    That is one beautiful, beautiful motor! All hard lined which makes AN with the best custom hoses look silly compared to this. Some people have issue with Nelson, but let me tell you, the attention to detail and all the R&D he does is amazing. Yes, and expensive. Would I pay 60K personally? No, I'd buy the parts and assemble myself and tune it on a dyno.

    @hackman03 Some ECU's in newer cars will advance spark timing for better power. This is not to say they are adding power but that they are pulling it back for different grades of fuel.

    I like this camaro. My question is what is this thing following the rear bumper in some racing cars. Kind of wires ended with small wheels. I saw also another thing following the rear bumper of camaro F-Bomb that looked like a kind of small box with a pipe comming in the car. What is this all staff for ?

    @HaleFire7 dude, i was only stating what ive found out by running it my car. I said that from a stand point of how the car ran with regular gas and then running with racefuel. running 87 octane it almost feels kinda sluggish to me and then i put 93 in it and the acceleration is better and over it runs great. But when i put 110 in it, to me "my opinion if i'm wrong its my fault" it feels like a huge difference to me. The reasoning behind what im saying is like with this nelson motor.

    @hackman03 ..Ya that would be a good build...if you have a problem running boost through the carb like i did, there is a place called csu out of california that preps your carb to see boost...idk how much boost your going to run or if you already knew about it just a fyi...i am running 22 pounds through mine without a prob, once time the wasted gate line came off and it seen 50 pounds for a pull lol the carb was ok but the motor didnt like that much haha...very spendy accident

  • @LiLJankie
    @LiLJankie 14 років тому

    @hackman03.....ya burning more fuel but its also cheaper and you can run more boost being that the methanol burns cooler...with a boosted motor timing is the way you keep motors together. Less timing as the boost goes up and good fuel as well....but no race gas or any gas for that matter wont do any noticable preformance for a stock motor....i am talking about a boosted motor, timing and fuel is everything for making power and keeping it reliable

    Only problem with sending that car to Denmark is that by the time the engine hits red-line they wlll be in another country ..
    Joking aside , that combination in the engine bay would be nice in a modern camaro
    say a 2011 with a V-6 to start with .
    Nice work

    They don't on the street. That's why they fry the tires off in all these NRE videos. Now, put some slicks on at the strip where they put down an adhesive traction compound, that's a different story.

    • @deafyboy86
      @deafyboy86 8 років тому

      Don Bossco Joe He builds the cars, he would have to road test them anyway, plus rather go flat out a few times on a test drive, and if anything breaks they can go back and fix it. I would call it more a run in/test drive.

    • @donrosscojoe5014
      @donrosscojoe5014 8 років тому

      +deafyboy86 Ok I was wrong, he doesn't just get to thrash an endless selection of amazing 700-2500hp cars but........ he has to do it as part of his job/business, sorry my mistake I will correct myself....

  • @indybane
    @indybane 11 років тому

    I know I'll regret asking this, but... How much would one of those crate engines w/ the twin turbos set a guy back? And any chance it could be wedged into an '03 Blazer 4x4 (ZR2), has a 4.3l in it now... Seems that would be a noticeable upgrade... :D

  • @StabyMcStabsFace
    @StabyMcStabsFace 13 років тому

    @maddog872 Except for horsepower. Horsepower is the replacement for displacement. Displacement is nice, but RPM and Boost is what makes things go. This car only helps to back that up; there are plenty of 572s and 632s that wish they could match turbo small block power.

    These videos are impressive with their mile long burnouts and what not, but I have never seen one make a fast drag pass. Freibergers F bomb has a nelson engine with 1500 hp, and it might have broke into the 8s, can't remember. It should be bottom 8s at worst, but Dave's got toe fungus..

  • @yonihales9133
    @yonihales9133 5 років тому

    You can burn out tires as well as not take turns fast in that car with WAY less HP.....On pump gas and no turbo..
    Is a 75 mph punch (as long as theres any kind of curve much less some what of a turn )realy worth it.
    Seems like the ultimate waste.
    Seing that 300 HP is plenty in an antiquated although good looking dionasar.

And an '05 Ninja ZX-6RR and '11 ZX-10R ABS... See, I bet if you guys really tried you could get a 572 crate engine on that 6RR chassis!
