How long did you leave it on after the light on the charger turned red, cause as soon as I disconnected mine to start charging normally. The light on the charger turned back to green.
@@TheZmoss man, I fixed it yesterday. It happened to be the thermal sensor located in one of the side bars where the tabs of the batteries are soldered. I replaced it and the battery started to charge.

I've just done this on an original scooter that the guy hadn't charged for 2yrs. It was reading 11v, and I followed your instructions and I was able to charge normally within minutes. Many many thanks, what a great work around 😅. Let's hope the battery is still good 19% charged so far.
Bought two of these scooters for my kids during lock down. They used them for a year and well looked after. The last two years they have been in a cupboard until I decided to donate to our friends younger kids. Not charging, obviously over discharged but your tutorial had them both charging in 30 minutes. Definitely earned yourself a like, comment and subscribe - just saved my scooter from being taken to the recycling centre as it's been sat in the boot of my car unused for about 4 years. Only took a minute to get it back up to the single red flashing light so this inbuilt protection must have done a perfect job and cut off any parasitic drain so that the battery can just sit there at a low but recoverable level. Brilliant. We'll see how much capacity this took off it (I expect it'll recalculate from the 98% that Scootbatt is showing), but alive is alive!
Have to say that you are my king, at first i open the battery checked each one and saw that the level is very low, tried to play with the bms with no succuess, but then tried your trick and boom everthing is working, the m365 get charge and open. Amazing thank you very much man 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I used this trick on my M Scooter. Battery did not have a light to indicate stuff so I just left it charging a little while (1 hour give or take) and then put it all back together. It worked. 🎉
OK it worked but then stopped and had to do it again. I realized the battery is no good. It didn’t hold charge and basically when I went over 5 mph the scooter would shut off. I bought a battery on eBay and swapped it out. Now it’s working like brand new

So awesome dude thanks!!! I found a d8 pro scooter in the trash yesterday with a random 7 volt charger wired into it. Guess the previous owner didn’t know it wouldn’t charge because that chargers to weak and also the bms was in shutdown mode. Followed your method and it woke up and works! You definitely need more views this is super helpful and saves so much potentially good batteries from being thrown out.
I need to say I was very skeptical. But tested battery before attampt and it had only 12.5V. Did bridge the ground as you made it in video and battery got 36V in less then a minute. After that wired as original and it started charing normaly. After 10min of charge tried and scooter works again. To mention, before that, scooter wasnt charged for more than a year. Dude, have only just seen this, and this is what I have been looking for, so many video's I have gone through, have nearly gone and bought a new main board and possibly a new battery, but I just went and did this to my sons scooter and its the 1st time anything different has happened, we have the red light on the charger (hooray) and the battery is flashing a different colour, just waiting to see if we get the red light now.. Great worked for me on a lite3. Didn't think it would work as battery is in a black case so can't see any flashing lights, just put it on charge for 10 mins and then plugged battery in and started to charge properly😊

I have a question maybe u can help. When applying above 75% throttle the motor pulsates like it's struggling. Below 75% it's stable. Seems to ride ok however it's limited to about 10mph used to do about 14, can feel the difference. I changed throttle, hall sensors but still doing it. It's had over 150 charges. And 3 years old. I have 2 of them and my second one has just started doing the same thing. Do you reckon it's battery. As I can't see it being the motors on both.

3:19 I have the red and blue light on the BMS flashing simultaneously, and has been for a couple hours now, does anyone know what this means and if I should keep waiting? I have tried plugging it back as normal but the red light on the charger stops again. It's only at this very point that I've seen any signs of life from the scooter.
@@gsr187t Hi, The next step is to try hitting the reset button on the bms if it has one (not all do) then open the battery and test individual cell packs. Often the tabs from the bms board to the batteries break especially if using solid tyres. I am going to make a video on next steps soon
Hi there! I did your trick and it seemed to work. I have no lights on my battery pack. But, the charger light turned red and after awhile (approx 1 hour) the battery was reading 35 volts, the scooter turned on and showed 3/4 full. Which is definitely an improvement, because before your hack, it wouldn't come on at all! However, when I attempted to plug in the charger "normally", the light stayed green as if it was fully charged (like previously). The charger is testing good. what else could it be? I do not have a reset button on the BMS (that I could see). I have never actually gotten to ride this scooter (it is brand new) because I left the button on and it fully discharged the battery..

Thanks for video. Unfortunately my battery blinking red all the time. When i plug charger like you show on video it starts blinking blue and red in same time but battery is charging (comes red on charger and i check voltages by multimeter). Something else is broken? Bms is damaged?

In my case, the battery light is on as soon as I plug in the charging cable. I followed your instruction and connected the black wires together, then the light turned blue/ purple. the light on the charger turned red. Hi, I am not familiar with the Stark brand. There are many many Xiaomi clones. They normally have cheaper battery packs without the smart bms. But are are the same size so Xiaomi packs do fit but without the third cable attached.

How long should i leave charging this way and do the lights have to stop blinking blue red and go to redninnorder for this to work. I have left it on charge for 30min this way.

Parked the scooter for a while then had same issue. Tried your fix, the battery charger turned red straight away!
easier than what I did... I put a usb charger across each batch of cells until they got above 2.5v. Your wat seems much better/less risky
So charger stays on while ground jumper is connected, once I unplug it.
Goes back to not working.....any idea what else it could be?

It varies depending on how depleted the cells are and the amperage of your charger.
