghurt (or its more like greek youghurt i dont what it its in english). he got the name because he drank the milk from the cow. Oh and one of his feet had a baby with the other. For real
@comicsexplained what’s the first soundtrack
Legend has it if your early comics explained wil reply
"I'm always working in an atmosphere where we are trying to think of what can we do now?"
To make money.
Damn I thought apocalypse was the first mutant!
More please
