You are one badass American. Thanks for what you do.
Grandpa Hickok is the proto-Giga Chad.
@@celticwarlord4204 That made me lol, ty 😂
That stock looks great with the oil finish. I have two Uberti 1873s, one exactly like yours and another in short rifle configuration. The shorty is very nice, half octagonal, half round barrel. Uberti does a very good job with these, I have an original to compare side by side, you have to look hard to see any differences.
I love the half octagon! I'm so torn on a new Ruger Marlin 1894 in stainless or one of these with a 18 1/2 inch half octagon barrel.
Most iconic rifle in history. The Gun That Won The West. And what a year 1873 was! The Winchester and the Colt Single Action Army! With one of each, you were a well-healed man without a doubt.
And don't forget the springfield trapdoor
Love all the old guns and stories you have on your channel. Thanks for the enjoyment. God bless you and your family.
In a world gone crazy, this channel is where I come to help calm my worried soul.
❤️ Love Cowboy🤠 Guns, Single Action Revovlers, Leverguns & Shotguns!
My Uberti 1873 Winchester Replica 20 inch barrel chambered in .357 Magnum is my absolute favorite/fun firearm. And I love the red tint
Two lever-actions in almost the same week, now that's more than welcome. Fantastic job with the makeover, so much dedication to this one!
My most favorite youtube creator in the gun community.
Love a 1873. Gotta agree with you on the wood. Thanks for the videos! They're all awesome!
i like how when he shot it the screen brightness went up as if hickok was shooting the holy grail of lever actions
Man thats a bucket list gun for me. Ive been trying to find a decent marlin or uberti chambered in 45 colt for years now. Ive got 3 rossi 92 rifles in 357, puma 44mag and 44-40, then 3 JM marlins in 44mag, 30-30 and 45-70, pre64 winchester 94 in 30-30 and one lonely 1887 12ga
Nice collection.
@racecitypatriot66 thank you I've gotten lucky over the years with my local shops because there's always a bunch of budget friendly cowboy stuff down here in AZ
Literally gorgeous! That is one spectacular rifle and thank you so much for the educational video
I have a Rossi M92 in 45 Colt. I use the tang sight for 100 yards and the stock sights for 50 yards. Served me well for many years in Cowboy action.
You need a blank in that mid-barrel dovetail cut... love your vids Hickcok. That 73 looks great. These are all the rage now in CAS with "short stroke" kits. IMHO, that's "gaming" as there was nothing of the kind in the period... but it is what it is... I personally have purchased a Rossi R92 in 45 Colt to shoot even though it doesn't help me be competitive but that's OK. I just enjoy the whole experience and comradery.
That gun looks so amazing! Definitely my favorite
Found a Cimarron 1873 Urberti about three months ago and snatched it up. Excellent firearms
Got mine from long hunter jim. About 2000. Short stroked and everything. Also got my 1911 from him.
A piece of art!
The beautiful Hills of Tennessee, no better place to celebrate it !
I have a kind of unusual version maybe a bit older and marked "Navy Arms" but it is made in Italy also.. it is the 30" barrel with the sporting wood meaning it is checkered and has a pistol grip. The gun is really pretty and is in 44-40 as were the originals. The 73 has about the slickest action ever.
Uberti revolvers are amazingly finished 👌
This guys like my 3ed pap ❤ beautiful Winchester/uberti ; Hickok is the Man !
I want a Winchester so bad, they're such good rifles.
make it happen this year
I'll get one someday, soon I hope.
Wow...I thought at first you had it restocked. That's some nice figure in that wood.
Thank the lord for this man a real patriot
I hate that shiny orangey wood as well. Now that rifle looks more like a true blue Winchester now.
The movie studios should get somebody to refinish the Italian firearms they use in Westerns. It's a dead give-away that the revolvers and lever guns are Italian reproductions, at least for anybody who knows firearms.
@hickok45 yes sir! I'm all for reproduction of old firearms, but they have to be authentic coppies too....I very much share your love for lever guns, and I have a few of my own. Thanks for your videos, sir, and more power to you and John.
I love my eBirdie that was the first gun on my bucket list when I retired 45 Long Colt to match my pistol. I love it! My friends can't get over how well made it is and beautiful it is
Watching an earlier video on your 1873 got me hooked into cowboy action shooting with the TN Wartrace Regulators … fun with cowboy guns 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month…..
That rifle looks 1000% better with the stock refinish. You've made up my mind to do the same with mine. I never liked the glossy reddish finish on the Ubertis either.
A man that can hold on to something for that long and even make it better, is a sign of character. Good job papa hickcock!
I remembered that he used this classic lever-action rifle back in the film strain 100
And I can’t believe that’s him when I watch that movie.
It was actually my Henry Reproduction rifle that I used in that movie to dispatch the zombies and save that hot young lady! I figured the brass frame would look cooler on camera.
I have an Uberti 1873 as well (mine is .38/.357 though). I absolutely love mine. I'll have to disagree about the finish though. I like yours, but I enjoy the Uberti finish on mine.
Nice Winchester Hickok. I have my dad's in 30-30 love it.
What are calibers available?
@@philiprandolph4176 the only two I know are 30-30 and 45-70 in Winchester. But I'm sure there are more
@@philiprandolph4176 the model 73 only came in smaller calibers. The 32-20, 38-40, 44-40, and I think 22 rimfire. The later browning designs were the ones that were chambered for the 45-70 and 30-30, etc. the 73’s toggle link action is too short and weak for those.
That's a beautiful rifle you have hickock45. Yes Sir, you have a beauty, congratulations.
The wood grain is fantastic looking and, it's chambered in a hard hitting caliber.
Awesome 1873 Winchester rifle happy 25th anniversary thanks for sharing Hickok45
Love my one uberti .357 .38 spec for rabbits and 357 for bigger game yet to reload a few hot rounds to push out the distance a bit further had repo 1886 sights fitted as didn't like the standard half buck horns.
9:14 the sun is radiating with every shot
Linda arma, parabéns cowboy!
thanks hickok 45, bloody beautiful 🤙
life is good ! thanks to power 💥
Nice looking finish job Hickok! I have a pair of those 1873's one in 45 Colt and the other .44 Magnum. Both great shooters!
I got a taurus model 1873 chamber in 38/357 magnum,my dad gave his own rifle because he consider was too old to be hunting. It's great rifle it's silver with brownish wood.
Love the delay between the bang & the gong!
Cowboy target: *minding its own business*
Hickok with a cowboy gun: you’ve yee’d your last haw
Hickok it's your fault I bought another Uberti 73 after I'd sold my last one to fund an IWI ACE. Just had the 73 out on Tuesday. What's not to love about 13+1 rounds of .45
Beautiful pice of steel and wood.
If anyone is in Tennessee y’all should be contacting your representatives. There trying hard to pass a red flag law.
Do you have any idea how many lever guns I've bought because of you?
Not enough
Very nice with the oiled stock! Exactly what mine is refinished with! ❤ Not so fond of laquer!
I actually have one of those sites. I always have loved the 73 it's always been a favorite of mine. It's just too bad you can't find them in 4570. I know what you're talkin about about the wood I'm not going to say what brand that I bought but by golly it was as red as can be I guess but I most definitely stripped that baby down and now it finally looks like walnut wood. Beautiful rifle
Great as usual Mr. Hickok. I have a request though and would love to see a review on Henry’s new Big Boy Revolver in 357?
The stock looks great. Will you be doing an 150 year anniversary celebration of the Winchester 1873, Colt SSA, .45 Colt, 45-70 and .44-40 this year?
Vraiment un bel objet. J'adore les 1873.
Hickok 2024!
Great choice on the finish color.
Happy Anniversary! She's beautiful!
Wow! Looks like the Quigley Down Under Rifle! Nice finish!
Beautiful rifle, interesting video as usual. Always relaxing to watch this channel 👍
You are not alone, but when a rifle is physically an 1873, I don''t think of it as a "Reproduction". Agreed on the finish, good job.
Stock looks great! I've got the Uberti 1873 Carbine (also in .45 Colt), which has the semi-crescent butt plate, which I prefer to the full crescent. It's the same exact gun that appears in the movie Hostiles, carried and used by Christian Bale.
Beauty of a firearm ❤
Damn nice,outstanding,awesome Rifle.
It is beautiful.
That thing is so cool!
I wonder what Hickok would think of Air Rifles or Pneumatic weapons, particularly the 1780 Girardoni Air Rifle 👍
I hope to be getting my first '73 for cowboy shooting soon! . . . maybe after my shoulder heals from rotator cuff surgery
You've had that gun for basically as long as I've been born
That rifle is the same age as me 😂 love your videos, bud
it's incredible how good we Italians are at making excellent weapons despite the fact that in Italy there isn't a culture of rifles and pistols....

Beautiful rifle!
Love the lever guns..... thanks 45
Another Great rifle I'd love to have. Replica or not.
Great video brother.
God bless all here.
What a beautiful rifle
I love it I have a uberti 1873 commemorative.
Wish I could afford something like that in this economy. Let's hope the US government gets less fascist next year.
Just go do it, cause it will be much much worse. It is now or never, work hard, the window is closing fast.
Beautiful stock! I don't even mind the red ones but that's beautiful.
Great rifle
It would be great to see a 150 year anniversary video. Get all your Colt, Winchester, and Springfield 1873s out. Or all your .44WCF, .45 Colt, and .45-70 firearms out.
Yep, it's on the To-Do list.
Would love to see a hickok45 review of the new zastava zpap m70
Hermosa arma!.
Hikhok is a Legend!
Who doesn't love a side gate lever. When are you going to do another "Armed in XXXX"?
Sweet Rifle! Thanks for Sharing!
Love watching the channel guys. Keep up the hard work! By any chance, could we get 4k?
Beautiful rifle shot very accurately. Please advise if Federal Ammunition is no longer a sponsor of the channel.
You can always see who our current sponsors are in Sunday videos, as well as any other newly recorded video.
Wow! Great refinishing job! Well done!
I won a Uberti 1873 in a Raffle, but it’s chambered in 44-40.. oh man, can’t find any ammo.. darn it.. this video motivates me to wanna shoot it!
Try MidwayUSA or Buffalo Bore. You should find ammo there. I reload my own, but have purchased same on-line. It’s pricy though.
Good excuse to start reloading!
Very beautiful rifle
Wish the healthiness for you, gentleman!
How neat Mr. Hickok!
I have a Winchester ‘73 (new manufacture) chambered in .45 Colt. I love that rifle and might like to put that type rear sight on it, but nothing more than that.
Grandpa thats is good Rifles ❤❤
The Italians make beautiful rifles like
Americans used to make
Sweet!
Thanks so much for the review! I was wondering about your thoughts on the Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra FS? I have been trying to find a good budget 1911 10mm.
Beautiful!!!!
Merci John Wayne
He usually carried a 92!
It don't feel right being this early
Classic.
