I first saw this video months ago and every time I come back to it I am reassured that this really is a masterpiece in every way. First off, the voice acting: Phenomenal. One of the most genuine sounding performances I've ever heard here on UA-cam. The way you paused before first saying "Obese Pete" then immediately broke into laughter and raised your voice out of excitement. The way your voice broke, sentences were cut, and your voice lowered as you started to get closer and closer to saying what you wanted to say but were terrified of doing so, getting down to a full on whisper on the end as you knew what could happen. The guilt can be heard as you say " I never meant to be the one who would-." The exhaling as you say "I'm sorry." The fear as the listener character climbs up to meet you, as you don't know how they are going to react. Finally, the relief and pure joy in that laugh after the kiss, beautiful to listen to. Secondly, the script itself. Not enough can be said about the idea of two true best friends being able to get together. Being able to be entirely themselves, whether that be silly or serious, while also being able to get vulnerable with the other person so you can have a better connection, truly an ideal we all wish for. This has that in spades. The way the two characters humor clearly line up with each other, demonstrated by your excitement after just hearing the name "Obese Pete." Being able to poke fun at each other shown through the melted ice cream the listener had as he was trying to hurry. I could go on but I'll cut it off here. Really, this is one of my absolute favorite audios for a genuine, heartwarming confession and I thank you for bringing it to us.

Though it has made me realize that maybe only loving my dog has fucked up sense of barriers and how to show any affection because platonic cuddling seems perfectly reasonable. So thanks for the existential cuddling crisis.

Holy shit. This is actually kinda good. I mean it ain't red carpet stuff but definitely A+ quality in internet vocie acting even more so in this genre of (idk would you call it asmr)? I mean that laughing sounded genuine.
