14:39 This is not a spoiler. Just remember that the star eyes are not inherited, or something exclusive to Ai and her children. Otherwise, anyone would assume that Ai and the twins' father are related and well... they are not 😅. The star eyes represent someone's talent, so most likely the person we see dying at the end was some artist, actress or idol.
@@kaiqson yup, Akane can imitate this style, but she doesn't use it every day. Aqua, for example, no longer uses this style, which is why it has faded away.
To me, I consider the "Stars in eyes" is how the author symbolize "Celebrity Pizzazz" or "The Star-Factor" that any top celebrity has. Meaning any great entertainer can have in this show.
the scene where she talkes with her manager? really? i think that is still light, i dont really remember i just thought they should reveal that kinda late
@@blurzzbee She showed her dark star eyes just for a bit while talking about her mother, but you can see her eyes transition to light in the middle of the lie talk, it kinda implies that her light was still fake at that moment.
12:50 remember that the dance part was filmed before the other scenes, so after the double dark staringans happened, every scene has her with those eyes already (which is kinda trippy since we actually see her eyes change every scene lmao, even if the in-universe music video people couldn't see it)
Ai became a mother at the age of 16. So she became pregnant at the age of 15. Himekawa is 3 years old when Ai joins Lalalai and met aqua's and ruby's father. So my dude became a father at 10-11 years old with a 30ish married woman, because it is implied he was a little younger than Ai
Akane knows the body isnt his dad. He told her who Amamiya Gorou was when they were travelling around the place. What Akane assumes is that he's a special person to him. But she probably also knows that he died before Aqua was sentient... Dont ask us manga readers what we really think Akane thought about it xD I dont really understand how she understood all this xD
It's not that she understood something but there's just this something she can't stop thinking about. It's like confusion. The fact that you found something, yet still is bothered.
It's probably more of a instinctual thing, I mean she is from an agency where the Twin's father and mother worked at. She even thought about Aqua's ideal idol in one night .So probably she'll probably nag and connect the dots on this.
Didn't he say that he was looking for his ''friend'' after they visited the hospital and Aqua talked to one of the nurses and then Akane asked him about it the previous episode? Then they went to his ''friend's'' house and then he was looking for his ''dead pet's'' remains. My impression was that she connected the dots between ''pet'' and ''friend'' and probably thought that Aqua assumed his ''friend'' was dead but was allegedly to have stopped working in the hospital and that Aqua simply had a hunch that his ''friend'' died instead.
A fun detail I noticed watching the MV is that Ruby's dark star eyes change between shots. In some shots, she has one white star, while in others she has double dark stars. Implying some shots were taken before and after she found Gorou's corpse.
There are 2 things no one expected: 1. The spanish inquisition. 2. Ruby's dark arc. P.S: Akane doesn't think the doctor is Aqua's father. In a previous episode he literally said "to find the man responsible for my mother's death, my father". Just wanted yo point that out.
8:59 Oh man! The mother of the brother HAD to find a scapegoat father, she was a predator. That double offing is making more and more sense, not that it should have gone that way...but I can see the motivators. That experience probably turned him into who he was today...and not for the better. Not to excuse the mastermind of Ai's murderer, but I can see the twisted puzzle pieces of his past that make up the completed image that he was when he killed her.
Not me thinking maybe Kamiki was just SHORT hahahha because I cannot comprehend how he was able to father Himekawa 4 years earlier than Aqua/Ruby. Kamiki being SA by an adult woman makes total sense. Though from what I read from comments, Kamiki was written as straight up villain and not with a sob story to feel sorry for him. Idk. I prolly need to just read the manga or wait.
14:30 Well, just going to say regarding the After Credit Scene is that the whole part is a lot out of context, as for what ever reason they jumped quite a lot of stuff in-between to showcase it in the Anime (that After Credit part is from Manga chapter 109, but the before ED part is from until Chapter 80/81).
They could not have done this episode more perfectly. As a manga reader this episode is peak and I mean it!!!!! Nah dude, Akane doesn't think it's his dad, in the last episode Aqua said the doctor was his friend. That's all she meant when she said "So he was..." she just meant like oh so that was your friend you were talking about yesterday when we went to the hospital, the house etc.
Aqua talked last episode about how he had the “friend” from the hospital, can’t be too sure what he fully told her but it can be assumed that she thinks the dead person was that “friend” because he talked about how they became a doctor
@9:00 similarly age? We literally saw the pictures of Himekawa's mom and "dad" and they both looked over 40. I mean....I suppose it could've been drugs, but ehhhh.....they looked old man...lol
I mean its the entertainment industry so I wouldn't be surprised with Himekawas mum is just a straight up pedophile. It would also somewhat explain why the dad grew up with so much problems.
I’m gonna break it down since you seem to have pieced it together, the Dad and Ai were similarly aged at around 14-16 when they had the twins, then a couple years before that, the Dad and Himekawa’s Mum (who was pretty sure confirmed to be normal late 20’s early 30’s) had Himekawa when the Dad would’ve been 11-12, so yes, VERY FUCKED IN ALL KINDS OF WAYS! (It was not a fun read for the first time I’ll tell you that much)
Whether you love or hate the father with a passion, it's undeniable that he is easily one of the best characters in the entire story and without him as the main antagonist Oshi No Ko wouldn't be even close to as good as it really is. Everyone leading up to his reveal thought the father must be this typical evil and irredeemable murderer who we shouldn't give his personal story the time of day. The dad completely destroys that idea as he's by far the most complex character, whether people like it or not. There's a reason this guy actually visited Ai's grave with flowers at hand despite being the one responsible for her death. Hyped to see the anime catch up to the manga, and we see the fathers full tale revealed.
All I'll say about the post credit scene is that they showed that scene, and that girl, a lot earlier than in the manga. Like 30 chapters earlier. I'm assuming they've decided to cut out her story for the sake of S3 pacing / for a hook at the end of S2. I hope they will give that girl her proper story though, since I do think it's pretty important for understanding the dad.
I mean, in the final episode of the first season they showed a bunch of unnamed idols talk about watching the new B Komachi perform, but also cut out all the context behind the one that was elaborated on in the manga. So it's certainly not the first time.
The question regarding Aqua loving Akane or not was actually already answered last episode! There's a reason why Aqua is doing this and a whole manga chapter explaining it called "Fixation"! But if you don't wanna know, just wait 'till season 3! :)

It's copium. There's no reason for Aqua to continue dating Akane other than he wanted to. Gratitude and guilt do not require a romantic relationship, they do not require kisses. Akane was breaking up with him, he's the one who pursued her.

6:15 当時大学生くらいの男と中学生くらいの男の子 At that time, there was a man who was about college age and a boy who was about junior high school age. Aka 12 to 15 Ai was 16
So to answer your question Joe (this is a non-spoiler context), She is just another celebrity or popstar. In the manga, before she died it is explained she was going with a guy on a hitchhiking and i think somebody said that people have gone missing based on the news and TADA!
The post credit scene, quick theory, might go into it more in season 3 but in case they did just skip the chapter completely The Dad was walking around with her with his hair tied up and eyes closed seeming like they’re on good terms. They go to a bar, complain about some entertainment industry stuff, the Dad drops the “she has real star potential” or whatever the same line that was said about both Ai and Kana (sure hope that doesn’t mean anything), then they go outside, it is shown that she has the star eyes, confirming its not a family only thing, more of a symbol or “star power”, then she talks about going hiking, he says to watch her step, cuts to what we see in the anime.
You think Akane would put 2 and 2 together and figure out ticking Aqua's trauma trigger is bad after seeing what Kana's no context comment did but then this happens Guess the smartest character has weaknesses after all, I'll keep defending Aqua sees Akane more as a friend than anything else especially since Ruby has that same reaction of easily opening up to her after meeting her finally
I remember when reading the manga, the woman in the end had an entire chapter about her and the father. It seems like they skipped it unless they will animate it eventually.
This is just my theory behind the sparkling star eyes and the dark gloomy eyes effects on this anime For talents, there are basically 2 types 1. Sparkling star eyes - These are the positive talents who are just focused on improving themselves, building positive social circles and getting their fans' attention to make their star(career) sparkle more and shine. More fans are attracted to them as they see them as bright stars in a cloud of darkness sky. You can see those effects happening occasionally when a certain character suddenly changed themselves. The girl who died at the end mostly should be an existing talent with those eyes starting to get popular but sadly got setup by the talent with the dark gloomy eyes who is Aqua and Ruby's father. 2. Dark gloomy eyes - These are the negative talents who are not bothered on getting their fans' support and building good social relationship circles. They only focus to sabotage those talents with sparkling star eyes who tries to outshine them as the only element that can eliminate the darkness is definitely the sparkling light. Guess this explains why Aqua and Ruby's father only decided to kill Ai and the girl in the end just because they started to emit those threatening sparkling star eyes which could threaten his own career. Actually this theory doesn't only applies to this anime. It can also happens in working environments. There will always be 2 types of people in a company working together. The worker who works positively to improve themselves and build positive relationship with their bosses and colleagues to climb to the top of their careers while there's the other type where they just sabotage and backstab their colleagues to climb to the top of their careers
I love how the Kana fans is so desperate they would rather spoil the anime only on future plotline then take the L currently in this season. Let me preface this and say that I dont support either Akane or Kana, or even Ruby for crying out loud, to get with Aqua, Aqua deserve therapy more than a relationship at this point. And I'm not even going to discuss his state rn in the manga. Some of you braindead shippers are just plain embarrassing if I must say so myself.
@@loblo5542I'm a kana fan bu yeah you right 😂😂 Kana fans better let y'all enjoy your moment coz i know the manga dropped your ship Y'all should enjoy this one atleast, although it hurts me to watch😭
Idk. Like why would he feel close to the doctor in the way he talked about when visiting the home. Also this would mean that Akane just straight up chooses not to say shit at all about how the guy he thinks is his dad isn’t his dad. I think it makes perfect sense that she thinks the doctor is his dad. He implies a very strong relationship to him. It would also explain why she doesn’t tell him his “dad” (shared by his half brother) isn’t his dad
FreshestAnime this is Crow Girl it makes the most sense because that little girl knew to much about AI's death and the situation of the doctor for her age.
The last part of the episode was a teaser of what would happen in the future like at the end of episode 1. Just wait until they reveal what "the 15 year lie" is. As manga reader, I didn't expect at all that they will show that at this moment of the anime. The same with the last scene that is a bit further in the manga. That scene is like 20 chapters from when they ended with Ruby on the temple. Season 3 has some epic moments and I hope that as we have dark ruby now, they will animate as post credit scene certain extra chapter of oshi no ko.
6:58 I wonder how Ruby left. Did she go on ahead and leave the little girl on the roof? Did she let the little girl leave first? Or did they leave the roof together, and, if so, did Ruby ask anymore questions?
3:56 I don't know what Akane thinks, but I can't believe she thinks that's his dad. 1. She knows that the murderer he's seeking out is his dad, because he's been searching for the murderer via a peturnity test. 2. She knows said murderer is still alive even though Aqua has mistaken him as dead 3. Said guy who's dead was never a doctor in the boonies and would have probably been found with his wife. 4. That guys was already in the news and all details of his death are known, not a mystery whatsoever. So the murderer is alive and she knows very well this person is not the mistaken father that Aqua knows died in a double suicide. It is something else entirely. At most she thinks that this is the doctor that delivered them and Aqua bonded with said doctor during his very early years of life living in this area.
And here begin officially the dark Ruby arc A little girl surrounded by crows isn't a demon only creepy The next season Ruby and Kana make 2 big mistake and they regret it
In Japan, the act of extracting something from a dead body is like stealing a relic from a coffin, and at the same time, stealing something from a single person can lead to theft, and as a human being, there are some concerns.
Season 3 and now this series is going to focus and revolve around Ruby in one shape or form. Dark Ruby is here and she is here to stay for a long time. Season 3 is going to be a lot of oh s moments. Trust us by the manga readers.
There will be a live action adaptation for Oshi no Ko that will be released on Prime on Nov. 28 + Sequel film on Dec 20. And the cast is sooo good. We get to see Ai's death again but this time in live action!
@17:30 nah, she doesn't think that he is saying the doctor was his dad. That wouldn't add up with him going into acting to find an actor or artist or showbiz person that he thinks is most likely his dad. Which is the same conclusion that she came to with her Batman skills already.
I don't think that Himekawa's mom was the same age as Aqua's dad when they had a baby since she was already married at that point. This makes it very creepy because then an adult woman and 11ish-year-old boy had a baby and it is possible that Aqua's dad was not the bad one in THERE...
I am anime only so no spoilers , but the dad doing business at 11 years old , to me that tells me he either also reincarnated, or he is also something supernatural like the little girl.
I feel like its quite obvious for people that are confused. Stars in the eyes represent ambition or a "goal" in mind perhaps a dream wether dark or good. Its not a genetic trait or rather a feature the characters themselves can see. Thats my take on it anyways
get this, the father, is the Darth Vader, bringing in the "Death Star" on to some unfortunate star. can't wait when Aqua get the "Luke, I'm your father" scene
I have to constantly hold myself back from confirming or denying any of your hypothesis simply because it hasn't been confirmed in the anime yet. The struggle is real.
Fresh with the brains... I won't say anything because I don't want to confirm or deny any theories that will be explained in season 3. I just like how Fresh brain worked.
your reaction was the first one I sought out after I watched this episode. I have not read the manga, so am brainstorming off of only what I deduce from the show. Please no one spoil it for us! A few things popped in my head after seeing it through your eyes: 1. I think you mixed up the middle schooler and college aged person. I'm pretty sure the stalker was middle schooler, because he looked to be around the same age as Ai in Season 1 ep 1. 2. I'm 70% leaning toward the dad somehow being a little like our crow god shortie. he doesn't look like he's aged to me. 3. WHAT IF the story Aqua and Ruby made up to convince Miyako in Season 1 Episode 1 was accidentally actually TRUE? Ai and the kids were chosen by the God of Entertainment etc etc etc.
I don't know who that is either, but my take (I've never red the manga and I'm just guessing) is that dad is still killing girls, ruby is going to see this is unknown girl as a clue, and Aqua is going to realize his revenge isn't over, and presto, third season

The cooking that Doga Kobo has done this episode cannot be understated.

当時大学生くらいの男と中学生くらいの男の子
At that time, there was a man who was about college age and a boy who was about junior high school age.
Aka 12 to 15
Ai was 16
So to answer your question Joe (this is a non-spoiler context), She is just another celebrity or popstar.
In the manga, before she died it is explained she was going with a guy on a hitchhiking and i think somebody said that people have gone missing based on the news and TADA!
The shot of Ruby was used and is why the group takes off and Ruby as well.
The post credit scene, quick theory, might go into it more in season 3 but in case they did just skip the chapter completely
The Dad was walking around with her with his hair tied up and eyes closed seeming like they’re on good terms.
Chapter 162 reader screams NOOOOO, that's a neta bare :)
You think Akane would put 2 and 2 together and figure out ticking Aqua's trauma trigger is bad after seeing what Kana's no context comment did but then this happens
Guess the smartest character has weaknesses after all, I'll keep defending Aqua sees Akane more as a friend than anything else especially since Ruby has that same reaction of easily opening up to her after meeting her finally
Rubys black staringan arc gonna go crazy
I remember when reading the manga, the woman in the end had an entire chapter about her and the father. It seems like they skipped it unless they will animate it eventually.
This is just my theory behind the sparkling star eyes and the dark gloomy eyes effects on this anime
For talents, there are basically 2 types
We know who is winning in the manga so I'm not really worried about Akane and Aqua relationship.
Revenge win lmao. The only one that didnt get to kiss aqua is Kana 😂😂😂
its not looking good rn 😬😬😬
@@gusp6612shows how special she is
Aqua be kissing everyone including his sis but kana, he must really love and respect her
@@JayPlays-yr4yq cope. Aqua never share any deep bond or romantic moment with Kana lmao. Great love. Sure.
Akane for the win
Akane ain't win nothing he never said he loved her or they should start dating he did kiss her but thats it
Spoiler
Not in the manga
@@ninonakano2384 Haha I already read the manga. So just leave me be and let me have this victory, even if it's only for a moment.
@@jarvisfowlkes3200 Yeah yeah yeah sure.
@@loblo5542I'm a kana fan bu yeah you right 😂😂
Kana fans better let y'all enjoy your moment coz i know the manga dropped your ship
Y'all should enjoy this one atleast, although it hurts me to watch😭
A lot of reactors don't understand the "He was your..." I think logical answer is just that he was the doctor in charge of the birth
At the beginning, Akane was just thinking/saying "So he was your... [friend] (that he talked about while they were taking a stroll)." Not his dad.
We are in the dark Ruby arc and pops is still out here catching bodies 😭
6:40
In Japan, elementary school is 6 years, junior high school is 3 years, high school is 3 years, and university is 4 years.
We are finally getting lore accurate MEM and I’m sooooooo here for it!
6:58 I wonder how Ruby left. Did she go on ahead and leave the little girl on the roof? Did she let the little girl leave first? Or did they leave the roof together, and, if so, did Ruby ask anymore questions?
Aquane stays on top
3:56 I don't know what Akane thinks, but I can't believe she thinks that's his dad.
1. She knows that the murderer he's seeking out is his dad, because he's been searching for the murderer via a peturnity test.
2. She knows said murderer is still alive even though Aqua has mistaken him as dead
At most she thinks that this is the doctor that delivered them and Aqua bonded with said doctor during his very early years of life living in this area.
can't believe they spoiled his face so early
y'all are lucky
Interesting how we as the audience of the anime can see which shots of Pop In 2 is done earlier or later based on Ruby's eyes...
13:15 "I like that song. That song was fire!" One could even say it was... Poppin'.
Y'all have to remember, Aqua cannot be with Kana because she's an idol, that's why he went with Akane. She would've won otherwise.
And here begin officially the dark Ruby arc
A little girl surrounded by crows isn't a demon only creepy
The next season Ruby and Kana make 2 big mistake and they regret it
"So he was your..."
Dog. Akane meant his dog. Because on the previous episode, Aqua asked Akane if the corpse of a lost dog would be found.
In Japan, the act of extracting something from a dead body is like stealing a relic from a coffin, and at the same time, stealing something from a single person can lead to theft, and as a human being, there are some concerns.
Poor cute Ruby... Now she is gonna struggle in pain like Aqua😢 people don't empathy to her. "So cool, finally dark arc" bro...
I really appreciate you on not putting the spoiler thumbnail as you said, thanks!
Season 3 and now this series is going to focus and revolve around Ruby in one shape or form. Dark Ruby is here and she is here to stay for a long time. Season 3 is going to be a lot of oh s moments. Trust us by the manga readers.
Wait, manga readers, does this mean that season 3 will end at…that…part…oh god here we go…
There will be a live action adaptation for Oshi no Ko that will be released on Prime on Nov. 28 + Sequel film on Dec 20. And the cast is sooo good. We get to see Ai's death again but this time in live action!
I thought Akane was thinking the corpse was the friend he had in this town who was from the house they visited previously (his old house)
The dad might look younger, maybe he just look like a middle schooler, but he is older
Ai got pregnant when she was 15, that's all I'm gonna say as a manga reader
Peak after Peak, Joe
His Dad? Bruh what?
One week hiatus was too much for our dude here, lol
I think the STAR eyes are meant to represented those who are talented or amazing at their job.
I feel like its quite obvious for people that are confused. Stars in the eyes represent ambition or a "goal" in mind perhaps a dream wether dark or good. Its not a genetic trait or rather a feature the characters themselves can see. Thats my take on it anyways
Mom, I'm On TV 😎

Fantastic season!
Love hearing your theories as always!
Can't wait for season 3. It's gonna be wild!
get this, the father, is the Darth Vader, bringing in the "Death Star" on to some unfortunate star.
can't wait when Aqua get the "Luke, I'm your father" scene
Dude the ending was crazy man I can't wait for season 3
I have to constantly hold myself back from confirming or denying any of your hypothesis simply because it hasn't been confirmed in the anime yet.
The struggle is real.
Fresh with the brains... I won't say anything because I don't want to confirm or deny any theories that will be explained in season 3. I just like how Fresh brain worked.
plot gets even darker and heavier here on out my boy
Daddy's a serial killer😂
your reaction was the first one I sought out after I watched this episode. I have not read the manga, so am brainstorming off of only what I deduce from the show. Please no one spoil it for us!
A few things popped in my head after seeing it through your eyes:
14/11/2024
Oshi No Ko has ended.
It's been a wild ride guys
OSHI NO PEAK
Absolute Peak Cinema
She's a kami specifically yatagarasu crows are yatagarasus sign .
I don't know who that is either, but my take (I've never red the manga and I'm just guessing) is that dad is still killing girls, ruby is going to see this is unknown girl as a clue, and Aqua is going to realize his revenge isn't over, and presto, third season
The way aqua kissed akane…THE WAY THEY REVEALED HIKARU (whatever his name was) HE IS BEAUTIFUL BROO
