They look a useful machine. It'd make a nice mini-camper conversion.
I've not seen a nice MK1 Doblo in a while! I remember my grandparents having one on a long-term rental for about a year in the mid 2000's and loved it.
Lovely car! For the radio, it will need swapping the yellow and the red leads, always the case with FIATs

I owned a 2007 SX Multijet. I was so useful having twin sliding doors which fewer vans seemed to have at the time. It was reliable, practical and lovely to drive although the JTD is, in my opinion, the better engine option. The Multijet was a tad underpowered and the mpg couldn't match the larger unit.
PS: Ram Promaster City is a rebadged Fiat Doblo sold in the states.

I had a double van for many years and loved it. Just watch out for severe rust on the front strut caps, one of mine was holding on with a thread but it’s an easy fix. If it’s the 1.3 engine listen for rattly engine chain as they tend to stretch, again not a silly job to do other than that it was just normal wear & tear problems as with any vehicle. I sold it with 136k on the clock and the next guy drove it for another 30k WITHOUT SERVICING IT!!!
The steering wheel is atrocious but I fitted an Alfa Romeo Mito leather wheel/air bag and also the Alfa’s alloy wheels and tyres, straight change. Seats are easy to wear out too so in went the Alfa seats too. A proper little sport mobile, a FIAT Doblo Quadrifoglio lol
It only died when he had a huge accident at a junction which wrote it off.
i have a 1.9 doblo, the erg got accidentally unplugged during a service, the engine light came on but the power increased

Love your videos! Love the Doblo. I have a Ram Promaster City Wagon here in Idaho. We bought it new in 2016 and it's been great. No diesel option here just the 2.4 tiger shark multi air four cylinder petrol. Look forward to all your videos and maybe one day you'll make it to the states to do a car spotting trip here. Always welcome in Idaho.

Had around 150k on it when we got it. Desperately needed a water pump and cambelt but we ran out of time to film that before it went off to Jim's friend in Belfast

I had a 2001 Doblo 1.1 petrol but I would never buy another. It's a shame as it was exactly the sort of vehicle I needed but I had constant problems due to the extremely poor build quality. I actually gave it away in the end as I would have felt too guilty about selling it on. It was replaced by a Vauxhall Combo 1.3 CDTi which was a much better vehicle in terms of reliability.
They never made a 1.1 Doblo
@@alsodriven Sorry, I just looked it up and it was a 1.2 SX. It was 15 years ago and my memory is not the best.
