When Joe Biden won the US Presidential election, President Donald Trump threatened legal action in some of the battleground states that were among the last to count their ballots. It was all part of a campaign to cast doubt on the legality of mail-in ballots, which disproportionately favored Joe Biden. The lawsuits themselves likely won’t alter the course of the election. But one in Pennsylvania sheds light on how the current US Supreme Court might rule on future election laws.

Why do we even have a partisan supreme court? Shouldn't they be impartial to either party?
@No One I don't think it really is impossible though. Centrists exist, as well as people who often vote for different sides. I think simply having justices who aren't backed or helped by a specific party can go a long ways. Obviously no human can ever remain completely impartial, but we can still have humans who aren't going to support people just for the party.
@No One I understand that. However having people who aren't publicly backed by a party would still go a long ways, as then most justices have to at least appear impartial with their decisions. Even if we have to create a system to get out the judges we believe to not be impartial. We already have positions in government where party isn't even shown, so I'm just saying this should be one of those.
The Supreme court is supposed to be non partisan. Thats why they are nominated for life, so they won’t have to continually be affected by getting reelected, which would mean taking money from a party

There are laws being made in Arizona where the courts will HAVE to look at the evidence of voter fraud. And the State legislators can overturn an election.

I mean it was historically pretty clear. Votes counted on or before election day. The end of election day is the end of voting. Votes determine electoral college votes in most states and circumstances. EC votes determine the president.
Of course in 2020 we all live in segregated informational bubbles and many people will selectively argue those points based on how much it benefits blue team or red team.

@N F Absolutely. As of early 11/9/20, Nevada has counted 97% of votes cast, while California is at 89%. It's just a state like California can be called 2 seconds after the polls close.
@N F It is true that networks have declared a winner too soon and been wrong. But, even if that happens, it doesn't change anything. The winner is officially certified by each state's Secretary of State after all votes are counted.
And no network makes a declaration until that state's polls are closed. So the vote is in before any declarations are made. And that's the important thing.

The problem is they interpret the constitution instead of deciding what is right from wrong. SCOTUS can deny the case from being seen too if it may seem too controversial.

What amazes me is how in the US political parties control basically everything to do with elections. In Australia for instance, all elections are entirely run by an independent outside organisation (AEC for federal elections) that the government can't mess with. The organisations control things like voting locations, counting votes, drawing electorates, etc.
This is how it is in Canada too. We have an outside organization funded by tax dollars but independent of any political party to run our elections. Voting isn't mandatory though, which I believe it is in Australia or correct me if I'm wrong?

2020 posed tremendous issues. Our election system was drastically changed in order to meet the needs of the pandemic. It has been shown that Mail In Ballots had heavily favored one political party over the other. There has been legitimate concerns of voter fraud due to massive mail in ballot turnout.
This is not a normal election. It's not over yet. We must ensure that everything is fair and legal. The Media dosen't get to decide who won the election...

Who's everyone? Most of us want the voter fraud allegations to be examined to see A) the extent of which it has occured, if at all, and B) who the genuine winner is. Mail in ballots have always been a problem and it is almost a given that any election result with them should be taken with a grain of salt until they're verified as legitimate. The media is calling him President-elect when he hasn't won yet.

The fact that our nation has been moving from individual liberty toward communism since the early 1900's, is really proof that we suffered from fraudulent elections at one level to many levels,---for a very very long time.
