I just bought one yesterday from this 22 yr old college student for $500!! All it needs is 2 front wheel bearings, which are $70 each and the registration and inspection done, which it'll pass. There's no cosmetic damage, beside the back bumper on the bottom corner. I'm gonna put new plugs and wires just to make it run even better but yea, I definitely got a steal here! I have a 2010 GMC terrain with the chrome grill, it'll be $3500 for me to fix her, she's way nicer than the envoy, was thinking about fixing this envoy up and flipping it for $3000, it's only got 112,000 miles.

PLEASE only use the DELCO Irradium plugs! The other plugs do NOT work as well in these engines!

My XL gets 10 city 15 on a long trip, had to change the Alternator, water pump twice and numerous ball joints. Only use the Irenium spark plugs ngk worked better than ac-delco, buy only forged steel rotors or you will lose money.
Don't buy walM badyear viva tires they don't last 13,000 but are rated for 50, Your better off paying more for original parts on these vehicles. I also changed the exhaust manifold and the master window controls that once had a recall but my year wasn't part of the recall even though exactly the same part. This vehicle gets almost a 7 out of 10 .
    2005. XL SLT
    NOW 218,000 MILES ON IT.
STARTING TO RUST BOTTOM OF THE DOOR CREASES. still looks good.

For under 15K? Try under 5K... I found a 2008 XL for $4850 with 78,000 Miles and a perfect carfax report. They are amazing vehicles. My Dad has a 2006 GMC Envoy XL and has it at 218,000 miles. He's never had any work done to it except for a new battery and it runs like it's new.

That's a great price with that few miles, but if it resides in the "snow belt", check out the frame for rust before buying. "Yankee" trailblazers/envoys/colorados have frames that do NOT like the salty north!

Any idea what would be giving me a parasitic battery drain on an 04 XL? I’m at the point where I turn off my radio, AC, and headlights when I park but it’s still too low on power to start after five minutes at the gas station. I bought it used about a month ago and it’s not the battery or the alternator.

Are you sure???? Mine had a bad cell in the battery that caused the same issue. The "counter huggers" at the neighborhood AUTOIDIOT store checked the battery and said it was "OK", but the problem went away after I replaced that dead battery!

I have 2 of them . ..I have a 2004 black XL Long wheel base version like mint condition. ..and I have a 2004 RED:XUV both of them are loaded to the gills with options they both have gray leather seats my black one has the infotainment bose set up and my red one has a sunroof the both have running boards and tinted rain guard pkgs and avs hood lip bug deflectors with full chrome factory 5 star rims both trucks really stand out I constantly get compliments on both trucks I had both of them for around six years and the only thing I have had done was batteries and a couple of fuse relays I had to change out due to my low beam headlights not working the blk one has the 4.2 liter V6 and the red one has the 5.3 liter V8. .. I had a smaller 2006 Denali version and I didn't like it to be honest they are like a whole new different bread of trucks in and out I'm going to keep my xuv as long as I could figuring it's definitely going to be a future classic

Let me also chime in! I have two (2) also an 02' XLT XL version with the inline 4.2 ltr & a recently purchased 05' XLT Denali version with the 5.3v8 of course. The Denali needs engine & trans which is no big deal since both parts are readily available & GM put them in almost everything they had,but the Denali is in excellent shape exterior & interior wise compared to my 02' XL but my 02' has over 276,000 on it & she's still going! Recently just noticed my cats needing to be replaced due to reduced engine power & noticable lack in performance. But the Denali is going to be my new project getting him back in top form with the help of my personal mechanic! Love these SUVs! Wish GM would bring them back even better with the same utility built in!
