I think Mushfiqur Rahim would've been a great option for WK-Batter here. Averages 40 in 5 Test Matches in India, 400 Runs scored, High of 127, 1 Century, 2 50's. Can be flexible to bat anywhere from 4-8 (he usually bats pretty well with the lower order/tail).
Weird how Hashim Amla doesn’t even get a mention Also I’d pick Anderson over Cummins for the contributions he made in England wins in India. Game changing spells in Eden Gardens 2012 and Chepauk 2021.
This was a great idea but a badly done draft. No mention of KP, Amla, Elgar, Imran Tahir. Swann/Kallis/AB not really considered in a way that made sense. I’m glad they picked Pakistani players and didn’t let the politics affect that. However too many other picks were lazy, saying no one does well as a blanket rule and using that as an excuse to pick your favourites is below what I was expecting for this channel. I get it’s meant to be an entertaining video 1st and cricket team 2nd but I was expecting a little more rigour in choosing the players
I don't believe you guys picked Usman over Hashim Amla who averages 62+ in India. It's funny, Jarod picked three Australians and is still teasing Behram for picking two Pakistanis..
Moen ali average is high because of 2016 series. Where England used to score 350 to 480 in first inning and then go on to loose by innings as India will score upward of 600-700.
Cummins over Anderson doesn't really make much sense. Anderson has clearly been the best seamer other than Steyn in India in recent times. Also moeen what was this selection criteria? Can you pick pakistan players if they never played in india, also was it performances since 2013 in India or players who were still active after 2013?
no he is not tim southee has been better than anderson. anderson record is miserable in inida. the best series performance of anderson is 12 wickets in 7 innings. its absurd to ignore tim southee whos has two fifers including a 7 fer in india against a bowler who has not managed to take 1 fifer in 29 innings.
@@ASHISHMISHRA-qd5sz Not sure how you can be so confident southee is a much better bowler in india when they have almost identical averages (29 vs 30). Anderson has almost twice as many wickets in India and was a big reason england won against india in india back in 2012/13. Dhoni even said anderson was the difference between the two sides in a series where he was the only effective seamer.
@@JackBilsby7 tim southee has 2 fifers in 13 innings one of them is a 7 fer. james anderson has played 29 innings has 0 fifer. strike rate of james anderson is 66 while that of southee is 57. its very straight forward. how can you even compare a bowler with 0 fifer against other guy with 2 fifer and at much better strike rate and better average
@@ASHISHMISHRA-qd5sz Ok great he has two fifers but the average is the same at the end of the day. Ask any player who they'd rather not face and it would be Anderson.
@@JackBilsby7 i dont know why you are ignoring basic facts. its like it does not matter to you. you just cant ignore hard facts just because it does not fit into your delusion. again let me make it clear let make it very clear for you: the best bowling performance of james anderson in india is taking 6 wickets across two innings. tim southee has 7 in one innings. tim southee has 2 fifers. anderson has zero. tim southee has an average of 29 james anderson has an average of 30 tim southee takes 57 balls to take one wicket india anderson takes 66 balls to take one wicket. for your knowledge 2 fifer is better than 0 fifer. 7 fer in an innings is better than 6 wickets in a match and strike rate of 57 is far better than 66 . average of 29 is slightly better than average of 30 .
How on earth can you put Yasir Shah on that list?😂 Behram has started losing logic, guess it has got to do with covering Pakistani cricket on ground lol.
Ridiculous to pick Matt Prior or BJ Watling ahead of Mushfiqur, Chandimal or even QdK. Prior didn’t even play in India during this period - a criterion Jarrod emphasised when rejecting the section of Swann. 🫠
The panel broke their own rules just to pick Pakistan players. This selection was based on two criteria 1. Time line was from 2013-2024 2. Has played test series in India But when did Yasir Shah n Younis Khan play a test match in India from 2013? India stopped playing any test n bilateral series against Pakistan after the 2008 Mumbai attack.
the rule wasnt that they shouldve played a series in India during the time line though. yasir shah shouldnt be there but younis khan has a spectacular average in india and vs India so he definitely deserves the spot

umm not to be outrageous but the NZ team of ‘24 that lost to sri lanka could clean sweep them in my opinion
lefthanders not a good idea?? Conway, Latham and Ravindra were a big reason NZ won the series.
Apparently the answer was 2024 New Zealand with santner and Latham
you needed one slot for a random spinner from nowhere, like O'keefe, hartley, kuhneman, bashir

This is a reconstruction of an actual selection meeting of a foreign team. How to end up with 3 off spinners in your 11
Roston Chase would have been a better choice over Mooen, I feel.

and any day southee is better bowler in india than james anderson
Need to fit in Clarke in the team. Excellent vs spin and good left arm spinner

AbD Villers is pretty good option for wicketkeeper too
Unfair to Bairstow. Behram wins this one- he was the only one totally excited about this
I don't believe you guys picked Usman over Hashim Amla who averages 62+ in India. It's funny, Jarod picked three Australians and is still teasing Behram for picking two Pakistanis..
My opener is hashim amla
The best spinner to Indian batters in last 12/14 years has been Monty. He should have been included even if he played just one test in this era
Read your last line, slowly...
Jarrod the number of left handers in your side is way too many
Estelle is back!!

again let me make it clear
let make it very clear for you: the best bowling performance of james anderson in india is taking 6 wickets across two innings. tim southee has 7 in one innings.
tim southee has 2 fifers. anderson has zero.
tim southee has an average of 29 james anderson has an average of 30
tim southee takes 57 balls to take one wicket india anderson takes 66 balls to take one wicket.
for your knowledge 2 fifer is better than 0 fifer.
7 fer in an innings is better than 6 wickets in a match

average of 29 is slightly better than average of 30 .
Kane Williamson should have been in this list. Its a travesty he is not in the list
He's only played 3 tests in India since 2013 and averaged under 30. His best scores in India came in 2010 and 2012, before England's series win.

absurd selection. they did not even mention tim southee while they were talking in detail about anderson
