As a fast talker myself, I feel the pain and indignation you must feel when others tell you to slow down, but oh wow, what a difference it makes in videos! I like it! Hope it isn’t too much of a strain on you tho! Also I love how you magically change clothes between two different frames while talking about the same laptop such as the AW X14 R2 lol😊
I am using its bigger brother - the 16 inch Legion Slim 5. What a powerhouse in a (somewhat) portable package. My only gripe with the 14 inch (and why I chose 16 inch instead) is the non-upgradeable RAM, but otherwise it is near perfect.
Great video, guys, thanks! I'm a 2024 G14 user, and I agree that it often feels warm, though in my own user experience I have to say that this only happens when I have it connected to the adapter. On battery it rarely feels warm to the touch, if ever.
I remember your review on Legion 14 Oled helped me decide to purchase it. It really is as awesome portable gaming laptop. I only use it in quiet mode and I can play Warzone with custom settings at stable 80 FPS 1440P resolution. Even in quiet mode the fans kick in but is confortable enough with earphones. Keep up the good reviews. I wonder how next years with RTX 5000 it will be for small Oled gaming Laptops
I bought an Asus G14 it was absolutely amazing it felt amazing and played games pretty well on high settings at native screen res. Personally I needed up returning it not because it had any issues it just wasnt worth the 2k I spend on it if it goes on sale it would definitely be worth it.
Love watching these videos! Just binged a fair few of them in a couple of days heh. I was wondering whether you would ever do a video on best laptops for creatives (artists, video editors, etc) both pen compatible and non-pen compatible? I'm really interested in seeing what's out there and what's coming out, as someone who in the best circumstance may be getting a new laptop mid-next year
Great timing. I have a 17" Maingear Vector with a 3070, used to think the bigger screen is key, but lugging it around as I travel quickly became a pain. Looking for a good laptop for travel and 14" seems the best.
Great content as well and I really liked the way you compared all the different aspects. One suggestion, while reviewing or comparing Laptops, please do mention advance port availability as well, like Thunderbolt 3 / Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 ports. Availability of those ports sometimes really make difference for buying options as they can offer great peripheral supports like multiple displays, high speed external storages and even a eGPU dock which can extend the lifespan of the laptop. People already having a Thunderbolt or USB4 setup, availability of that port may be a major deciding factor.
4:03 that’s my favorite moment on the channel 😂 Asus TUF A14 seems to be a great laptop! I actually planned to buy one for video editing, but did end up going with a MacBook Pro 14 M4 😅
Guys you missed the Acer Triton 14 with the 13700H 75Wh battery 32gb 6000mhz 4070 at 105w and it's gorgeous bright miniLED display along with its per key rgb. Been rocking it since August last year. Superb little power house. Forgot to mention it has a magnesium body build that gives off a very industrial stealthy design.
8:51 so you praise this Acer because it has "upgradeable RAM up to 32 GB", but you didn't mention a single thing a bit earlier about the Blade 14 which has two free slots and it can go up to 96 GB, you only said "It comes with only 16 GB of RAM.", hm. Then at 9:49 you say how the Transcend 14 has less fan noise than any other laptop on the list but it also has only 65W TGP, meanwhile the previously mentioned Blade 14 has 140W TGP (FAR MORE than any other included laptop) and it's just 2 dB louder. You are starting to miss a lot of small but important details lately which paint a better/full picture, such as those two, not sure what is going on exactly with this channel but the quality is dropping at fast pace, sadly. And of course, as expected, Asus is somehow always the most recommended one lately, like Asus is a title sponsor of this channel. Meh. Edit: And your recommended TUF is quite literally twisting around IN YOUR OWN FOOTAGE, like its chassis was made of molten chocolate. If the title and the theme of this video was "Fastest 14-Inch Gaming Laptops" then yeah, ok. But to be the best there is more than just pure raw performance, it's to get the best balance of everything, not to be 100% in one category and 40% in all others. Having such weak chassis and being priced at $1,400 is actually pure comedy at its finest but that's still THE BEST for you and your channel. No comment.
Comments like yours are very important. Even though they are critical. Overall, we are striving to be more detailed and thorough than most channels out there. If we didn't call out the Blade's upgradeable, then we should have. I think we were fair with the Transcend, we did really hammer home its low wattage GPU. The issue with the Blade is that for many gamers, it is just less comfortable to game on than other alternatives like the Predatore Helios Neo 14. Re Asus, I'm going to be straight up here. Asus has had a fantastic year. I would say they are now the 2nd best laptop manufacturer behind Apple. Last year, I would have said that was Lenovo. We are not the only channel to rate them highly this year. Jarrod's Tech also has been rating Asus very highly, for example. When it comes to compensation, they have not paid anything to sponsor us this year. We do have 2 product showcase videos for them around CES... but those deals were arranged well after this video was produced (and all our Asus ones this year). As you know, we do our very best to avoid monetary compensation from laptop manufacturers. I want to ensure we are as unbiased as we possibly can while still being able to be economically viable. With the TUF not sitting flat on a desk, obviously, I was going to immediately exclude it, but we did do our homework to confirm that our model was a one-off. We have had such things with other manufacturers, too, btw. If you notice things we are missing and should have in our videos, definitely add them
I agree ....when it comes to price tuf is better but when it comes to the real all rounder if you have the money , better go with zephyrus g14...and on side note....on a 14 inch laptop, 4050 is insanely good even if has 6gb virtual ram ...ur only concern should be it should have 90w and above...also i believed u shouldnt put legion 5 above zephyrus ...thats like an insult to the tech they use on zephyrus ...those nebula oled 3k screen with 120hz and 3ms response time isnt cheap 😂
I feel one needs to test Zen 4 vs Zen 5 mobile head to head for gaming. I haven't found Zen 5 mobile to crush Zen 4 in games most likely due to the core to core latency (Zen 5 x Zen 5c cores). There are ways to improve this but there needs to be a full indepth video on this.
Quick tip for people who can't afford a gaming laptop: Make your boss believe you need a workstation. I got a Dell precision 3490 with a Nvidia RTX 500. Although nothing near a 4070, It's fine for a casual game or two.
What about Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i 14 2024? Very pretty and premium, especially in Tidal Teal. OLED screen, RTX 4060, up to Intel Ultra 9 Processor and 32GB RAM, great keyboard, one of the best speakers on any Windows laptop. Based on the Yoga Pro 9i 16 reviews I think the 14" version should be one of the best out there.
Should I go with lenevo Legion 5 pro gen 8 2023 which is 2700 or go for proart PX13 which is 3200 cause every other is costly, please give me any insights or which one should I go for. Thanks (preference is 14 but lenevo is giving a lot of discount)

@hdslave ha thats a bummer..no wonder many people went with g14 2024 ...even the screen and speaker is amazing with the 32gb...and the heat this year and last year was a huge improvement ....also its best to remove armory crate and install ghelper...helps way a lot in reducing the temperature and up the performance even more
Great informative video. In my opinion I think she is doing a great job. She seems to take this seriously and very professionally. Really appreciate hearing opinions from other members from your staff. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.
I would've picked the A14 but the screen is not looking that good from what I can see on the video, compared to others showcased. I think the Legion (spot 2) would've been the winner if it had that new CPU or at least gen 8 CPU.
Watching this even though I don't need a new laptop. I like my current one a lot even if the battery life is extremely poor (1 hour unplugged). I don't care though since it stays plugged in all the time to my monitor
I quite honestly think strix and lunar lake plenty for gaming in a laptop and would prefer some thunderbolt 4 or 5 external GPU for much else if pressed. Unfortunately 16" dev type OLED laptops with good keyboard and latest chipset are very sparse
