I love how Aqua getting in to his feelings and showing a lot of emotion completely “resets” Akane 😂 She can’t keep her AI “imitation” or acting on when he’s being genuine around her.

How all the super natural stuff ties into the entertainment industry is something i never thought about especially with the anime getting into it a bit but I kinda hope it does aswell either way like you said because aka is a good author it will be at least decent. But as iv said before I dont blame you guys for being slightly worried because this show has alot of weird shit and its not typically done well in anime but with aka showing masterfull character writing in kaguya and while mengo doesn't wright im sure she assists in comeing up with ideas, she in scums wish handled weird subject matter in a mature way so both have a postive track record at least to me even if the story takes odd turns ill be willing to let it play out. (Also why i refuse to read this show weekly and just going as volumes release in English because weekly manga syndrome could hit this story hard)

Under extreme pressure from activists from countries like the United States, Japanese censorship laws have become more and more harsh in the 21st century, which is why you don't see underage drinking, etc. in mainstream manga and anime anymore. Like if you compare the Ranma or Urusei Yatsura remakes to their 80's counterparts the sake is suddenly officially not sake, characters boobies don't pop out constantly, etc.
There's a carveout for alcohol usage by minors if it's "presented in a way to educate against its use", so you do see some exploitation media kind of like how American movie studios got around the Hayes Code by making movies like Reefer Madness, but that only works if it's the focus of the story.
Technically Japan still has very strong freedom of speech protections and you can draw whatever you want in manga but you're not allowed to sell it in public stores that minors have access to or advertise it openly. Since Oshi no Ko is in a mainstream publication, despite it being a Seinen magazine, it's still advertised in places that minors can see and sold in stores where minors can purchase it, so it has to follow the new strict rules.

@@Siennamerdein I dont totally agree with that but i can understand your point. The show rely on Akane so much to solve the mystery than Aqua figuring out on his own. I dont read the manga but i think this might be the direction the story going.
