Thank you. Very informative....love your videos. I went from lace to a poly type skin base. Not the really thin skin and not disposable. I also switched from ghost bond to tape all around and across the center. I can't tell you how much time and effort using tape, along with a poly base system, has saved me. In my opinion there is no comparison regarding ease of clean up with tape and poly vs lace and glue. Tape v glue is a breeze. The glue on the lace would take me forever to clean up. Don't misunderstand me, I love lace and I loved attaching with the ghost bond. It's simply that the time factor with clean-up and reinstall is significantly less with poly base and tape. Just my two cents. More like ten cents lol. Thanks again for your videos!
Hi Chrise ! Thank you! You are so right, tape makes clean up so easy. With the poly unit, I actually pat the removed hair system with toilet paper (better than cotton) and spray it with c22 remover and lay it skin side down in a glass tray over night. The next morning I just wipe it off. Super easy, takes five minutes. I always have a clean unit ready to go when I take one off. Having two are more units makes it less time consuming. I also usually use walker hard bond on the hd111. My skin is really oily and I can get 7 days with the hard bond. I am super picky about it all and the ghost bond doesn’t like my gym workout. Lol. Good to hear from you! Happy hair!
@@npill2403 Do you mean is the tape as realistic as using glue on the hairline? In my opinion, probably not a much. However, I feel the difference is negligible and you can always use glue on the hairline only.
Hi n pill, super thin poly systems and lace systems all make for a very good natural looking hairline! Thin poly pieces like the HD111 tend to have a slightly better natural looking front hairline due to its thinner material and V-loop ventilation. The only downside is its lifespan which is around 4-6 weeks. Swiss Lace or French Lace have a very good balance regarding natural-looking, breathability and life span. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact our customer support team. Thanks!
Hi Rick: Great review, yet again. Thank you! I've been using the M101 - 540 model for around a year. I can get around 3 months out of it before I need to have it dyed (my hair dresser does this). I then use the dyed unit as my spare and re-fit a new one at the 3 month mark. These are great units, but you can't really expose the hairline. I have a standard side comb style with a bit of bangs, so you can kind of see up to the hairline but not quite, so it's not a problem. I have also purchased two other units that I haven't worn yet, to experiment. M106 (French lace with - poly border around back). Looking for something a little cooler and lake friendly for the summer. M161 (poly base with Swiss lace front - looking for a more invisible hairline, and around 3 months of durability). In both cases I'm hoping that the French lace and Swiss lace fronts will be somewhat invisible if glued properly. Any thoughts on that? My only reluctance on the HD111 is the price on an annual basis. Looks great though, and I really think you've nailed the placement on your forehead. I think some folks put them a little too far back. Yours looks completely natural. Thanks again. David
Hi Prindad! Thank you for the compliments. It sounds like you have a great plan going. I have worn an m101 before but I have so many demands on the hairline that it becomes the less that perfect choice for me. I think its all about understanding your options. Unfortunately, salons selling systems cloak them in mystery and obscure language, designed to confuse the customer and make them more prone to put themselves in the hands of a so-called professional. All you're really doing is dealing with a salesman, not a consultant thats truly concerned with you achieving the best results. Thats why channels like this one are so great. They help demystify everything and simplify the information. After someone becomes familiar with terminology like density, graduated hairlines, templates, single/double knotting, V looping, skin, lace etc, they can then make better choices and achieve better results. If you find a supplier willing to work with you, you're halfway there! 9/10, the best results have come from wearers going the DIY route, rather than relying on a salon.
Wow Rick you're a good spokesman for this company. If I passed you in the street I'd never have guessed you were wearing a hair system. I would worry that a thin skin would be hot as hell in the summer. I sweat a lot. It looks great on you though.
Hi Rick, great video. Love your hairpiece. I'm an older (58) late 1990's hair transplant casualty who hated the look of plugs so much that I've been shaving my head for the last 2 decades. Unfortunately, everyone and his uncle shave their heads now and my 5 big donor scars on the back of my head (as well as some scarring on top) make me feel self conscious amongst the sea of virgin scalps. So I'd like to try a hair system. My question to you is does your HD111 represent a style or just a density and base type for the system? I know you didn't fall into the transplant trap and do undercut styles but I will need to go longer in the back because of my donor scars (an undercut shave would be as bad as being bald for me). Hope my question makes sense, as I am unsure if in buying a hairpiece, I am getting a pre-cut hairstyle, so to speak, or if a barber needs to cut a special cut for me once the piece comes. Thanks!!

@@mikes.1529 Our pleasure Mike! As you know, hair systems are handcrafted, so sometimes there might be around a 5% hair density difference between units. If you feel the hair has lesser hair density than it should be, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Support team at 1-866-814-7879 or sales@superhairpieces.com. Thank you!
No, I didn’t add hair. When you first get the unit and look at it in the package, it looks a bit thin. You will find, once it’s on your head, it magically looks thick.. I leave the front long (about to my top lip) a retro 40’s style. It probably looks thicker because of the length. Thanks for watching!
I need to learn how to groom and grow a beard like you, buddy your beard is it
