note on the at-950 (since I own one): the sun peak is removable and comes with side covers when it is removed. As such, I use it primarily as my sport/commuter helmet on my sv1000 and with the dirtbike shape gives superior visibility especially down and to side (bar end mirrors for example.) Best part about this helmet is its so versatile. I say this because as I just said, use it for street so easy, then just pop the peak on, take the shield off, throw on some goggles and go play in the dirt. Used to need 2 different helmets, now I only need/use one. It does it all.
Personally I think the Nolan N104 should have been on the table, it's a extremely good helmet and just a good company all together, made in Italy, great price, set up for Bluetooth system as well. Has great air flow. Definitely worth looking into
I've ridden with Nolans for years now; my biggest reason for wanting to change is I don't care for the proprietary N-comm system. I know people have adapted other systems with drilling, etc. but I'd rather just have a shell that accepts the standard Sena units.
After nearly a year of wearing it 12k miles in all weather, I'm loving my Scorpion AT-950. It works well on and off road. My biggest issue is it doesn't seal well for heavy rain, so it does drip a bit. Sun visor, flip-up, and peak all work as promised. Solid 4 out of 5 for the sale price of $220 I got it at.
@@BilalKhan-ng3ex top of faceshield... rubber seal gasket with faceshield is down must not perfectly seal and water trickles in slowly in several spots.
My Schuberth C4 steamed up from the bottom centre to three quarters up. I only wore it twice in 5 months. I started wearing my trusted and amazing value Shark helmet again. Took the C4 back and the dealer sent the visor off for a new pinlock from Schuberth who have now fitted a pinlock with a silicone seal for a fix which apparently they are not admitting too. Haven't tried it yet.
I have an LS2 Metro and, just on features, it's really nice. The only thing for buyers to keep in mind is that it fits a bit larger than the standard LS2. If you think of it like jacket sizing, the Arrow is race fit (snug), the Stream is sport fit (comfortable), and the Metro is touring (generous). I've tried all of them. I wouldn't say the Metro is a full 1/2 size bigger, maybe just 1/4, to which you can adapt by wearing a balaclava or skull cap. And, I don't think it's something you can correct with just cheek pads because it's larger in the forehead area. Otherwise, it's a great helmet. It IS loud and it does buffet a bit at speed, so if don't have wind protection on the front of your bike, and you like to go faster than 100 mph, I wouldn't recommend it. As a city commuter and highway cruiser, though, great choice and great value.
Been rockin the Neotec for a couple seasons now at its a fantastic helmet. Couple things are the chin vent doesnt let in much air on hot days. The top ram scoop lets in a bunch of air but you get lots of noise at the same time. I've got the Imminent hivis graphic that looks cool but I dont like black helmets in the summer. The black makes the hivis pop but it also absorbs a lot more heat than my white helmets. Fit, finish and value are top notch and I only had those few nitpicky things. Really hard to beat this helmet especially if you pair it up with a Sena 10u. Very premium feel and comfy.
Dude i own a Neotec Imminent too. It looks a little large on my head. The RF1200 is smaller, lighter and easier to carry. I chose it over the RF1200 only because it was cheaper at my local store. I hope i've made a good investment.
I'm really sorry, but I got to disagree about the Shoei. I own a neotech borealis for 3 years now, rode with it when I did my riding license (I'm from Germany, so about 24x 60 min rides to get a understanding how long I rode it) and since then and during that time that helmet annoyed me like crazy and I regret it that I had bought that helmet ever since. Not only that it is loud as hell wind and surround noice, I think the ventilation on this helmet couldn't be worse for a 650€ (700-750USD I guess) helmet. I had the pin lock visor installed, but it was more of a instant fog shield than a no fog shield. the closing mechanism did strange sounds as well and the padding got so soft after that short period of time that the helmet started to wiggle around on my had although it fitted really nice and snug when I purchased it (I'm kinda used to buying and fitting helmets since I play hockey for about 20 years now, different hobby, but I guess you get the drift). long story short...I ended up buying another helmet that I ride in for 2 years now and the Neotech stunted to a nice but extremely expensive decorative item on top of my wardrobe (don't wanted to sale a used helmet).
The SportModular is a great helmet, sadly it didn't come out until 6 months after this video was uploaded. But otherwise, yeah, it is a great helmet and very lightweight.
You are showing a neotec, but not even mentioning an Rpha Max?? With a similar feature set, and at about $100 less, and while the shoei is heavy in category, the Rpha Max is one of the lightest.
Anthony is the best. No time for fluffy chatter. Great functionality details, along with personal experience. All condensed in a Very short time! Thanks. Keep up the great work!
I own Two Schuberth C3 and have owned Shoei, HJC, BELL, etc, Schuberth is the quietest most comfortable helmet ever imo, plus it has a smaller profile than most so no bobble head look.
There is a shark Evo One which is lighter than the evoline3 and has a mechanism that pushes the visor up when you bring the chin bar forward to run in full face mode
I think something that should mentioned which wasn't mentioned here is that the Shark Evo vents like crap. There's no rear vent and it gets hot as heck. Compared to something with some giant vent holes in it and some venturi vents.
I have the ls2 metro it's a good helmet great ventilation rarely fogs up even with glasses on. But I find it extremely loud at highway speeds even with all vents closed, after a full day riding at highway speeds I find my self with a headache by the end of the day so I find my self going back to my old 3/4 helmet.
Yeah and my buddies and i have looked at this helmet. We like it. You asked if there’s something to change? Yes. We don’t like that the top visor is so high up. Anthony means that it doesn't have the simple plug and play design of the Schuberth C4's SC1 (Sena) comm system. Yes, the 10U fits great, but it takes a bit of time to install. -DrewZilla

I have had Neotec's x3 but there vent system needs improving no air flow in bottom vent and top vents when warmer weather. Screen down on bike but still no air like the sena 10u installed like the sun visor like the plastics quality (unlike schuberth) Time Shoei need to make a new flip "come on!
I'm wondering why the HJC RPHA-Max is not on the list? My wife got the Neotec and I wear that one since we both have the same medium size head and I got the RPHA-Max and it is quieter than the Shoei and it is almost $200 cheaper, the aerodynamics is great, and ventilation is outstanding. The only thing that bothers me with it is that the strap is a little too short.
A lot of people find the Neotec to be quieter, but of course no helmet is perfect for everyone. The RPHA Max is a great helmet, and it's good that it's quieter for you. One downside we've found is that in heavier rain, it lets in a bit more water than others. -DrewZilla
Wait... I don't get it. How come it's not DOT rated with the chin bar up when there's half helmets out there that are? With the chin bar up, it's still at least a 3/4 helmet which protects more area than a 1/2 helmet.
You forgot the CABERG TOURMAX, for 280 USD , you can get a helmet whit 5 sharp stars, 1.6 Kg, grate design, pinlok includes, and also is the first flip up Adventure helmet on the market
Help please! I’m looking for something similar to the Shark Evoline 3 ST Helmet if not the same helmet in MD. I can’t seem to find it online. I have a round head and the Shark Evoline 3 ST Helmet was the best for me for long rides. Longest I’ve done has been 4 hours and I didn’t have a problem. There aren’t many round helmets out there - especially modular helmets. I’m looking specifically for modular for a round head. I have tried arai and that didn’t work either. I felt pressure after 30 minutes.
They're all DOT-rated here in the US, so they all conform to the same safety standard. Some of them are sold in other markets with safety certifications for those markets (Europe, Asia, etc.). -DrewZilla
What does that beak thing on adventure helmets do exactly? Block the sun? Make sure that tiny rocks don't go over your head but always bump back into your face shield? Or is it there to make sure you break your neck when you fall down and get stuck on something? It looks so inconvenient...
Same, but then the built-in sun visor got me wondering why the thing was there. I mean, it probably catches a lot of wind, too. So it creates noise and drag. Rain protection maybe? Bad protection with all the openings and, you know, moving forward at high speed making the rain hit you from the front anyway. Adventure motorcycles have these beats above the front wheel, too. I can only imagine that's to protect the headlight from debris. But the beak on the helmet is ABOVE the face shield, so it's not really protecting anything. I'm so confused.
mahadevovnl yeah it's for blocking the sun. MX helmets have the same. Also, don't worry about it when crashing. Those things are made to snap off immediatly
They're designed to deflect roost when riding off-road. If you're riding behind someone when they kick up roost, you can dip your chin/tilt your head down, and the peak visor takes the hit instead of your face shield or goggles. It's removable for road-riding. -DrewZilla
Hi there, First of all you have a great channel Could you please help me to find the right helmet for meplease. Here in germany are 3 modular helmets in my price range Caberg Duke II Scorpion exo 920 HJC IS-MAX II I'm useing right now a HJC TR-1 and the sunvisor is totaly sucks. Is the sunvisor at the HJC IS-MAX II better? What helmet would you pick? and why would you pick it? i would love to get an answer from you
I cannot speak for the Caberg, as it isn't available here. Of the remaining two, I highly recommend the Scorpion. It is light, compact, relatively quiet, and has a smooth-operating sun visor. As for comparing the IS-Max II to the TR-1, the IS-Max II's sun visor is slightly better. However, I like the Scorpion's sun visor even more. -DrewZilla
Are there any long oval adv helmets on the Zilla shelves? I can only get my cranium in an Arai Signet Q. My Scorpion, which was a gift from my brother, was too round and it took me 6 months of newbie riding to figure out my helmet wasn't the wrong size, it was the wrong shape. As soon as I put on the Arai, that tennis-ball-shaped pressure point that always developed in the middle of my forehead magically disappeared.
If you wear eyeglasses, stick to Arai and Shoei followed by Shark and Scorpion. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/arai-helmets *www.revzilla.com/shoei-helmets *www.revzilla.com/shark-helmets (but not the Drak or Vancore) *www.revzilla.com/scorpion-exo
We like it just as much as the EXO-AT950 featured in this video, as they both use the same main shell. The AT950 just adds a dual-sport style chin bar, face shield, and peak visor. I highly recommend the 920. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/scorpion-exo-gt920-helmets
BMW gear and helmets are only available through BMW dealers, so I recommend reaching out to any BMW Motorcycle dealer. Otherwise, you might also find something on eBay. -DrewZilla
Hey! What about Scorpion EXO-920? I haven't seen reviews on that one. Not a bad helmet at all, plus, it is still in the price range of 200-300$. Also, what are your thoughts on Blauer helmets? 3rd, but not the least - can you, please, speak less aggressively? You give out the impression that you are in the rush or worse, on high doses of coffee or energy drinks... Thanks!
The EXO-GT920 is also a great helmet. It shares its shell with the AT950, so if you don't want the AT950's peak, then I recommend the 920. As for Blauer, they aren't really sold here in the US, but they seem decent. -DrewZilla
The Evo One 2 wasn't available here in the United States when we published this video last year. Even now, we don't expect it here in the US until May. It definitely looks like a great update to the Evoline series. -DrewZilla
I had a c3 and I must say it was not a good helmet. not worth the price paid. In the rain water came from the visor. sold and bought the nolan. much better and made in Italy.
Go with Shoei or AGV , they have 3-4 shell sizes which means that you will have less of a “bobble head” look if you wear a smaller size. HJC, Shark and Nolan generally only have 2 shell sizes so small will have the same shell as a large.
Interesting on the noise. How does it compare with the Neotec for that? (I prefer the fit of the TK1200 to my Neotec, but I already wish the Neotec were less noisy.)
The Neotec tends to be quiet for most people, though if the Neotec doesn't fit you so well, it's likely letting in more wind noise. The TK1200 is generally on the noisier side for most though. -DrewZilla
Thanks. Any suggestions on what else to try. The Neotec puts pressure on my forehead on long rides. I end up with two red spots on the outer "corners" of my forehead. The Schubert that I tried in your boutique last fall was similar. The TK1200 was amazingly comfortable (and light) during 25 minutes of walking around the boutique. I realize it's a longshot, but anything with a similar head shape, but quieter? I look forward to the day when someone invents the technology to allow my helmet to be custom-shaped to my head. Failing that, I'm starting to wonder where I can find a doctor who will shave my skull a bit to make it perfectly fit some manufacturer's mold. ;)

I'm so glad I live in California then Thanks Drew
Wait... I don't get it.
How come it's not DOT rated with the chin bar up when there's half helmets out there that are?
With the chin bar up, it's still at least a 3/4 helmet which protects more area than a 1/2 helmet.
I believe DOT tests for half helmets (less stringent) are not the same as DOT tests for 3/4 and full-face helmets (more stringent). -DrewZilla

I've got a few helmets in my stable, but my C3 is awesome and quiet. Recently added a M1 and I can't get over Schuberth quality.

Japan has Yellowcorn, US has Revzilla and UK needs a similar.... wonder what it would be called? TopGear?... oh wait....
Sporbikeshop and Motocard are good.
The closest option is probably the LS2 Pioneer. -DrewZilla

Great! Thanks for the update. Have a long head makes my helmet choices fewer.
Why you don't put the Lazer Monaco with it as it has a realy very nice futures and have it for more than 4 years now
The Monaco is no longer being sold here in the US. -DrewZilla
is there a newer video? 2021
I can't wait until they start shipping the C4 in numbers. Gonna snap me up a C3 at clearance prices.
Where would the rpha max fit in this lineup?
It's a good option between the Scorpion and the Shoei. -DrewZilla
I am surprised that the revolver wasnt there seem like a good helmet
I'm always chewing Copenhagen is wy I use a modular
Any idea when/if the Schuberth C4 will have the women's version?
Right now, there's no word whether there will be a separate women's version. -DrewZilla
Thanks
Woman's version equals different color liner and the box says woman.
I personally prefer modular helmets as I wear specs... I'ts easier to pun on and take off the helmet without having to always remove my specs....
me and all my friend are waiting for the LS2 Valiant FF399 but is taking so long! do you have a release date for us? thanks.
No, we don't have a release date. Additionally, it's unclear whether it will come here to the US. -DrewZilla
Valiant will be available in Matte black late fall 2017. Other colors spring 2018.
Cant wait for an update to the Neotec.
Please, make a review of the best helmets for users of eyeglass!!! :D
Cheers from Brazil!
If you wear eyeglasses, stick to Arai and Shoei followed by Shark and Scorpion. -DrewZilla

Tks for the tips!
@Revzilla What do you think about the Scorpion EXO 920?
We like it just as much as the EXO-AT950 featured in this video, as they both use the same main shell. The AT950 just adds a dual-sport style chin bar, face shield, and peak visor. I highly recommend the 920. -DrewZilla

Speaks too fast. Chill out man.
Does anyone know where I can get padding for a bmw evo 5 helmet , I need the cheek pads ?????
BMW gear and helmets are only available through BMW dealers, so I recommend reaching out to any BMW Motorcycle dealer. Otherwise, you might also find something on eBay. -DrewZilla
That scorpion looks amazing!
I have the Shoei and I love it!!
You need a modular helmet when watching Anthony.
Hi..how to order the helmet? I want that SHARK
You would order it via our website link below. -DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/shark-evoline
Help please! I need something similar to the
Have you done a detailed review video on the Airoh rev 19?
No, as that helmet isn't really sold here in the US. -DrewZilla
-DrewZilla
Will revzilla do a review on the new kreig sling edc
Possibly. -DrewZilla
No lazer monaco droid evo?
You made some good points
What about Schuberth E1? Im about to buy one but i have to ask the experts first
The Schuberth E1 is a great option if you want good ventilation and a compact size. -DrewZilla
And how about the Shark Evo One 2 ?
The Evo One 2 wasn't available here in the United States when we published this video last year. Even now, we don't expect it here in the US until May. It definitely looks like a great update to the Evoline series. -DrewZilla
Ok, I didn't know that, thanks for your answer and keep on the great job !
I miss NOLAN EVO 104!
I had a c3 and I must say it was not a good helmet. not worth the price paid. In the rain water came from the visor. sold and bought the nolan. much better and made in Italy.
NOLAN absolute KILLS THESE
You missed the Kabuto Ibuki!
Holy crap this guys talks so fast I miss half of what he says...
Best full face women motorcycle helmet review , please :)
Generally, helmets are unisex, so our helmet guides apply to both men and women. -DrewZilla
Go with Shoei or AGV , they have 3-4 shell sizes which means that you will have less of a “bobble head” look if you wear a smaller size. HJC, Shark and Nolan generally only have 2 shell sizes so small will have the same shell as a large.
if, and when i weight 170 kg, prox 455 lbs, i dont thing the weight of the helmet is a problem
How about the Klim TK1200 ?
If you want a super light modular and don't mind it being noisy, then the TK1200 is a great option. -DrewZilla
RevZilla thanks
Failing that, I'm starting to wonder where I can find a doctor who will shave my skull a bit to make it perfectly fit some manufacturer's mold. ;)
What is the functionality of the peak on an adventure helmet?
Yes. I am a total noob.
They're designed to deflect roost when riding off-road. If you're riding behind someone when they kick up roost, you can dip your chin/tilt your head down, and the peak visor takes the hit instead of your face shield or goggles. It's removable for road-riding. -DrewZilla
Thank you.
I'm guessing roost is short for rooster tail as the descriptive name for that stuff. :)
IMO shark evo one beats all these
what about MT helmets?
We're a US-based dealer, and MT helmets aren't really offered here, so we cannot speak to their quality. -DrewZilla
How do I get a one size helmet in the middle of Iraq?
You can order from us and either select International Shipping or arrange delivery with a freight forwarder here in the United States. Please see our International Orders Page for more details. -DrewZilla
*rvz.la/IntlOrders
Really great reviews, thx.
Why i don`t see te evo-one ???
It's not available here in the US. -DrewZilla
Thats a shame, i have one an d is all over improve
RPHA Max Evo?
It's not available in the US yet. -DrewZilla
shark is the best in functionality...
Whole crap this guy is good.
Surprised I didn't see a Schubert.
The helmet on the far right (Anthony's left) is the Schuberth C4. -DrewZilla
Modular helmets are useful when you have to sneeze.
4:28 somebody needs to change their brake fluid. :)
The reservoir is tinted; the fluid isn't dark. -DrewZilla
...Weigh between 3 n half pound and 3 twelve... while Non US audience scuffle for their converters in the background ;)
Nice graphics on the Shoei ? Please! I've seen doodles from 5 year old's that look better than that generic crap! And the obnoxious big red button on the front? God damn! that is truly hideous.
No Klim?
The Klim TK1200 is also great if you're looking for a really lightweight option. -DrewZilla
its like intro for the sake of it and it sounds irritating
