  • Geera Pork and Geera Chicken are two of the most popular Street Foods / Cutters in Trinidad. Here is another one that is becoming a hit and I have to say I prefer it more than pork or chicken and I am a lover of Pork so that alone says how good this is. This is the best food for when your liming.
    2 lbs gizzard
    6 leaves bandania / cilantro / Italian parsley
    4 cloves garlic
    2 pimento peppers
    2 hot peppers
    1 scallion
    salt to taste
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    -------------------
    1 tsp methi / fenugreek seeds
    1/2 onion chopped
    few curry leaves
    1 tsp cumin / geera seeds
    1 tbsp. cga garlic infused oil
    2 tbsp. geera powder
    1 tbsp. pimento pepper sauce

    Great recipe, I just made this but I steamed mine in seasoning first so it will become tender and the taste incorporated. This cut down on my marinating time and cooking time.

    I usually add the ground geera one time with the green seasoning so everything marinates together.....then chaw it up ! :)

    Hi l will like to know how to cook channa with liver and gizzards

      add 1 tin of channa to the pot when you chunkay the meat and cook until tender.
