nah, lag reset is more like ghost touch, but ghost flip reset, when game, due to ping delay, thinks that you get reset, so you can dodge, but then after this millisec delay he gets answer from server that you actually didn't get the reset, and game tries to undo your flip and it looks little bit similar to this, but it is actually dodging into the ball without changing his falling direction at all, this is why you can do it only when the ball is falling. 6:52 This actually uses the mechanic dubbed the ‘Heljump’ discovered by Helvetia Gaming. So basically the front wheels touch the ground and kind of glitch into the ground, then the back wheels touch the ground ever so slightly enabling the user to get another flip. All together, at first he wavedashes then does a forward flip cancel, does a Heljump which makes him get another flip and uses that for a very fast flip cancel, propelling the ball really fast into the goal. I hope this helped! :D
I found a weird mechanic but don’t have it clipped it was like that stomp I jumped on top of the ball at the perfect time got the flip reset and backflipped then the ball sped up around 100kph
Basically @FLuuMP how that "era flick" is done is that he simply forward no-flipps into the ground (doing a front flip but cancelling it by holding his left analogue stick down straight away), and since he has done a no-flip his car does't rotate the full amount, so he can then just let go of his left anoalogue stick or push it back up, releasing his dodge with the momentum of the dodge still there. It's not that he is getting another dodge by letting his back wheels touch the ground again, he is just using the momentum from his dodge later than a normal flip, the best way of looking at it is that it's just a delay in the flick/dodge. Hope that cleared it up. great vid dude
Idk fluump, there used to be this thing where people made fun of u for the videos (eg videos fluump wishes he thought of first) but alas u r really poppin out some legit content over the past couple months, cheers!
I think what's happening when you "ball dash" is you just flip resetting a TON of times, because the ball bounces slower off of the wheels it allows you to get multiple resets in one (sort of) touch. So basically you're flip resetting while right under the ball, and by doing that you are bouncing off the ball instead of the ball bouncing off of you (again because the ball bounces softer off your wheels) and letting you jump into the ball, creating the "ball dash".
You’re “wavedash on the ball” was just you being right next to the ball and getting multiple quick flip resets. Your car had such little space between the ball that it kept getting all 4 wheels on the ball and barely pushing your car off of the ball. The position of your car, how slow the ball is going, and how fast you flip back into the ball all has to be perfect so thats why it rarely happens. It would be cool to see flip reset freestylers practice this technique to hopefully get a handful of these before shooting the ball. After watching this, I believe it can be done.
@@baljeettjinder496 We should be promoting detailed explanations, not discouraging them. Some people are genuinely interested in how it's actually being done, and these details may help spark other conversations, whether in agreement or not. This offers opportunities of discussion for people to figure out what it is and how it's done- I honestly don't understand why you want someone to, specifically, not discuss it. Even Fluump wanted to hear the thoughts of others.
also the downforce from holding throttle makes this move possible. when you jump your car is pulled the nearest surface which is the ball at the time(while holding throttle of course)
@@arke3160 I heard somewhere, though I can't recall where, that holding throttle will actually push the ball further from the car than if you were to not hold in. I do know I heard this from a pro. That doesn't mean they're right or anything, but I just can't remember who. I also can't confirm whether this is true.
Fluump I turned it to 0.25 speed on the wavedash on the ball thing and the way it works is the same as the wall dashing. How it works is you jump but super quickly flip forwards, like you would with a normal wavedash except without the wait for the jump
@@rho-kun4789 not really, who thought wall dashing would ever be a thing? if someone said that a year ago you would have said the same thing. In all seriousness though, pretty sure it's not multi flip resets.. as most are saying it's probably lag resets, server doesn't recognize the reset but client side does and it just goes haywire
When you wavedash on any surface in rocket league it results in a force acting on the car pulling it to the surface flat but when you are upside down the gravity physics pull you away, the ball and your car were aligned perfectly so that you could wavedash against the ball and have gravity pull you down AND THEN do it again. Very very precise mechanics but the elite of the elite players will be able to do things like this on command. I hope this helped explain your clip Fluump, love the videos man ❤️
The Ball Dash is actually a lot of flip resets at once. If you hold powerslide, right air roll, dodge left, and get a flip reset quick enough to stall cancel under the ball, it will look like 5 flip resets at once.
When doing the "Era Flick", she just dodge forward, then, when it hits the boal, the back wheals, touche the floor it just do a lil "hell Jump" but, she dodge forward realy fast....it is that way
He basically cancels his flip, kind of like a no flip, but then just before the flip would normally end he then pushes his stick up again to continue the flip and that is what pops the ball up like that
I’ve hit those kind of resets before. I look at it as, if you’re in the right position relative to the ball, and you just spam press jump, you jump off the ball and while you still have the flip for like 2.5 seconds you wave dash back onto the ball, and however long you’re in the right position and spamming jump you can do this.
I'm still yet to have seen anyone perform a *Clean Flip* _a type of speed flip,_ perhaps I'll have to upload it myself. Explanation of how to execute a clean flip bellow... So a Clean Flip is essentially a delayed diagonal dodge that allows you to dodge faster somehow. - you perform a clean flip by first initiating a diagonal dodge - then whilst holding down air-roll cancelling/delaying the dodge - by rolling the analog stick around from your starting position at either the left or right forward diagonal dodge position's (still holding air-roll) - moving the stick in a rotary fashion around the edged of the housing containing the analog stick (still holding air-roll) - to the opposing diagonal dodge position (letting go of air-roll) - if starting from the forward LEFT diagonal dodge position (10:00 o'clock), rotate the stick 240° counter-clockwise to the 02:00 o'clock position - if starting from the forward RIGHT diagonal dodge position (02:00 o'clock), rotate the stick 240° clockwise to 10:00 o'clock position In summery, you should be initiating a diagonal dodge, then rolling the stick *DOWN* and *AROUND* the molding of the thumb-stick housing 240° to the opposing diagonal dodge position. You should focus on practicing timing when perform this dodge, as it is relatively easy to perform the stick motions, but may still require some adjustment's to figure out the correct *TIMING* It is important that you have both good timing performing the dodge, (not rushing and clipping the ground) and that you move the stick smoothly and not too quickly. Lastly, if you're over-rolling, you may need to simply let go of air-roll to settle into a flat position upon landing.
FLuuMP, it's called a double wavedash, where you flip into the ground like a wavedash, but it's slightly Late so you come out of it still flipping, and then flip again.
I have actually done a sting pop while in a freestyle 1v1 in casual. I was freestyling and was trying to go for a pogo. I landed in a turtle and flipped, popping my car up so that I could continue to air dribble past the defender. A pretty insane shot for a champ 1 player!
For the era flick thing, I think what’s happening is he’s doing a wavedash into the ground, cancelling it, but then he un-cancels it, creating a lot of force. Also for the ball wavedash, you get your flip reset on the ball, but since the ball isn’t stationary, it moves away from your car. So when you wavedash on it, it moves away from your car.
On the car explosions, if you waych a goal replay, that same lightning bolt that happens when you leave is actually what replaces an explosion, which would lead me to believe that they have the same effect on the ball

Once training flip resets I did this Ball dash like 5 times in a row, and I had never saw someone doing the same, but I just left this aside and continued training.
@FLuuMP 5. The Era Flick. The era flick I believe was pulled off by dodging into the ground, not letting the car do a full flip, but in rocket league it will always complete a flip no matter what, therefor from the initial dodge then gives the automatic next dodge giving the flick speed that was done with the ball.
For #3 just hold boost through the landing and pull left stick backwards and your car will begin to tilt nose up from the ground, I do that sometimes during panics. For # 1 it looks like the ball is falling downwards faster than the car based on their way of travel, so the wave-dashing motion is caused by the collision between the ball and the car, cushioned by the wheels, which repeatedly transferred the weight from the ball into the car though the bouncing motion until the car is pushed away.
Ok, for what’s happening in the final mechanic: so the deceleration of the car is high and the ball is accelerate downward by gravity. Imagine a ballon floating down to the ground. Imagine a pebble bouncing repeatedly on that ballon as they both fall. The ballon (the car) accelerates a little downward and the pebble (the RL ball) gets accelerated a little bit upwards (in brief they accelerate apart) upon contact. THEN both are brought back towards each other by 1) the car slowing due to rockets leagues “air resistance” mechanic that gives airborne things a max speed and a deceleration curve. Think of how a ballon slows shortly after tapping it groundward. 2) the ball accelerates down due to gravity meaning (In brief they accelerate together, air resistance here being upward acceleration by the car/balloon) immediately after contact.
Even if RL cars does not decelerate their descent repeatedly like balloons can easily be observed doing when they pass terminal velocity by downward taps, the other similar cause with the same effect for this mechanic to be pulled off, (TLDR IF AIR RESISTANCE NOT THE REASON) is that that the car does not have the same gravity as the ball. It has been proven even if two objects have different mass that they will accelerate in the same gravity at the same speed (think of the an astronaut lightly pushing off of their space ship in orbit. Same gravity, no air resistance; they are not coming back together without interference from a new force/object. (Or the moon drop; the feather and the heavy thing recorded falling at same speed) The only way the ball could catch up the car repeatedly if not by the cars deceleration is by the ball being pulled down faster and the only way this can be true is higher ball gravity than car gravity. The end thanks for listening. (This is worth testing say by dropping both from the ceiling using mods and see if they fall at same speed so not end of case just end of hypothesis)

I think you’re just diagonally flipping into the ball the first two times, and for some reason it didn’t change the ball’s trajectory. I think this is something that will be patched. I could be wrong, but it reminds me of the flip resets you could get when you had spikes on, and that got patched as well.
The wavedash flipreset thing, I can do like 5-8. I did it long ago when I got so frustrated in missing my triple flip resets that I just spammed stall and lol
A lot of these are performed with what Ive dubbed the "lame Jump" which is essentially b-hopping. its a normal jump with the propulsion of a double jump, its sort of a short stubby jump that makes each wheel bounce almost indepentantly unlike a normal jump that requires all four wheels to be on the ground. Basically your wheels turn into really deflated basketballs.
What I thought but the angle is super perfect because ethe ball crams right onto the bottom of his car having both wheels be over the sides and it stops the jump from being normal and pushing the normal distance so it snaps back into another reset I think
As for your new mechanic, it looks like you're stalling so close to the ball that you instantly get another flip, which is then used to stall onto the ball. It would b interesting to see people integrate this into some shots.
OMG I'm in a Fluump video 😊😊😊😊 I'm Coach_Kissy 😊 I have a Roll Reset Tutorial on my channel if you want to learn it!! I did not discover the move, Pertech did, but he OK'd me making a tutorial - links to his stuff is on the video
Interesting question: If the ball somehow went supersonic from an explosion force (demo or something), what trail color would it have? Would it be purple like in free play?
I don't think it's a glitch actually, I think what happens is you flip into the ball in such a way you get another reset instantly, but so fast it's hard to tell, and Fluump here does it like three or four times. That's what it looks like to me, not sure though.
So this “ball wave dash” happened to me as well while in a game of rumble. I had the grapple and I continuously hit it for about 4 seconds and the grapple never cancelled. It was crazy.
*_Era Flick Explained:_* He did a "Failed" wavedash that made his car flip. but since he was so low on Ground-level his car couldn't completly spin around so the game kinda force him to flick. Imagine holding against a wall and then that wall disappears. As you may see is that your Hand as a lot of speed and force. Same thing happens with his front-car. I hope I could open some people eyes with this, Sorry for the "bad" explaination.
Imagine the era flick as a water pump. The moment the wheels touch the ground you shut the pump with a something metalic, and when you do that the water is gonna still be pumping to the metal and its gonna add up, same thing here with the momentum
6:23 (the era flick) currently learning this flick, i've gotten a sense on how it's done and should be able to use it in matches soon once i perfect it :) btw on how it's done, (without the ball) this is done by first jumping then tilting your can back so you nose is to the ground, then level out your car a little then flip forward into the ground, as you do this cancel your flip for about 0.2sec or hold back on the analogue stick the let go right after, your car should bounce back up and do another flip. to do this with the ball its what you did before and your set up should be really close to the front of your car. other than this, this is as far as i've gotten in learning this flick. after about 30-45min i've gotten 3 successful flicks.

Awesome @flump you added the ceiling shuffle one of the most unique and crazy freestyle moves I've seen
Wall wave dash: Done by bots
FLuuMPs wave dash on the ball: done by a bot
xd
so true
dont bully him
why tho
That's just hilarious lol 😂😂 but his last hit it's just a quick flip reset
You’re “wavedash on the ball” was just you being right next to the ball and getting multiple quick flip resets. Your car had such little space between the ball that it kept getting all 4 wheels on the ball and barely pushing your car off of the ball. The position of your car, how slow the ball is going, and how fast you flip back into the ball all has to be perfect so thats why it rarely happens. It would be cool to see flip reset freestylers practice this technique to hopefully get a handful of these before shooting the ball. After watching this, I believe it can be done.
André Medeiros you didn’t need to do an essay on it XD
I've done it before
@@baljeettjinder496 We should be promoting detailed explanations, not discouraging them.
I like your videos far more than any other content creators!
Fluump I turned it to 0.25 speed on the wavedash on the ball thing and the way it works is the same as the wall dashing. How it works is you jump but super quickly flip forwards, like you would with a normal wavedash except without the wait for the jump
I turned on notifications and didn’t even lose a ranked match. So trust me, it works

The last one, I said on Twitter that you're probably flipping into the ball, therefore getting multiple rapid resets
honestly one of the dumbest things I heard ngl
I hope this helped explain your clip Fluump, love the videos man ❤️
@basiics
The Ball Dash is actually a lot of flip resets at once. If you hold powerslide, right air roll, dodge left, and get a flip reset quick enough to stall cancel under the ball, it will look like 5 flip resets at once.

When doing the "Era Flick", she just dodge forward, then, when it hits the boal, the back wheals, touche the floor it just do a lil "hell Jump" but, she dodge forward realy fast....it is that way
love your vids fluump. i cant play RL since i cant afford a ps anymore but i still watch vids and cheer for you man
He basically cancels his flip, kind of like a no flip, but then just before the flip would normally end he then pushes his stick up again to continue the flip and that is what pops the ball up like that
I've done that ball wave dash on accident before, I thought it was due to in game lag, but I'm not sure.
"Playing splitscreen with himself" *lonley noises*
I’ve hit those kind of resets before. I look at it as, if you’re in the right position relative to the ball, and you just spam press jump, you jump off the ball and while you still have the flip for like 2.5 seconds you wave dash back onto the ball, and however long you’re in the right position and spamming jump you can do this.
That I the craziest thing I have ever seen in rocket league the one discovered by pnut and you. It was truly amazing though.

Hel jump, you're welcome.

- you perform a clean flip by first initiating a diagonal dodge
- then whilst holding down air-roll cancelling/delaying the dodge
- by rolling the analog stick around from your starting position at either the left or right forward diagonal dodge position's (still holding air-roll)
- moving the stick in a rotary fashion around the edged of the housing containing the analog stick
(still holding air-roll)
- to the opposing diagonal dodge position (letting go of air-roll)
- if starting from the forward LEFT diagonal dodge position (10:00 o'clock), rotate the stick 240° counter-clockwise to the 02:00 o'clock position
- if starting from the forward RIGHT diagonal dodge position (02:00 o'clock), rotate the stick 240° clockwise to 10:00 o'clock position
In summery, you should be initiating a diagonal dodge, then rolling the stick *DOWN* and *AROUND* the molding of the thumb-stick housing 240° to the opposing diagonal dodge position. You should focus on practicing timing when perform this dodge, as it is relatively easy to perform the stick motions, but may still require some adjustment's to figure out the correct *TIMING*
It is important that you have both good timing performing the dodge, (not rushing and clipping the ground) and that you move the stick smoothly and not too quickly. Lastly, if you're over-rolling, you may need to simply let go of air-roll to settle into a flat position upon landing.
thx mate
@@phyxiusrl1687 I've posted a demonstration on my channel.

FLuuMP, it's called a double wavedash, where you flip into the ground like a wavedash, but it's slightly
Late so you come out of it still flipping, and then flip again.
I have actually done a sting pop while in a freestyle 1v1 in casual. I was freestyling and was trying to go for a pogo. I landed in a turtle and flipped, popping my car up so that I could continue to air dribble past the defender. A pretty insane shot for a champ 1 player!
Imagine if someone did a road to GC playing split screen where they play both cars and 1 controller
Did you just double upload :O
For the era flick thing, I think what’s happening is he’s doing a wavedash into the ground, cancelling it, but then he un-cancels it, creating a lot of force.
Also for the ball wavedash, you get your flip reset on the ball, but since the ball isn’t stationary, it moves away from your car. So when you wavedash on it, it moves away from your car.
Subbed because of your nice speech in the beginning!
2:30 FluuMP didn't even leave the link to the first mechanic in the description lmao.
Lol I was gonna comment that
9:45 When I was learning to flip reset that actually happened a lot to me
Same
I've only done it once and that was the only time I scored a triple reset
On the car explosions, if you waych a goal replay, that same lightning bolt that happens when you leave is actually what replaces an explosion, which would lead me to believe that they have the same effect on the ball

@FLuuMP
That air flick. I did it once by accident in training and have footage of it
Sometimes I feel myself like a GC seeing Fluump's air control lmao 😂
But you're not tho huh
(Or the moon drop; the feather and the heavy thing recorded falling at same speed)
The only way the ball could catch up the car repeatedly if not by the cars deceleration is by the ball being pulled down faster and the only way this can be true is higher ball gravity than car gravity. The end thanks for listening. (This is worth testing say by dropping both from the ceiling using mods and see if they fall at same speed so not end of case just end of hypothesis)
im new to the game but have been pouring over mechanic videos to get better and dumping all my freetime into getting my basics perfect but i do watch allot of videos on how to do upper level mechanics and it really does look like you wake dashed on the ball 3 times before it hit the wall even slo mo on the video to get what your doing when you do it and the one time i tried to ball reset it did tht to me so i think pro players or good freestylers could have a hayday with tht move the upside-down thing and the ceiling thing def gonna look at more of your videos trying to get better been playing a month and im at gold so i feel like im doing well but i need to figure out how to do better at my core mechanics to be competitive will sub great content i will check out your videos as well to try to up my game i wanna win more tournys i just got my first w and am so stoked
6:50 Hes just letting go of his flip cancel. I do this in training all the time

I’ve been using one of your training packs and holy... I’ve improved so much
I think you’re just diagonally flipping into the ball the first two times, and for some reason it didn’t change the ball’s trajectory.

I’ll call flumes mechanic “the ball suck”
edit just realized this is pretty whack for a name
😳😳😳😳😳😳
10:24 it’s just flip resets
What I thought but the angle is super perfect because ethe ball crams right onto the bottom of his car having both wheels be over the sides and it stops the jump from being normal and pushing the normal distance so it snaps back into another reset I think
I’ve actually never seen that before, but the slow motion helps a lot, it looks like your wave dashing back onto the ball twice.
As for your new mechanic, it looks like you're stalling so close to the ball that you instantly get another flip, which is then used to stall onto the ball. It would b interesting to see people integrate this into some shots.
OMG I'm in a Fluump video 😊😊😊😊 I'm Coach_Kissy 😊

Interesting question:
If the ball somehow went supersonic from an explosion force (demo or something), what trail color would it have? Would it be purple like in free play?
"" The helli jump ""
....
Yeah I've never heard someone mistake hel jump for heli jump. Ur car never does a heli spin during this tech, so idk how u could get this so wrong
The last one is just a weird glitch that happens a lot trying to flip reset.
I don't think it's a glitch actually, I think what happens is you flip into the ball in such a way you get another reset instantly, but so fast it's hard to tell, and Fluump here does it like three or four times. That's what it looks like to me, not sure though.
Thijs Dockhorn nah, because i just press jump only 1 time and it looks like that the car jumps 4 times.
Videos r ok haven’t rlly watched very many but I subscribed so good luck and hope u get in race to 1 mil
So this “ball wave dash” happened to me as well while in a game of rumble. I had the grapple and I continuously hit it for about 4 seconds and the grapple never cancelled. It was crazy.
*Warning:* There is no point to watch until the end, it’s just a square space advertisement...
After doing a 2 minutes beg intro. Ugly.
He actually holds drift, and noflips then u just let go the stick, its really ez
@@Maktuf that was option 2 I had in mind ye. Both worked the same way for me
Imagine the era flick as a water pump. The moment the wheels touch the ground you shut the pump with a something metalic, and when you do that the water is gonna still be pumping to the metal and its gonna add up, same thing here with the momentum
6:23 (the era flick) currently learning this flick, i've gotten a sense on how it's done and should be able to use it in matches soon once i perfect it :)
btw on how it's done, (without the ball) this is done by first jumping then tilting your can back so you nose is to the ground, then level out your car a little then flip forward into the ground, as you do this cancel your flip for about 0.2sec or hold back on the analogue stick the let go right after, your car should bounce back up and do another flip. to do this with the ball its what you did before and your set up should be really close to the front of your car.
other than this, this is as far as i've gotten in learning this flick. after about 30-45min i've gotten 3 successful flicks.
