@xamarmm you're absolutely right and if it's okay with you, I'm not sure that non-Americans know what gerrymandering is so I'll give them the short of it. A quick google search will show that it's a manipulation of boundries of an electoral constituency so as to favor one party or class. Basically, regions are grouped together based on how officials want to manipulate the governing of an area. They can carve through an entire city separating them from each other to further enhance their support. So if say, a yellow party is drawing out the lines, they can take a look at an orange area and draw out the map so the area will look more yellow than red. If it helps, look up Chicago's 4th congressional district to see how extreme it can get. This can have major implications for not only how the representatives of an area is elected, but what sort of funding an area can receive to make it a better place to live. Certain areas will face direct voter suppression by some half-assed excuse stating that their area is not appropriate enough to put in a ballot collection office so thousands of people will have to travel to a specific center for hundreds of thousands of other people to put in their vote.
I live in a town of 25 000 ish, with about 8 polling places, I might have waited 10 minutes once or twice ever. The US is working against voters by the looks of things.
In Italy, whenever you move to some town and are a citizen, you receive by mail the document that you need to vote from the municipality. I never had to vote in a place that was more than 3 minutes away from home, and never ever had to wait on a line that was more than 5 minutes long. Heads up, whilst we have a lot of renewable energy projects in australia, the Liberal party (conservative in australia) are still very much owned by the big oil companies and do not support it at the level that they should.
The Liberal (conservative) Party also consistently attacks Medicare, diminishing its effectiveness, and would probably abolish it completely given the opportunity. So not sure the claims they made in the video that they support universal health care are entirely true.

I really love how Republicans are about free market, yet when it plays against them they switch side and want to limit it. Democracy is a market, where you sell your ideas and get votes for them. @@grantjohnson5785 I mainly mean the republican party restricting how one could vote, basically limiting people to vote in person and not by mail-in ballots, because democrats mostly vote by ballots. I live in Florida and voted at my polling place at 11am, 5 minute walk, no wait, no guns, and a 150ft no soliciting zone. A friend of mine who lives a few miles away had to wait about 30 minutes to vote at his polling place. It really depends on the precinct one lives in and what time of day.
