    POLITICAL THEATER PERFORMANCES
    The Democrat and Republican, so-called, political parties. Playing the good cop, bad cop political theater game, knowing that people, still in 2024, thinks they are DIFFERENT. They just switch roles, on who will play the bad cop. The system stays the same, all meant to benefit the wealthy oligarchs running the show. Personality changes, isn't system change. The common people will continue to suffer.

    Tariffs build a strong economy. If you don't protect your industry, you soon will have none.

    • @EdCamilo-x1h
      @EdCamilo-x1h Місяць тому +6

      True. But first build your industry. Otherwise you'll face shortages and inflation. So, RE- -industrialization has to be done in a balanced and smart manner.

      I also hope Trump raises the standard deduction when filing income taxes to over $20000 if not higher. This will help a lot of people on the lower end of the income scale.

      I don't think America has industry. Did you miss it when we shipped thousands of factories to China and other places. Therefore this tariff policy doesn't make much sense.

      @@Jim_Harwood That happened when wall street was allowed to naked short stocks and tariffs were reduced to next to nothing. Raise tariffs and factories will return.

      @@knswartz1 I wouldn't rely on private enterprise. Tariffs don't jut build industries you need an intention an idea of what you want the future to look like and over the past 60 years we see what future the oligarchy wants for us. I would bet on Wall Street creating "tariff futures" before they reindustrialize the United States

      @@JustMe-m8w good point. Trump should open the gates to the White House front lawn and allow his supporters to become his honor guards..
      It would be great if decent citizens could bring their kids and other loved ones to hang out in the front yard of the White House. And, barbecue, exchange ideas, speak their minds in an open microphone, meet the president when possible, recite some poems, sing a song, and have a good clean fun.

    Tariffs is necessary to buy time for domestic industries to innovate, improve the quality of products and achieve economy of scales. If the legacy auto manufacturers keep doing what they have been doing, then tariffs would just prolong the death of that industry. Consumers would simply pay more on inferior products, old technology at high prices. Before blaming China, first admit that US de-industrialize starting in the 1980'. China did not put a gun on Steve Job's head to move manufacturing to China. Likewise, China did not force Costco to buy stuffs from China. We must ask ourselves tough questions and demand answers and actions. Inflation is an America and EU self generated problem. Tariff has become a tax revenue source for the government in the name of protecting our domestic industries. We can learn a thing or two from other countries.

      This is true if it were the time of Abe Lincoln but the USA at one time had the highest levels of productivity in the world. We had the highest level of infrastructure and modern production plants not to mention ample supply of energy. There are no nascent industries requiring protection by use of tariffs. Are you people stupid?

      Watch some of the videos on my LaRouche and China playlist. Helga and Lyndon were in a constant dialog with the Chinese from the early 1990's reintroducing the policies of Sun yat Sen and the Alexander Hamilton tradition of the American System which the Chinese have modified to an extent to fit their ancient culture. Just as the Germans did under Bismark and the Japanese under the Meiji restoration, China rapidly transitioned away from cheap labor export orientation.

      @@stevesither7270 If Gottfried Leibniz can see the similarity in the cultural outlook of Confucianism and Christianity as far back as the 17th century and Ben Franklin praise their culture of civil service meritocracy, perhaps you've been listening to too many British faggots. The exams were extremely difficult and covered a wide range of subjects, including Confucian classics, law, government, and oratory. The exams were held at multiple levels, with candidates taking local exams first, then regional exams, and finally a national exam. The exams provided a major outlet for social mobility in Chinese society, allowing young men from any class to join the educated elite. This was the system they used for 2,000 years.
