    Just followed your video and worked like a charm! Thank you!

    Great video, thanks a million!
    For those who have not replaced their actuator, unplug it and try to get the noise to happen. This could keep you from buying the wrong side like I did.

      @@RodriguezRepairs Looks like neither the driver actuator or the passenger side are the culprit. Do you have a video, or know of one, that shows accessing the recirculating door actuator? After that their only the Mode actuator left. Maybe that's the clicker?
      I do get confused with all the terms. blend door verses recirculating verses mode verses temperature verses defrost actuators. From what I see there are 4 that control the air flow in the dash.

      @@newgardener Yes there are 4 actuators in total, the Blend door actuators control the temperature of the cabin from hot to cold! There is 2 of them.The "Mode" Door actuator controls the direction of the airflow (defrost, face, feet, or a combination of both) and the Recirculation actuator closes a door so airflow can be generated inside the cabin rather than getting air from the outside!

      @@RodriguezRepairsDo you know of any video or picture to help locate the re-circulation and mode actuators?

    Do you know what the metal rod turns? It seems like the white plastic part is what controls the door, so what does the rod in the center of the actuator control? Thanks.

    Would these cause loud growling noises behind the mid/passanger side of the dash? Almost like its switching the modes on its own but doing it very loudly

    • @RodriguezRepairs
      @RodriguezRepairs  2 місяці тому

      Well, if it's the modes that are switching then I would go after the mode door actuator not the blend door actuator.

    Did you have to do anything special to get the new actuator on? For some reason I cannot get mine onto the pendulum/the white plastic square around it.

    • @RodriguezRepairs
      @RodriguezRepairs  6 місяців тому +1

      Did you try some white lithium grease on it to make it easier to slide?

    • @SlimyJack
      @SlimyJack 6 місяців тому +1

      @@RodriguezRepairs I had to open up the actuator itself and twist the opening to line up with the pendulum. But I ended up getting it on!

    Do you know where can I find the rear seats actuator?

      Do you mean the blend door actuator for the rear temp?

      @@RodriguezRepairs I need to know that myself so... amd does the passenger side control driver side

    • @tiamachacek2232
      @tiamachacek2232 2 місяці тому

      @lowl7268 I believe the one that controls the temp is on drivers side behind the little carpet panel on the side of the middle console. Don't quote me on that but that is one of the actuators for the rear just can't remember what exactly it controls

     on my 2002 DeVille the driver and passenger blows cold but the rear vent blows hot. What do you think?

    • @RodriguezRepairs
      @RodriguezRepairs  Рік тому

      Does it blow hot? or it blows cool but not as cool as the front vents? Or is it stuck in the hot position?

    • @reggiehammond6508
      @reggiehammond6508 Рік тому

      @@RodriguezRepairs the rear blow out hot. It’s not stuck cause it starts cold and then goes into hot air.

    is this the same for a 2001 eldorado? i know a lot of replacement parts in the eldo are very similar to the deville

    • @RodriguezRepairs

      I am not sure if the part numbers would be the same, but its a possibility, the devilles, sevilles were similiar so the el dorado is also the same
