Two of my friends worked at our local Apple Store and they were taught: - 10.2 inch iPad is the replacement for people who would've bought the (discontinued) 12" MacBook. It's there to do the basic tasks and you can both use it as a tablet or with the Smart Keyboard. Great for people who use their iPad as their main computer to browse the web, reply to e-mails... (which might make sense, a lot of people need their computers to do much less than what they're capable of, so why not get a €300 iPad instead) - 10.5 inch iPad Air is for the more advanced user, supports more intensive tasks, looks a tad bit sleeker and has the laminated display. - The iPad Pro's are for intensive users, creators, illustrators, ... etc I got the Air because it's what made the most sense in my head. I used a 2nd gen iPad Pro before this, so loved the laminated display. If you haven't used it before, you wouldn't miss it, but the gap would be visible on silver or gold iPad's. I thought I didn't need an iPad anymore, I mainly wanted to take notes. It's crazy how much I've been using this iPad instead of my 16" MBP. I would've never imagined that... Glad I got the Air, it makes sense in my head lol. But also, I'm really happy to still have a home button for certain reasons, and you do get the Pro gestures (on all iPad's btw) if you'd rather use that. So I'm really happy with it. For multitasking, it feels rather small compared to the 12.9" I was used to, but for using it on the couch, it's still rather big (I just wouldn't use the 12.9" iPad there). So I guess the 10.5" is a great compromise, I didn't have to spend an extra €100 on a newer pencil, and it's great to travel with and I only need one cord that charges both my phone and tablet.
Got this iPad in September of 2019. This is still my daily iPad and works perfectly. I use it for watching movies, UA-cam, Zoom meetings, work, and games. It works the same as the iPad Air and the iPad Pro. It just has a smaller screen. It is perfect. Still works like it’s brand new. I’m happy no one thinks this is a bad iPad. To me, it works outstanding if this comment helps anyone that wants to get this.
Lakshmana Smart what? No way... In my memory, they discontinued to support iPad 1 before Iike 2012. And a short time after that, all apps on my iPad 1 became incompatible. How could you use it for anything?
I never considered an ipad of any kind a laoptop or desktop replacement. I like the ipad for entertainment value and taking notes. Also consider even at 10.5 the screen is still too small even the 11 inch.
This is a very compelling proposition for anyone who wants that sweet spot. It's going to be so good for college student and just casual computer users. For me, I've been too spoilt by ProMotion so I simply cannot ever go back. My 2018 is just a dream machine.
TechFeast Yeah but I have a 2016 9.7" Pro I got from my school with only 32 GB of storage. The storage is full now & I'm having a display issue so I need to upgrade my iPad now. But the Air is lacking the quad speakers, a newer camera that Isn't from 2014, ProMotion tech which mine doesn't have either but I like it, the newer design of the Pros, and a X series chip. They could made an A11X chip to be that one step below the A12X chip. I feel like the sweet spot as an upgrade is the 10.5" Pro with 256 GB for me now even though it has the now 2 years old A10X chip. I mean my 9.7" Pro has the A9X chip & I don't find it slow I'm just saying from a future software update perspective
I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.
I think this iPad Air is really creating something that is student friendly. It is creating a more student friendly experience through something that is Apple Pencil compatable (which can be essential to go paperless) and is MUCH more affordable. I’m doing research before my purchase of an iPad Air. I just think this is a more budget friendly option for those of us with not a ton of money, but are hoping to go digital and keep in the ecosystem. Thanks for your video!
if you are not using as desing works or doing heavy stuff with ipad pro 10.5 is better engine and the hardware is still decent moreover 120 mhz and 4 speakers makes even better
It might sound weird to people who are physically healthy... My mother, a H.O.D. Professor Zoologist, lost her eye sight suddenly in both eyes while at work... With harsh medical treatment we could bring 50-70% of her vision back BUT she can not read books anymore nor can take pictures from small screen... Sorry but just trying to get a word through to all people boasting about how "dumb" it is to shoot from a tab... Well some have reasons...
However it started at $849 in Australia for the base wifi only model while the Wifi only 256gb model costs $999 though that price is to mainly compensate for the exchange rate between the US and Australian dollars and to also cover shipping costs! :)

Great review. Just a quick note, at 2:22 you mention that the 18W power adapter only comes with iPad Pros. That’s only partially right, and just to clarify so people know, the 2017 iPad Pro 10.5”, which is what this new iPad Air is based upon, also came with the same 12W power adapter. The 18W power brick is exclusive to the 12.9” iPad Pros because, shortly after the first one came out in 2015, users complained that charging of that iPad was too slow with the 12W brick. That was also when apple released the USB-C power brick sold separately.
I'm watching this on my iPad Air 2 that I bought on December 2014!! It still works perfectly!! Although battery life is less. But I'm still happy with it!!

I'm very curious about the durability and "bend test" of the new iPad Air 3. The iPad Pro that came out in December seemed to be very fragile from the reviews and videos. I think the iPad mini 5 is nice but a bit small for my use cases. If the iPad Air 3 is not more durable than the iPad Pro 2018 then I will go for the iPad mini 5. Any feedback?

Because in the ages of dinosaurs, you had to sync everything with a mac or pc, and because lightning was new back in 2012, 480mbps was “lightning” fast at the time. But now it’s outdated and slow, and you can just backup from the cloud.

Usually i'm using it to browse internet, Airbnb, check flight tickets, reading and some video editing. Should i buy the ipad air over ipad 6 generation? and add a few hundreds to get the air?
I'm torn between the new base iPad and the Air! I'm a novelist, so I feel that either one would work for me since Scrivener will run fine on each. The 128GB max memory of the iPad is plenty...but 256GB does look better. The laminated screen makes for nicer looking note taking, but you don't miss what you never had do you? I've never had any device with a laminated screen... The difference in screen size is negligeable. The lightning port vs. the type-C...meh. I've used so many micro USB devices for years that I never think about extreme first world worries like that. The biggest question in my mind is how long will Apple ultimately support the A10 chip? I figure the A12 would be supported longer, but is there information on this anywhere? How do you know how long a device will get updates?
Hi I bought an iPad Air 3 the colour seems off , how can i fix it ? The colour on my iPad Pro is bright and white and the iPad Air 3 seems yellow and dull .
Depends. If you are going to watch some youtube and netflix and some gaming, get the ipad mini 5. If you are goign to take notes and edit some videos + things ipad mini can do, get the new ipad air. I recommend you to get the ipad mini since it packs some serious performance in a cheap price and apple pencil support.

Your voice is so calm, I can't get over it
does ipad air 3 come with anti-reflective screen ?
Prince Verma yea it does
Is it 120hz
Is it just me or I got the 10 watt adapter with mine and not the 12 watt one ?
Same
is no one gonna talk about how he holds an ipad like that
HULK HANDS!!!!!!
mans vibe checked the thing
When is that photo shop app coming out for iPad?
Robin Ink we don’t know yet
Hi I bought an iPad Air 3 the colour seems off , how can i fix it ? The colour on my iPad Pro is bright and white and the iPad Air 3 seems yellow and dull .
ipad mini 5 or ipad air 3 ? what should i get?
@@ringoo34 i've got an ipad mini , thanks mate
dukki 👍🏻👍🏻
In India, you can buy almost 2 iPad 6th generation for the price of one iPad Air 3.
Shubham Gupta English yes, perhaps India was only country where Apple increased the prices of iPad Pro 10.5 just after the release of iPad Pro 2018. It seems Apple don’t want to sell these iPads in India.
Well not everyone lives in India, so.
the new ipad air 3 has not released In India yet . It will be released on 12th April the price will be 44900 (expected)

I'm still using my iPad Air 2 now , it's so useable . I wasn't thinking of a new iPad yet .
Using the LTE model with a Logitech Slim Folio as a laptop alternative. I hardly use my MacBook Pro nowadays. It’s good. Really, really, really good.
This was a great review
Buy 2017 - 10,5 pro instead

World runs with tech Amazon
