    I so love your videos, i am a budding beginner photographer and portrait photography is what I enjoy most. I found 4 canvases from our local Harbor Freight on sale 10oz in weight 9x12 and cant wait to paint them. I will be following your video to them. Also, i am converting a bedroom into a studio 10x12 with 8ft ceiling. I am so excited and honored to have found you and Sue Bryce to follow.

    I am so amazed that you achieved these photos with speed lights. The normal photographic protocol is those expensive robust studio lights connected to a reasonably heavy duty power pack. The fact your self-taught is also amazing……from what I have seen of your work…..it kinda ‘Vanity Fair’ magazine type of quality…..and those types of magazines are really fussy!

    • @NicoleCarsonBonilla
      @NicoleCarsonBonilla  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you so much for the feedback! I appreciate it :) I would love to use larger strobes, but I found speedlites provide more than enough light in my home studio and they are so much lighter and convenient to work with and store.

      @@NicoleCarsonBonilla - Just a by the way…..I also watched your video on the making of backdrops, which were quite beautiful (mind you there’s a considerable amount of work involved)…..you could probably make considerable amount of money by solely making (manufacturing) pre-made backdrops for photographers with your signature label included…perhaps. If you haven’t done so already…..probably producing and filming a ‘Nicole Carson Bonilla Masterclass’ wouldn’t go astray. Great work.

    • @NicoleCarsonBonilla
      @NicoleCarsonBonilla  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Nick, thank you so much for the feedback! I bought his entire outfit from Goodwill (my local thriftstore). I selected the warm, brown color scheme to unify the background, props, model and dogs. But I still wanted some variations of brown and different textures to keep it interesting. I should've included that in the video :)

    Really interesting to watch, thank you for sharing your workflow.
    Just one question: the edited images appear to be sharpened in a rather unique fashion (oversharpened to my eyes) - is there a special reason for it, a special kind of printer or something?

    • @NicoleCarsonBonilla
      @NicoleCarsonBonilla  Рік тому +1

      Hello Georg, thank you so much for the support! I really appreciate it :) The sharpening may look exaggerated in the video. I don't typically sharpen more than most.

    Beautiful images and well put together videos. I love your process in explaining things and attention to detail. I am curious to know why you used a DIY doubled diffused baffle with the softbox instead of simply using the already provided baffle? Thank you! 😊

    • @NicoleCarsonBonilla
      @NicoleCarsonBonilla  2 роки тому +1

      Hi David, I'm so glad you like my videos :) I use the extra double layers of fabric in addition to the white layer of diffusion fabric that comes with the softbox. The three layers soften the harsh light of the speedlite creating soft shadows on my model's face.
