Also wanted to say that your production data that you posted on MBworld is super cool! I didn’t realize how rare premium leather was for US market 38/2077 cars. I have the 801a premium black on my Canadian model.
Thank you for the kind words good sir! I've seen quite a few of your videos over the years and have been impressed with the level of depth you go to. For Mercedes, I actually have a more complete database that I'm working on packaging into a web app. I can send you a link once it's done if you're interested. Any chance you're going to Monterey Car Week btw?
I just picked up a 2010 E63 with 90k miles, very well taken care of. Previous owner took it to Mercedes for all service. I know with a car of this many miles there are things that will need taken care of, but for the price I'm willing to do that for this great motor. Best part, it was only $20k! Talk about a lot of car for the money. I love that blue! These cars still look amazing, no one ever says it looks out dated, and I take it to local car shows and cruises regularly.
I came to visit San Francisco today and noticed a blue E63 with newer E63 rims and had to do a U turn haha can’t believe I bumped into your car. Camera doesn’t do it justice!!
This Color is Beautiful! I own a 2011 e63 since 2019 and it’s my daily since then. No major issues just regular maintenance so it’s a fun quick and reliable super sedan!
Great review I just picked up one in FL a few months ago and I Love it...qq what's the database website you mentioned that listed every model of this one made?
7,200 rpm is the rev limiter not 6,500. Other than that fair comment. I also disagree with yoir transmission opinion. I think the transmission suits the car and the chassis. Also owned tje e39 m5. Also thr e55 m113k. Without doubt the m156 is the most aggressive and free reving engine of them all. Im also not a fan of your rear light clusters. But each to there own. Lovely car all the same. Out of curiosity have you had any exhaust work done to the vehicle?
Nice! These are great cars and I'm still as happy with it as the day I bought it. Idk what experience you've had but I've found it to have been remarkably easy to maintain thus far. As for the apple carplay module, I got the Kremersino one. At $250 it's pretty inexpensive and I have had zero issues with it and there's absolutely no cutting/splicing involved. The only issue is that it was a pain to install bc there's not really any empty space under the dashboard to physically place the module. I ended up jamming it behind the carpet on the side of the transmission tunnel in the passenger footwell but it took some effort.
Thanks for the tips will check it out! Mines been great, had it for almost two years and its the daily driver. I have done about 25K km in the time and just the regular oil changes and A & B service. Nothing to much for now!
What a beauty! Nice find. It's really a pleasure to drive the 2011 E63 - one of my favourite AMGs of all.
