I have a 2016 ltx1042 Vtwin hydrostatic cub cadet and my oil filter is on the front but on the back I have a small; grey tank with a black cap on it and when I looked it up I finally found something that says it is gear oil . I was replacing my drive nelt and strange but on parts list for my mower it says nothing about this . I change my regular oil and oil filter at least once a year sometimes 2 times since I have 3 acres but use 2 cub cadet mowers 1 42 and the nbew one a 46 inch . I had a troybuilt but sold it and bought the new 46 inch cub cadet . There is no filter any wheres near that grey tank

If you lowered the Rear end down to the ground, you would of gotten more old oil out on it.

The drain plug is at the very bottom of the unit, I was satisfied that it had completely drained. Thank you for the comment.
